Mr George, Don't Be So Arrogant novel Chapter 63

Due to Euan’s pressure, Dr. Rose had no choice but to compromise.

Riley closed her eyes. She knew that she would get to know, sooner or later.

Dr. Rose shook her head regretfully, “Riley’s right hand has been severely traumatized and it’s tendons hand veins have been injured. I’m afraid that it cannot recover fully. Moreover, I checked the meridian of the palm of her right hand, this injury is at least five years old.”

‘Five years?’

Euan looked down at Riley. She had closed her eyes; he didn’t know what she was trying to hide or avoid. However, as he looked at her, she quickly became the Riley he knew.

Full of thorns.

“Dr. Rose, you are really an expert. You could tell just by seeing. Yes, five years ago I did have an accident and injured my right hand. After that, I could no longer hold a scalpel and I had to switch from surgery to internal medicine. But now, my hand is alright; as long as the surgery is not long, I can do it.”

She spoke bluntly, avoiding the cause of the injury and sweeping over the matter.

Dr. Rose didn’t ask her the details; she nodded and said, “Take good care and rest. Mr. George, I will go back first.”

After she left, Euan looked at Riley and her hand, pondering, “How many secrets are there that I don’t know about you?”

Riley shrugged indifferently, “If it’s a secret, of course others can’t know about it. Can you say that you have no secrets?”

Euan grabbed her right hand and looked at it carefully, but there was no trace of any injury on the surface. What kind of injury did it have to be able to get detected five years later?

“You don’t need to know my secrets, but you can’t hide anything from me!”

He turned into the same old domineering Euan again, but she was immune to him now.

“Okay, fine, Euan. You can trap my people and trap me in this luxurious villa for a lifetime, but you still can’t trap my heart. I told you, if you want my heart, you can only exchange it for your heart. You want to know my secret? Then trade your secret for it!”

She smiled lightly and closed her eyes, “I am tired and sleepy.”

Euan frowned as he looked at the delicate little woman lying on the bed. There were indeed many secrets surrounding her body and she was trying very hard to hide something from him.

What was it? If she wasn’t telling him, then it wasn’t a problem, he was going to investigate it personally.

The next day, Riley woke up and found that she was lying on the big bed in the villa. She adjusted herself a little uncomfortably. Recently, she had been shifting between different beds and her brain’s switching mode had almost failed.

“Young lady, you are awake!”

Being suddenly called like that, Riley came out of the sleepiness in a second. She turned to look at the door and saw that a middle-aged woman in the George family’s servant uniform was standing there, smiling respectfully.

Riley knew this servant. She had seen her twice before in the George’s mansion and she was probably one of the kitchen staff.

“Jodie, How come you are here?”

“Master Euan asked me to come back to take care of you. Sophia and Lilah are also here. If you need anything done, please tell us.”

Riley frowned at the amount of people. Ordinarily, the villa was cold and empty, similar to an abandoned house; right now, there were three people extra, and the liveliness was a little uncomfortable for her.

“I’m okay. I don’t need to be served. Go and see what Euan needs.”

Jodie still stood there, “Master Euan has ordered me to serve you first. Breakfast is ready. Would you like to eat in your bedroom or come downstairs?”

Euan was seriously there!

“I’ll come downstairs. Can you squeeze out the toothpaste for me?”

It was a bit inconvenient to squeeze out the toothpaste with just one hand, but she was also not comfortable with someone standing besides her while she was changing clothes. Jodie nodded hurriedly, “Okay, young lady.”

It was weird. The servant’s attitude towards Riley was so nice, it was a bit bizarre!

After washing up, Riley went downstairs and saw that the table was fully set with a rich breakfast. It was completely different from the simple and light breakfast that she usually made for herself. The George family’s servants prepared a proper and sumptuous breakfast like they always did, so that the two can have a full meal.

Euan was sitting at the table and reading a financial newspaper. When he saw Riley approaching, he said coldly, “How arrogant! Everyone has been waiting for you.”

Everyone? Where? Wasn’t he the only one on the table?

Riley sat down ignoring his sarcasm, “Next time you should eat by yourself. Don’t wait for me, I can’t take responsibility for wasting your time.”

Euan frowned, putting the newspaper aside. Her words were still so ferocious.

“See? This is a real breakfast!”

Riley nodded, “I can see it, my eyesight is not that bad. How can I not see so many plates?”

The servant arranged dinner plates and cutlery in front of them and then stepped aside.

Euan began to eat slowly, “You have no self-knowledge. Think about the breakfast that you make every day; do you not feel even a bit shameful?”

Riley knew what he meant but she didn’t care. She began to eat and sipped the soup, “Of course, otherwise I would have been a cook not a doctor.”

When she was bickering, she actually looked a bit lovely to Euan.

Lovely? Even a thorny rose full of poison could look lovely.

The two ate while bickering. Riley caught a glimpse of the newspaper beside him and suddenly changed the subject, “Let me see your newspaper.”
