In the CEO office of MBK building.

Euan sat on the black executive chair. There was a lot of files on the nanmu table. He held the roller pen with his clean hand. He signed his name on the paper with strength. 

He looked around, his handsome face faced the window. He could see the view of half of the city. He had the dominant feeling when he looked at the tiny buildings from his bird’s view, he felt proud of himself.

Elijah knocked on the door, Euan said “Come in” in his low tone.

“Boss, I hear that you want to see me?”

Elijah entered. He stood straight and got ready to be instructed. He observed Euan, who seemed to have a scary aura and a bad mood. He seemed to be annoyed by Mrs. George.

Euan regained his attention. Looking at Elijah with cool sights, he seemed to think of something but did not say it out in a hurry.

His cold eyes frightened Elijah. Elijah did not dare to say anything and waited silently for him to give instruction.

Euan took a glance on his head with his deep eyes and said indifferently with a low tone, “Don’t you have something to tell me?”

Elijah who stood in front of the table was dumbfounded after being asked by Euan. It was Euan who wanted to see him, why he was being questioned now? He did not dare to speak.

Euan took a file and threw it onto Elijah. This fellow was getting bolder!

“Don’t talk nonsense.”

Elijah quickly picked up the file and put it on his table, “Yes yes yes, I am wrong, boss. Please keep calm, I will do it now.”

Euan leaned against his chair while Elijah left the office. His watch showed that it was almost 11:50 p.m.

It seemed like she would not call him for help.

Euan sighed slightly. What was he doing? Did Riley deserve his toleration?

She did not deserve it!

Out of the blue, his phone rang. Euan’s attention was distracted from the folders. He was surprised, as Riley called him finally?

Euan maintained his movement, and he looked at the screen of his phone. Riley seldom called him, and every time she called him was to divorce or about others’ business.

He wanted to make her nervous for at least one time to show that he was not the kind of person that obeyed easily.

One minute passed with her nervousness and anxiousness. Riley was stunned, as he did not pick up her call?

Was he not aware of the ringtone? Was he busy? Having a meeting? Went Outside?

It was almost 12 o’clock. Euan, didn’t you change your mind suddenly!

Riley called again, it was as same as just now, no one picked up her call. Riley did not feel embarrassed to beg him now, instead, she felt uneasy about being ignored.

If Euan changed his mind, she did not have any other ways.

Finally, the call was picked up at her third attempt.
