Mr George, Don't Be So Arrogant novel Chapter 80

Sarah’s eyes looked in the direction of Riley’s gaze. Kaysorn was already not in sight, “What are you looking at? Are there cute boys around here? Your eyeballs were about to fly out of its sockets.”

Riley poked her forehead, “Other than cute boys, what else do you have here? Stop thinking about men.”

“I think about money too! I need it to flirt with the hotshots, don’t I? Hehe.” Sarah continued to scan the vicinity but spotted no cute or handsome men.

“Your life goal is pretty simple. You only need a man and money.”

“Nooo, I need you too! Hahaha!”

Whenever the two best friends were together, they were able to be themselves. Riley leaned on the sofa, her emotions and body were totally relaxed.

“Have you done anything useful after returning to the country for so long? You graduated already. When are you planning to work?”

A handsome guy squeezed in between the two, and in his hands were wine glasses, “Don’t just keep chatting. What about if we play Ring Of Fire? Let’s get the night started!”

The crowd cheered upon hearing his suggestion. Riley wanted to reject them, but she couldn’t withstand the many people who came to persuade her. In the end, she agreed to join the game for a short while.

As a newbie, she completely lost the first round.

“One shot! Pretty doctor, that was a good one! Come on, let’s continue!”

Once Sarah started drinking, she was unstoppable. The more she drank, the more excited and sober she became. She could never get drunk, and that was a fact.

During the game, Riley lost a few more rounds. Sarah gulped down the alcohol she was supposed to drink at twice the volume.

Even so, she drank two glasses of beer and half a shot of whiskey.

“I’m going to the restroom for a bit.”

“Okay okay…you guys, don’t stop the game. Fuck you, Mr. Parry. How dare you pull a trick in front of me! You’re courting for death! Quickly, gulp it down!”

Riley stood before the bathroom counter and washed the back of her hand and her arm with the tap water. The alcohol in her stomach was burning again. Her low tolerance of alcohol would definitely kill her one day.

At the other corner of the bar.

Kaysorn smirked and waved for his subordinate to come over. He lowered his voice and whispered his orders in his ears.

“Yes, boss.”

“After it’s done, you’ll be rewarded. But if you mess it up…”

“Don’t worry, boss. I will succeed!”

After Riley washed her face, her mind finally cleared up a little, but her face was still flushing with redness. Blurrily, she seemed to have seen Euan’s face in the mirror. This time, she knew it was just an illusion.

A waiter happened to pass by with a tray of glasses filled with drinking water when Riley came out from the restroom.

“I’d like a glass of water, please.”

“Sure, Miss.”

Riley picked up a glass and gulped it down. Once she was in a better state, only then did she go back to Sarah.

“It’s getting late. Sarah, I’m going home first. You guys continue.”

Euan and Lydia should be asleep by now. It was good news for her as long as she didn’t have to bump into them.

“You’re leaving earlier again…Hey, what’s wrong? Your face is so red. Ugh, it’s all my fault for not protecting you well enough just now. Let me send you home as redemption for my sins.”

“You want to send me home? Forget it. You can’t drive when you’re drunk. I’ll just hail a cab.”

“No! What kind of best friend would I be if I let you do that? Hey guys, I’ll be leaving with this beauty now. You guys have fun!”

The two ladies exited the bar. The night wind which blew on their skin was refreshing. Sarah released a hiccup, stretched her arms up, and tried to put it around Riley’s shoulder, “Is that bitch still staying in the villa?”

“Yeah, she’s playing the role as the master of the house pretty well. Ordering the people here and there and whatnot.”

It was freaking annoying!

They chatted while walking and were already a distance away from the bar unknowingly.

“What the fuck? What is Euan even thinking? He wouldn’t divorce with you, but he wouldn’t let go of Lydia Saunders either. Fuck him! Hey…Riley, what’s wrong?”

As Sarah was happily cursing her heart out, Riley suddenly slumped and squatted on the ground with her arms around her stomach.

“Sarah, my…stomach…hurts…”

Once she finished her words, her face turned pale from the redness there a little while ago. She was now as pale as a ghost, and there were barely any colours on her face.

“Wh-what? Even period pain isn’t this extreme. Don’t scare me! How painful is it?”

Sarah tried to pull her to stand, but Riley’s stomach was clenching in pain, and she didn’t have any strength at all. The beads of sweat on her forehead were increasing, and her back was wet from her sweat in less than a minute.

This pain didn’t feel like period pain, nor was it like the burn from alcohol…

But…

Riley was startled, “Sarah, send me…to the hospital!”

She was probably poisoned.

“Okay, okay. Don’t be afraid, I’ll get us a cab now!”

However, ever since they came out of the bar, no cab was in sight on the roads. Although Sarah was a person who was never afraid of anything, Riley’s painful, trembling look frightened her to bits.

“Riley, hold on. We’ll reach the hospital in a short while…”

Finally, they got into a cab, but they were still quite a distance away from the hospital. Riley felt that she might not be able to wait anymore.

In less than twenty minutes, Riley had already lost all her strength because of the piercing pain from her stomach, which then traveled to her whole body. Her clothes were now all wet from her sweat. Her hands were pressed tightly against her stomach, strands of hair stuck to her face, and her lips had turned purple from the pain.

“Sa…rah…If I die, you…”

“Hey! Stop that nonsense! Give me your phone! Isn’t that assistant head of the hospital of yours an expert? He must have a way to save you! Riley, just rest and don’t speak!”

Sarah reached her hand out to look for Riley’s phone in her handbag. With her shaking hands, she finally managed to get a hold of it after quite some time. Then, she swiped a few times on the screen before dialing out a number…
