A young doctor in the emergency room was so frightened by Sarah’s formidable aura that he didn’t understand what she just said.

Sarah got angry.

Her tone and expressions changed way too quickly.

Sarah accompanied Riley to the observation room. She kept secretly glancing at William the whole way. She had heard Riley mention William before, but she never gave it much thought thinking that all the Deputy Deans and such people were always middle-aged men. Who would think that a middle-aged man liked a female doctor in her twenties? Only a pervert does that!

But now she found out that William was a young, charming and handsome doctor.

She put down the towel in her hand and looked solemnly at William. Fuck, he looked even more handsome. Perhaps because he thought the pyjamas set was a bit inappropriate for the hospital, he had covered it with a doctor’s white coat that the nurse brought over. His clothes inside were not visible unless someone looked at his lower legs. He was really way too elegant.

“You woke up!”

William smiled, “You were brought here last night because you were poisoned. But now you are all okay.”

“How about Sarah? Is she okay?”

Riley struggled to get up but was pressed back on the bed by William, “She is okay, still sleeping.”

As he said, he pointed to Sarah who was sleeping curled up on the sofa. Riley sighed in relief and smiled at the same time, “I was scared to death.”

“You scared me… us to death.”

He smiled softly, looking tender and comforting.

“You didn’t stay here all night, did you?” Seeing him, it looked like he didn’t sleep at all.

William put one hand in his pocket and checked the IV line with his other hand, “It’s not important. What’s important is that you woke up and that the poison has been flushed out. The hospital procedures are all taken care of, you can rest now.”

She nodded a little apologetically. She had rejected him repeatedly and behaved indifferently and even arrogantly towards him, but he was still so gentle to her. She really didn’t know how to face him.
