Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 114

However, she didn't say anything. She just put down the list and walked aside.

Before he walked to the picture window to answer the phone, Adam took a deep look at Rebecca.

"Adam, where are you? Would you come to keep my company?" Adam heard Linda's weak voice as soon as the phone was connected.

Adam frowned slightly. "What happened?"

"My stomach is uncomfortable. Can you come back now?"

His frown deepened. "You're in Skyline No.1?"

"Yes."

"Okay, I'll be right there."

Hanging up the phone, Adam turned around and strode outwards. Before he reached the door, he thought of something and came to a sudden halt. Then he cast a glance at Rebecca not far away.

Rebecca happened to be looking at him too.

"Well... Linda said she was not feeling well. I..."

"Let me go with you, or it'll go hard for me when your parents come back." For the first time, Rebecca interrupted Adam and made a request.

It was so late. Linda wouldn't easily let Adam leave once he was there.

If Adam stayed out all night, she didn't know how she was going to explain that to Arthur and Julia.

Adam stared at her, pondering, and then nodded, "Okay, let's go."

When they arrived at Skyline No.1, Linda was curling up on the sofa with a pained and pale face.

Adam instantly scooped her up and rushed to the hospital. Rebecca followed behind him.

In the hospital, the doctor gave Linda an examination. It turned out she wasn't pretending. She even had some bleeding.

The doctor said that it was because she'd exercised too much and been in a bad mood today. She would be fine after a good rest. He instructed her to eat healthily, keep happy, and get rid of high heels. Medicines preventing miscarriage were prescribed. She could leave the hospital tomorrow morning if everything went well.

"Adam, I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I went to Marshal Davern's exhibit with my classmates today and walked too much." Reclining on the headboard of the bed with IV tubes on her arm, Linda looked up at Adam with beautiful and pitiful eyes.

But she didn't tell Adam that she had drunk spirits with Mr. Davern at noon and their dance had been loudly applauded.

"It's okay. The doctor said you would be fine." Adam stood by the bed with a gentle expression. "Have a good sleep. You'll feel better when you wake up tomorrow."

"Okay. Don't leave me," Linda said feebly, reaching out to grab Adam's hand, "Stay with me, will you? I'm afraid of being in the hospital alone."

"Okay." Adam nodded. He sat down on the bed and held her in his arms. "Go to sleep. I'm here."

"Mmm." Linda burrowed her face into his chest and smiled with satisfaction.

Outside the ward, Rebecca sat in a chair and signed slightly. She leaned back and drifted to sleep soon.

When Adam walked out of the ward after Linda had fallen asleep, she saw Rebecca there in a chair sleeping, her head lolling to one side.
