My Assassin's Void Heart novel Chapter 10

"Ah... Finally lunch!" Evalyn frowns, as she stretches. "Evie, chicken" Fae says through her sparkling eyes. "Ok ok, let's eat have that for lunch" Evalyn giggles as they stand up. Just in time, Jason was in front of their eyes, walking out of the elevator.

Fae and Evalyn looked at each other and nod. They then rushed towards their target. Fae with her deadpan expression, she went towards Jason but a guard blocked her as she was swayed away from her target.

Not wanting any more suspicions, she backed away completely from her target. "Don't get too close even if you want to lunch so badly" a voice behind her say. She turned around to see Liam smiling at her.

"It's fine" Fae says in her monotonous tone. Taking herself off from him, she bows her head down and was about to leave when Liam suddenly pulled her back, resulting it to them hugging each other. "Oh, my sincere apologies" Liam smiles.

"Its fine" Fae once again told him as she pulls herself away. "There was someone about to block you there so I did it on reflex" he says smiling at her. "Mhn" Fae says as she turns around to leave. Kristan, having witnessed all the scenes, together with the agape staffs, smirked at a thought.

"Fae, are you ok?" Evalyn asks, rushing towards her. Fae nods as they leave the company after Jason leaves out of their sight. "Damn bodyguards" Evalyn curses. "Chicken" Fae says as Evalyn sighs. "Fine, my treat" Evalyn says as they were about to leave only to be interrupted by a yell.

"Hey cuties!" Kristan's voice rang. They turn around to see Kristan dragging Liam with him. "We're about to head out for lunch. You should come with us" Kristan smiles. "No thanks, we have our own plans" Evalyn turns down, but that didn't stop Kristan from his "plans".

"This is a one of a million chance for Liam to ask girls out for lunch. Just this once please?" Kristan pleaded, showing his puppy eyes. Evalyn, hesitant, thought of a plan. I mean, befriending the child of your target? Ironic.

"We-". "You should take me instead!" they heard a voice interrupt. Dorothy ran towards them as she glared at Fae and Evalyn. "Take me instead, since they turned down such a lovely offer, I'll gladly take it!" Dorothy gave fake smile, Kristan rolling his eyes.

"Miss Dorothy here will take our place, well then see ya" Evalyn says as she takes Fae's hand and about to ran away but Kristan held her hand on time. "Dorothy isn't what we want, we want you guys. And besides, if you don't come then miss Dorothy here will be our burden" Kristan says as he snaps his fingers.

The chauffer then came along with Liam's car. "Come on ladies" Kristan smiles, as Liam sighs, following the three. Driving off, Dorothy was left there humiliated. Gritting her teeth and clenching her fists, she glared at the car. "Fae... Evalyn... you'll both pay..."
