My Fiancée Hates Me novel Chapter 116

Stella had delivered me a list of names entering the hunting competition after I finished my rounds of target practice.

"My Lady's aim is impeccable as ever! I am surprised that you had been able to pull off multiple bullseyes in a consecutive manner. I dare say that this skill is capable of rivaling professional Archers!" Stella said.

I feel as though the number of my fans continue to grow day by day. It is like there is a second Charlotte following me around every day.

"My aim is only perfect with these practice arrows," I said with a smile.

"Are you going to use other types of arrows instead?" Stella asked.

"...Something like that. I want to practice on my aim to get it close enough to where I would like it to be. I will be using a different set of arrows on the day of the competition," I said with a smile as I took the list from Stella.

As I expected, I saw Nevel Pillar's name among the contestants...

"Arielle! I am here!" Charlotte said as she waved at me from a distance.

In the distance, I saw Charlotte and Grace waving at me. I quickly waved at them back.

They had come over to play.

Other servants escorted Charlotte and Grace to my parlor, while Stella assisted me in my bath and helped me get changed before seeing them.

"I am so glad that you two came over to see me," I said excitedly.

"The pleasure is mine," Grace said.

"Grace and I are the most excited to see your hunting uniform," Charlotte said.

"I will be back soon," I said as I went to get changed again.

When I came back, the viewing party had increased by one more person.

"Garett?" I said in surprise.

"I informed you the other day that I would make a short visit today. I was suddenly dragged into this viewing party with them," Garett said with an awkward smile.

I soon remembered that I was wearing my hunting uniform and suddenly felt shy since it was my first time appearing in an outfit like this in front of Garett.

Although all of my skin remained covered, the outfit was very form fitting and did not leave much to the imagination.

"You are even more beautiful than I imagined!" Grace said excitedly.

"The style is so chic and beautiful. What do you think of Arielle's outfit?" Charlotte asked Garett.

Will he say that I look fat, or will he give me a compliment? Knowing him, it could honestly go either way.

"...Does it suit me?" I asked Garett with expectant eyes.

I really want him to compliment me...

"The outfit is supposed to be a reflection of men's sportswear with the tightly fitted shirt, pants and vest...Women are shaped differently from men, so there is a clear absence of extra fabric around the crotch area and extra fabric around the chest area to accommodate Arielle's ample chest and bottom. The brown vest is also shorter and wraps around the front in a V-shape almost like suspenders from the slender straps. I think the tailor did quite well in taking the especially difficult areas that needed extra attention such as the gap between Arielle's legs and her slim waist. All in all, I think the tailor did well in replicating men's sportswear onto Arielle's curvy figure. Regardless of what she wears, she would look good in anything because she has a very feminine figure," Garett said in one breath.

I felt so incredibly embarrassed that Garett had examined my outfit so thoroughly as if he was doing a topsoil report on me.

"What is this?" Charlotte asked me.

"...Garett read your book that said he should be more open with his thoughts to his partner. The result is this," I answered to much of my embarrassment.

"Have some modesty in front of other people! Save that kind of invasive talk for when you two are alone. All you had to say was that she looked nice without the extra stuff! Do you intend to shame Arielle to death, you monster!" Charlotte scolded.

Garett flinched when Charlotte raised her voice at him.

"...I'm sorry," Garett apologized.

"Arielle, don't let him string you around too much!" Charlotte said as she turned towards me.

"Yes!" I responded.

I feel as though Charlotte had upgraded from our love counselor to our drill sergeant...

"I think it would look more nicer if there was sash necktie around your neck," Grace said as she tied a frilly white sash around my neck.

"Thank you, Grace. I think it looks nicer this way too," I said.

"I am glad that I got to see your hunting outfit firsthand. I cannot wait to see it again the next time I see you," Garett said.

"Again?" I asked with a perplexed expression.

"I will be joining the hunting competition as well," Garett said.

"Pardon?"

"I will be joining the hunting competition only as a formality since I do not need to build a reputation through my accomplishments in hunting. I plan to show my face and sit back while everyone else goes and actively hunts," Garett said.

"There will still be beasts roaming about. Will you be able to protect yourself with you being the intellectual type that you are? How is your aim?" I asked.

Garett took a step towards me and leaned down with his face close to my ears.

"...You will have to find out eventually," Garett whispered.

Garett took a step back and showed me a triumphant smile.

I stood there swimming in my own thoughts.

Did he have to whisper in my ears to say that?

I suddenly remembered back to Charlotte's recent advice to which she said that such invasive talks should be just be private conversations between us two...

I blushed terribly when I realized the strong innuendo behind his words.

"You obviously can't!" I said with strong refutation as I ran off to get changed.

I crouched down in my dressing room and covered my face with my hands.

While I was not looking, when did he turn from a boy to a man who could make such dirty remarks!

How could he tease me like that!

Where is the cute modest boy I used to know?
