My love never ends novel Chapter 126

A cold light flashed through Jerome's eyes. Herman's future was doomed.

Even if he escaped the police's chase and the accusations from the outside, he still couldn't escape the end he deserved. It was all his fault for being influenced by interests. Cooperating with Jerome was like asking for trouble.

He would burn the bridge after crossing it and clear up the useless things immediately. This was his usual style of doing things.

"Now the company is gone. Don't try to pass the buck. If you don't care about us, we can't promise what we may do to the Cheng Family." A thin middle-aged man said calmly.

Although he said so, he was expressionless, as if he didn't care about the closing of the company at all.

"How can there be an egg under the slant nest. No one can be truly innocent. If the Cheng Family doesn't help us..."

Another fat man said. He paused and then said, "let's meet again in the prison."

Among the four people, only one of them remained silent could feel a sense of defeat from him.

The closing of the company gave him a great blow. He looked sad and depressed.

"You!" Jerome looked angry, but when he thought that they knew some secrets of him, he tried his best to hold back his anger and said kindly, "don't worry. The Cheng Family won't give up on you. We will compensate for your loss."

He kept making promises to these people, temporarily letting them stay in the Cheng Family to avoid divulgence.

In order to get through the recent pursuit and strict investigation, the Cheng Family had to be silent for a period of time to avoid getting into trouble.

And Jerome began to deal with these company leaders secretly.

At this time, Kevin's company was busy.

As the clarification and data were released on the Internet, they attracted the attention of the media again. Many reporters gathered downstairs of the company, asking to see him and give him an exclusive interview.

On the top floor of the company, Kevin didn't notice the development of the situation. He was still thinking about all the details of the previous things.

Baron knocked on the door gently and pushed it in.

He carefully swaddled a baby.

Kevin came to his senses in an instant. His body was stiff and his eyes were fixed on the little quilt.

Baron knew that he couldn't wait any longer. He walked up quickly and put the child in front of Kevin.

The man reached out his hand, wanting to touch the child, but he was a little hesitant and he didn't know where to place his hand.

"Hold the baby horizontally and let him lie on your arms." Baron said softly, as if he was afraid of disturbing the baby in his arms.

Kevin nodded and took the child carefully.

He was stiff and didn't dare to move his arms. Although he didn't touch the baby directly, he could inexplicably feel the soft touch of the baby.

"You can relax." Reminded by Baron.

Kevin raised his head and stared at him.

Baron immediately turned around and left the office obediently.

The man restrained his coldness and nervously looked at the child in his arms. He was asleep, motionless and obedient, only his body moving up and down slowly with his breath.

At the same time, Lily gradually woke up on the bed.

Looking at the spotless wall, a trace of confusion flashed through her eyes, but then she regained her consciousness. With difficulty, she turned her head and saw the empty ward. It was quiet around.

"Baby! Where is my baby?" Lily suddenly widened her eyes.

On the operating table, she only heard a cry from her baby and then lost consciousness... But she had never seen the little baby who was related to her by blood and flesh.

She shouted anxiously outside, but no one answered.

Noticing the call button on the bedside table, Lily wanted to press it, but she couldn't adjust her sleeping position.

She gritted her teeth, endured the great pain in her belly and pressed the button with difficulty.

All her strength seemed to be drained in an instant. She collapsed on the bed and waited anxiously for the nurse.

When the receptionist found the location of the bell, the nurse who was responsible to take care of Lily rushed to the ward.

She walked quickly to the bedside and turned off the button. "Miss Wen, what happened? Are you uncomfortable?" The nurse asked gently.

"Where is my baby? Where is the old lady who came with me?" She gritted her teeth, grabbed the nurse's sleeve and asked weakly.

"A baby? The old lady accompanied you to the hospital the whole night. When she saw the baby, she seemed to say..." The nurse held her head, lost in thought and tried to recall.

"Tell me? What did she say?" She stared at the nurse. The absence of the child made Lily particularly sensitive.

The nurse shook her head. Suddenly, she thought of something and said softly to her, "she seemed to say that she wanted to go home to get something. She will be back soon, but she has never come back."

She paused, thought for a moment, and then said, "don't worry. The baby is very healthy."

The nurse hesitated for a second and took a look at Lily. "By the way, she took the child away before she left."

"What?" The woman on the bed exclaimed.

She looked at the nurse with her bright eyes, as if trying to find something unusual.

"Generally speaking, the newborn baby can't be taken away. What's more, we haven't got the family's permission..." The nurse shook her head and continued, "but I don't know what happened. The hospital just agreed her to take the child away."

As she spoke, she gently put down the hand holding her sleeve and began to make the bed for her.

After hearing the nurse say that the child was fine, Lily felt relieved, but she was even more uneasy in her heart.

Why did the old lady take the child away?

According to the nurse, the baby was just born and was very weak. It was obviously unrealistic to take him away at this time!

Trying her best to suppress her uneasiness, Lily stayed quietly in the hospital to take care of herself, waiting for the old lady to come back.

Three days later, no one accompanied her, which made the woman on the bed very anxious. "It has been three days, but she still hasn't come back. Where on earth has the old lady gone?"

She began to think nonsense.

After giving birth, Lily was in a trance and anxious state.

"My baby?" Only then did she realize that her child hadn't come back yet. She hurriedly climbed to the bedside and pressed the call button hard.

Soon, the nurse rushed over with an anxious look on her face. She quickly walked to the bedside. Before she could ask, her arm was tightly grabbed by Lily.

"Nurse! Where is my baby?" She asked excitedly, her arms trembling violently and her eyes red.
