Mysterious Mr.Richard novel Chapter 9

"Check Bed 9 from time to time tonight."

Pearl just finished her usual check on a patient with a group of interns. In the corridor,  she was skimming through the medical records and checked the interns' works.

"Dr. Yonng, in fact the patient on Bed 8 has ruptured ectopic pregnancy. But why did you tell her family that she had appendicitis?" An intern asked.

Pearl tapped on the medical record and pointed the word 'unmarried'. Before she saw more, she spotted two familiar figures. She tensed instantly.

Richard was no longer wearing the hospital gown. He dressed casually But the chilly aura was still around him. His eyes were dark while his lips were pale. He wore a pure white shirt as well as an emotionless look.

Adriana was holding his arms.

"It's Mr. Zellweger and his fiancee. They look so good together."

One of the interns spoke. Pearl was pained when she heard that.

When she was with Richard before, few knew about their relationship. And Adriana was one of them.

"Pearl, Richard and you are such a perfect match. I'm so jealous of you!" Her best friend, Adriana, once said.

It felt so ironic and absurd to see the couple in front of her.

"Dr. Yonng." One of the interns' call made Pearl snap back to her senses.

"Yeah." Pearl averted the two and continued her words, "Pay attention to the patient on Bed 8. She has shown some signs of depression. Get she a counselor. More importantly, don't forget to keep her pregnancy a secret form her family for the time being."

"Yes, Dr. Yonng."

Meanwhile, Richard and Adriana had stopped in front of Pearl.
