Nobilis of War novel Chapter 1126

At the moment, Finley and the others could clearly feel the increase of stability within the forbidden areas.

"Wow, what a tough space! I'm worried that even I can't break it." Barnes began to get curious about it.

"This should be done by the ancestor of Lothlann Continent, in order to prevent the world from being shattered," explained the witcher ancestor.

"So, that means battle for the World Essence is really about to start!"

"That is correct." The witcher ancestor nodded.

With the upgrade of the space of the forbidden areas came the simultaneous rumble of the five palaces.

Whoosh!

The fiend aura in the western palace emerged in a burst of power, and a fiend of more than ten thousand feet in stature appeared in midair. It was truly the first fiend ancestor to be released from imprisonment.

To the east, the Shura stood domineering in mid-air as the entire sky turned blood red.

As the immortal's energy surged, a breathtakingly beautiful woman flew out of the palace in the south. The immortal had been freed from her imprisonment.

There were a total of five destroyers who had been imprisoned. The mysterious man and the fifth destroyer had yet to make an appearance.

Currently, there were three destroyers who were released and they all turned their eyes to the World Essence.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The first fiend ancestor and the Shura firstly flew to the World Essence. The immortal, with her icy beauty, stood motionless in the air.

Two powerful figures quickly approached the World Essence and began to duel for it.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While the two of them fought, the sky turned a dark red color due to the clash of the fiendish aura and the Shura Force.

"Old man, do you want me to join the fight?"

Barnes' eyes were bursting with fighting spirit.

"No, you must wait."

"Wait for what?"

"The right time for you to enter the battle would be when someone manages to touch the World Essence."

"Okay." Barnes nodded and continued to gaze at the sky.

The fight between the first fiend ancestor and the Shura was a close one. Their fierce strength was truly on par with one another.

Whoosh!

The immortal's figure began to shift now. Leaving a trail of brilliant green light behind herself, she rushed straight into the battlefield.

Splash!

Beaming streams of law force flashed one after another across the sky. The powerful aura in the air was enough to make any creature surrender.

"Argh!"

The first fiend ancestor and the Shura ripped terrifying roars in unison. Feeling the powerful law force, they suddenly attacked the immortal together.

The attacks of the first fiend ancestor and the Shura surged at the immortal at the same time.

In response, she gave a quiet look of confidence. After the immortal had passed her tribulation, her strength had greatly increased—wildly higher than that of the first fiend ancestor and the Shura. The two of them found it impossible to break through the law force of the immortal.

"Interesting."

A ball of faint yellow light suddenly flew out from the palace in the north.

The powerful mysterious man showed up!

"Oh my God! It's him! He's here! Damn it!" Finley started to fret with worry.

Strangely, the mysterious man didn't make a move. It seemed he was quietly observing what was going on.

After a while, the mysterious man then flew towards the Sacred Palace.

"Witcher ancestor, who do you think will win?" the mysterious man asked with a spark of interest, as he descended directly next to the witcher ancestor.

"I don't know who's going to win here, but I'm quite curious as to why you didn't make a move," the witcher ancestor said bitterly.

The mysterious man replied with a chuckle. He then laughed and said, "You, out of everyone here, should know the existence of the Balance Law. If I fight for the World Essence, I'll be suppressed by the Balance Law, right?"

The mysterious man was right. In the battle for the World Essence, if one's strength was one realm higher than the others, the person would be suppressed by the Balance Law of the world. In this case, it wasn't advantageous as it was.

Actually, the witcher ancestor didn't know about this at all, but after the mysterious man told him, he immediately understood.

"I see. You're waiting for the very last moment. Once one of them successfully takes the World Essence, you'll immediately kill them. Thus, you'll avoid the Balance Law from being activated, right?" asked the witcher ancestor.

"You are correct." The mysterious man thought for a moment and then said, "My goal is not merely seizing the World Essence, but also to ultimately end Darren. Before it is time to kill him, I won't bother to fight for the World Essence."

"What? Why do you have to kill Darren? You're not even from the same age as him. How could you two possibly hold any vendettas with one another?" The witcher ancestor furrowed his brows in confusion.

"Why must there be any reason? Perhaps, it's just fate. We can't just go against the fate, can we?" The mysterious man sneered.

After a deep sigh, the witcher ancestor stayed silent, not wanting to say anything more.

Barnes, who had been quietly standing beside them, commented with cold spite, "You are so arrogant."

"So what? Do you think you can fight with me after you just went through the incomplete ninth tribulation, little monkey?" The mysterious man showed zero respect for Barnes.

"Oh, maybe I should give you a little show of my strength!" Barnes' violent dark aura burst from around him in rage.

"Don't worry. You'll have your turn. The strength of a nine-tribulation holy warrior is really nothing to be proud of. Those who passed the tenth tribulation are the truly powerful ones. Take me, for example," the mysterious man calmly said.

"What?!"

Hearing this, Barnes, Finley and the witcher ancestor all looked at the mysterious figure at the same time in shock.

"Tenth tribulation?!" Barnes couldn't help but stagger backwards.

"You all just wait and see." After the mysterious man finished speaking, his figure flashed and flew into the air to continue observing the battle of the three destroyers.

"You'd better just give up. I'm right here with you, and I won't let you take away the World Essence," echoed a light voice in the immortal's mind.

"Shut up!" The immortal roared, "If you bother me again, I'll destroy you."

"Humph! You can't do that! We are equals! You can't destroy me!" Elsa was not afraid of her empty threat at all.

"It's really quite a shame for me to have a soul as stupid as you here with me," the immortal snapped back.

"Cursing me is useless. You still won't get it."

When the immortal attacked, Elsa forcibly controlled her body in order to hold her back. Otherwise, the immortal would have gained the upper hand by now.

"If I let those two creatures take the World Essence away, the Lothlann Continent will perish. Now, if it falls into my hands, I can at least wait for Darren's return and seek his opinion on the right decision," the immortal said.

"That's just rubbish. Why would you wait for Darren? What do you care?" Elsa didn't believe it at all.

"Don't forget that I have already inherited your memories and your emotions now."

Elsa was surprised to hear this. She exclaimed, "Oh, then that means you also love Darren?"

"Of course," the immortal coldly shot back.

"No, you can't! I love him. You're not allowed to love him too." Elsa snorted.

"Well, that's not up to me, but if you die, at least your lovey-dovey emotions will disappear from my soul with you."

"You!" Elsa was rendered speechless with anger and frustration.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

While the immortal was talking to Elsa, an extremely powerful force suddenly burst out from the fifth palace.

The domineering force flew towards the battling figures in the sky with great momentum. The aura was even more powerful than that of the immortal at her peak state!

"What?"

The mysterious man raised his brows at the sight; even he was amazed by this power.

And at this moment, the one who was the most surprised was the witcher ancestor.

"It's him! How could this be? How could it be him?" The witcher ancestor's hands trembled. He couldn't believe who'd just appeared in their midst.
