As soon as Janet hears it, her expression turns sullen, and stares at May, “Where did they come from?”

On the other end, Edward is driving and brings Alice quickly to where Rupert lives.

He presses the bell and before long, Rupert opens the door and is stunned to see Alice. “You… “ had been released?
