“Blanca? We’re talking here.”

Seeing that Blanca was quiet and didn’t respond, Louise felt even happier. Blanca must be upset about her words and that was exactly what Louise wanted.

Alan was watching and frowning. But since the Harris family was here, he didn’t say anything.

And then Mrs. Harris said, “Blanca, you are Matthew’s wife and should call us uncle and auntie like he does. These are the gifts Elizabeth brought from abroad. You can put them away now.”

“Um...”

Louise wanted to say that they had servants to do things like this. But then Elizabeth gave her a look and she understood what they were doing.

They came here only to give her a hard time!

Elizabeth had been loving Matthew ever since she was a little girl. And now he married Blanca, which made her the enemy of Elizabeth.

“Yes.”

Blanca looked up and smiled, “Uncle, auntie, if you’d like to have something to eat then please go to the dining room. You can leave your presents here.”

“What...”

Before Elizabeth even finished her sentence, Blanca glared at her and said calmly, “I think as a Mrs. Grant, I have every right to decide if I can put some stuff in the living room.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” yelled Elizabeth.

Just before she was about to have a tantrum, she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around and saw Matthew walking down the stairs. He looked quite stunning in her eyes.

Elizabeth was so happy to see him that she threw herself at him, “Matthew, what did Uncle Wilbert ask you for? I brought him something...”

“Put your hands off me.”

Matthew looked at her hand which was holding tight on his arm.

Elizabeth’s face went pale.

Hearing Matthew’s words, Mrs. Harris was astonished for a moment and quickly went back to normal. She said to Mr. Grant, “We’ve really failed as parents. When they were little, Elizabeth and Matthew were so close and now they drifted apart like that...Matthew is a married man now and Elizabeth is still single. This silly girl has been...eager to spend time with Matthew, please don’t mind, Blanca.”

Mrs. Harris seemed to be quite pitiful at the beginning as if it was such a bummer that Matthew and Blanca got married. Hearing her last sentence, Blanca’s eyes were wide open.

Did they come all the way here to gloat?

She was mad but still smiling on the outside. She tried very hard not to pinch Matthew for that.
