Matthew behaved quite calmly.

But Blanca still had some doubts. She faked a smile and said, “Is it something about the company?”

Matthew walked towards her. He seemed quite condescending and Blanca couldn’t tell how he was feeling.

“I don’t need to report anything to you.”

His word petrified her.

She was just holding his arm and hand like they were a loving couple minutes ago.

And now he was being so cold to her.

“Blanca, come to lunch!”

Hearing Mr. Grant’s voice, she quickly calmed herself down and went over. At the table, she had been concentrating on eating and didn’t notice what was going on.

“Matthew, I heard that the Empire Group is doing quite well. You’ve also been working on the land in the south, right?”

“Yes.”

“Well...” Mr. Harris smiled with his canny eyes, “I heard that the land’s worth 200 million dollars. Is this price reasonable for Empire Group? What about sharing this land together? I’m recently interested in investing in real estate...”

What?

Blanca looked up curiously. Matthew didn’t even put down his fork and he seemed to be quite familiar about this situation.

200 million dollars...

How much money was that? Blanca swallowed and she didn’t notice she was about to drool.

“Eat!”

A chicken leg was thrown in her plate and she realized she was overreacting.

She lowered her head and focused on eating.

“Mr. Harris, Empire Group never cooperates with others in real estate.”

She peeped and saw Mr. Harris touch his nose out of embarrassment. Blanca thought to herself, “Your daughter is such a trouble maker. Why would Matthew cooperate with him?”

After all, she had seen how much Matthew hated Elizabeth.

Blanca’s mind was wandering for a while and then found that everyone seemed to finish their meals. She was the only one hadn’t done eating. So she started eating hastily and choked on something.

“Slow down.”

Blanca reached for the glass bottle and somebody passed it to her, “No need to rush.”

Blanca drank a lot of water and finally washed the food down her throat. She awkwardly looked at her bowl of food and didn’t want to waste any food. She couldn’t eat it all in such a short amount of time. So she looked at him for help but Matthew looked away.

Was he ignoring her?

She had just helped him get rid of Elizabeth and he didn’t even care about her. And then Matthew picked up his fork and started eating slowly.

Was he trying to make her less awkward by doing that?

Blanca didn’t know how to react at this moment.

Then Matthew said, “Uncle, auntie, thank you for coming. I will attend the dinner party.”

This was him saying that the Harris family should leave now.
