“I’m sorry, I’ll never do that again... I will never harass Blanca again.”

In the living room of the Grant mansion, Blanca was looking at her phone and laughing, lying on the couch. Matthew glanced at her and said coldly, “How many times have you watched it? Isn’t it enough for you?”

Two hours ago, Jim apologized to Blanca reluctantly. Who would know Blanca recorded this over her cell phone?

Thinking of this, Matthew couldn’t help smiling.

“No, I can watch this for a hundred times!” Blanca giggled and sat on the couch, she looked at Matthew and there was a sparkle in her eyes, “He looked so funny. What a sour puss! I can’t get enough of this.”

Now that she had this video, Jim wouldn’t dare to stand close to her.

“You’re the only one who dares to treat him like that,” said Matthew.

Blanca raised her eyebrows and whispered in his ears, “Is the Grant family a big shot in Oakshire? If I sell this video, I can make a lot of money, right?”

“Miser,” Matthew chuckled and rolled his eyes at Blanca, “why don’t you sell yourself?”

“I’ve already sold myself to you.”

Blanca watched the video all over again. After realizing what she had said, Blanca paused and knew what that sounded like.

She wanted to explain but then Matthew stood up and looked down at Blanca, “So you mean you’re sad because I haven’t given you any money after I married you?”

“I didn’t...mean that...”

“This card is for you, take it,” Matthew seemed to remember something and pulled out a credit card which was the one he gave her in the office but she didn’t take it.

After tossing the card on the desk, his phone rang. He didn’t even look at her and picked up the phone. Blanca stared at that card and felt terrible.

She laughed sarcastically at herself.

How could she forget?

All of this was a contract. She was a fraud and a thief. She was thrown into prison when she was just a kid. And Matthew was the chairman of Empire Group and the big shot in Oakshire. Everyone looked up to him.

How could she be so proud in front of him?

Why couldn’t he use money to deal with her?

Blanca wiped off her tears and her face felt numb. The video was still playing in loops and she couldn’t hear it anymore.

Blanca stepped on the floor with her bare feet. She lay on the bed but didn’t feel like sleeping. Her eyes were empty and she kept touching the jade necklace on her neck.

“Why did you give birth to me and then abandon me?”

Blanca gave a sneer. She had been unwanted ever since she was born. But people like Jim could be whatever they wanted. They could be jerks and bossy because his last name was Grant and his family got his back.
