Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 105

Mumbling to herself, Blanca drank a bit of chicken broth that Mrs. Johnson had prepared, her face scrunched up. Setting the bowl down, she pouted, “Is it fine now?”

“Fine, fine, you can drink some more tomorrow. You’ve got a cold, madam. Please be careful,” Mrs. Johnson cautioned.

Blanca nodded and nodded again. She wasn’t in the mood for breakfast. A while later, Matthew had come up, but didn’t leave. Seemed like he was waiting for her. Blanca scratched her head and sat on the chair, looking up at the man with his unusual presence. “Are we leaving separately today?”

“?”

“What I mean is, I’m going to work for the first day today. If everyone knew I was coming in the chairman’s car, wouldn’t that be bad?” Blanca didn’t have much experience with the rich, but she still had regular common sense.

Girls these days were all bored out of their minds and exchanged rumors like football tickets.

Well, with a stunning bombshell like herself… well, maybe not a complete bombshell, but still young and pretty. With a young and pretty girl like herself becoming Mrs. Grant, there would for sure be a multitude of people who wanted to see her embarrass herself.

How could she abuse her authority on the first day at work?

“You mean that I, while working at the same office as my wife, am supposed to go to work with her separately?”

“Well, that’s…”

Before Blanca could even begin to twist things around in a rebuttal, Matthew had already taken her collar and led her away!

Well, that was violent…

Matthew stuffed her in the car and shot her a mild look. “The driver’s off for the day. If you want to walk to the office, I don’t mind.”

“…” Fine, you win.

Blanca knew where she was. Even getting a taxi wasn’t so simple. So she zipped up her mouth and clasped her seatbelt on in silence.

At the office, they just so happened to run into Louise, who’d driven over in a luxury car. Matthew had business, so he took the executive elevator up, leaving Louise and Blanca there. Seeing Blanca, Louise walked over like a cat who’d spied a mouse, sneering, “Why isn’t Matthew with you, Blanca?”

“Why would he be with me?” Blanca cocked an eyebrow. “You seem interested in our love life, Louise? Could it be…”

“What?”

“Could it be that you like my husband?” Blanca implied. After all, who couldn’t like such an excellent specimen of a man as Matthew? She’d also noticed, in particular, that Louise wasn’t looking at Matthew the same way as a sister would at all. Mrs. Johnson had even told her the two weren’t siblings by blood.

“You!”

Louise pointed angrily at Blanca, who’d just scored a hit. Why was it that every time she wanted to get on Blanca’s nerves, she would get on her nerves instead?

“Friendly reminder. There’s three minutes left before work.” Blanca smiled faintly. The elevator just so happened to arrive. With a ding, she squeezed in first. But everyone at the side had already gone in first, and there was no room left!

Blanca watched on as Louise was stuck outside and showed a radiant, happy smile.

There were a lot of people in the elevator, but they all consciously made way for Blanca. She’d always come in a mask to take meals here before, and a few of them really had thought that she was just the delivery girl, until that time…

The chairman lost his temper for his woman!

Now they all knew. This madam chairman was not to be messed with!
