Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 170

Walking out of the conference room, Blanca felt anxious.

Why would she be feeling like this? It felt almost like something bad was going to happen... She calmed herself down - What was there to be anxious about? It was all going to work out fine. But somehow... Blanca reached to touch the pendant on her neck. She wasn’t sure when she would finally see her birth parents again, or if they were still alive.

“Blanca, come with me.”

Blanca heard Anna yelling her name before she stepped foot into the office, and that caught her by surprise. Isabel kept sending her signals, “Blanca, look out...”

Blanca followed Anna into the office anyway, without knowing a clue what was going on. But when she saw how angry Anna was, Blanca apologized first immediately, “I’m sorry, Anna. It was my fault this morning - I was stuck with the journalists, so I couldn’t report back to you. But I promise it won’t happen again.”

Blanca took the initiative to confess and ask for Anna’s lenience. And now she was waiting quietly after speaking to see what her punishment would be. Surprisingly, the next moment a document fell on her head fiercely!

“What was going on?”

Blanca was shocked. But she had learned about Anna’s personality in the past days - Even though Anna was rigid, she rarely got angry. Why was she so angry this time?

The paper pieces were scattered all over the place on the ground. Blanca quickly squatted down to pick up all the paper pieces, re-organized them, and handed them to Anna. No matter what the problem was, Blanca had known she shouldn’t talk back to her supervisor.

“Blanca, do you know that you’ve made a mistake?”

“I know, I am sorry.” Blanca kept her head down listening to Anna’s lecturing.

However, Blanca doing so didn’t help ease up Anna’s anger at all, “Go ahead and hand in your resignation. You do not belong here.”

“Resignation?” Anna was making an unnecessarily big deal out of it, wasn’t she?

Blanca was not happy at the time - She raised her head in astonishment, her eyes were full of unwillingness. She worked hard, so what was the reason for her to resign?

Was it because these people graduated from famous universities, so they looked down on her?

They weren’t born knowing things they did now. In what name would they turn away from her like this...

“Anna, I know it was my fault and I would make amends. But I don’t understand why I should resign.” Blanca was trying to stay calm. She cared about this job, so she had to please Anna.

“You have to go because of what you did,” Anna spoke abruptly. And a girl pushed the door open and got in when Blanca was about to argue back. The girl bumped into Blanca directly, and she almost knocked her down!

Blanca firmly held the wall so she didn’t fall. But she looked at the girl in front of her, only to realize that the girl's eyes were red. She seemed like she had cried. And she looked familiar...

“Blanca, why are you so vicious? I just mocked you with a few words. If you feel uncomfortable, I can apologize to you, but you don't need to retaliate against me like this. Do you know that because of you, not only do I lose my job, but I also have to bear legal responsibility? You want me to die...”

The girl said this while she was sopping, and in the meantime, she wanted to hit Blanca - Blanca’s eyebrows frowned tightly.

What was going on?

But then she remembered that this girl was the one who scolded herself in the pantry. Blanca was splashed with coffee on her face. Blanca thought that was water under the bridge, wasn’t it?

Anna witnessed all of these. She rubbed her aching head, “Blanca, Zoe has never shown her design to anyone, but she did ask you to print it out. So we are suspicious that it was you who leaked it out.”
