Half an hour later, Emma appeared at the Bateson Group. There was no other reason than the investor was the king. She pressed the elevator button to go upstairs. She could be considered familiar with this place because she often came to deliver lunch to Trevor in the past.

Not long after their wedding, she went through the horrifying experience of sending Trevor to the hospital in the middle of the night because his stomach issues had flared up suddenly. After that incident, she began helping him to take care of his body to the best of her abilities. She would personally cook three meals a day for him according to the recipes given by the dietician, and she never missed a single meal.

Standing outside Trevor’s office, Emma took a deep breath before she knocked on

Trevor was sitting at his desk. When she caught sight of him, she almost-collapsed because he was wearing a light gray shirt with a black tie around his neck. Unknowingly, they had dressed in the same colors like a couple would.

Before leaving the house earlier, she had deliberately changed into a formal attire which included a light gray linen suit paired with a black suspender under her top. She even went so far as to put on a light touch of makeup. Since they were discussing

She secretly gritted her teeth. She could tell that he was making fun of their goddamned couple outfits. However, she could only ignore his jest and politely greeted him. “Mr. Bateson.”

He retracted his gaze that was fixed on her face and motioned toward the long table beside her. “Have a seat.”

She calmly walked over and took a seat, after which she took out her laptop from her bag and began setting up.

Meanwhile, Trevor stood up and brought over two cups of coffee. After thanking him, Emma raised her hand to take the cup of coffee from him. She did not know what was wrong with him, but the cup in his hand suddenly slipped from his grasp and some of the coffee was accidentally spilled on her bosom just like that.

Letting out a startled cry, she hurriedly stood up. Do I have some sort of grudge against the siblings?! Just a few days ago, Arianna splashed me with coffee. And now,

Trevor has spilled coffee on me.

“I’m sorry.” He never expected the coffee to spill on her. After apologizing, he quickly placed aside the cups of coffee in his hands and grabbed some tissues from the side to help her clean the spill. Her face immediately went crimson because his hand was touching her bosom.

When Trevor saw the red blush spreading to the tips of Emma’s ears, he humorously asked, “Why are you blushing so hard? It’s not like I’ve never seen them before.”

His response left her feeling speechless.

Then, Trevor handed the tissue to Emma and was about to withdraw his hand when the office door was slammed open with a resounding crash and Crystal rushed into the room.

Crystal had followed Trevor by car and was relieved to see him returning to the company. If he abandoned her because he really had work to do, then she would not feel so bad. Who could have known that she would see Emma coming out of a cab as soon as she drove her car out of the underground parking garage?

She couldn’t care to maintain her image in front of Trevor anymore. After parking her car, she quickly followed after Emma.

“What are you doing?!” From her point of view, he seemed to be reaching out to remove Emma’s jacket.

Thus, Crystal immediately went crazy. Raising her singer, she pointed at Emma and began screaming. “Emma, how low can you get?! You used such underhanded methods to climb into Trevor’s bed four years ago, and now you’re shamelessly trying to seduce him again! Who do you think you are?!”

Nevertheless, her anger did not subside even after all those yelling. Running over in her high-heels, she raised her hand and slapped Emma in the face.
