Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 36

Because Antonio did not come back for the whole night, Clarissa wanted to give him a call, but then she thought he had been busy in the company these days. Someone in the morning also said that the Barons’ stock fell. A stockholder cast his son's medical money, wishing to earn more money for a surgery. However, he did not expect the money to disappear all of a sudden.

In desperation, he chose to go to the Baron's company and staged a thrilling jumping incident. Although the Barons' public relations did a good job and had no media revealing the thing, there were quite a few onlookers at the scene. With certain people deliberately spreading the story, the news soon went viral in the whole business community.

After hearing those part-time workers gossiping about these things, Clarissa immediately dismissed the idea of calling Antonio.

He just experienced a stock drop, so he would not be in a good mood for sure. She was not that stupid to choose the wrong time to call.

Therefore, she cheerfully had the part-time worker wash some grapes, and then snacked comfortably while watching TV and browsing her phone.

Out of blue, the villa's doorbell rang, Clarissa subconsciously frowned and said to the worker without even looking at her face,

"Hey, that whoever, open the door."

The part-time worker had seen all kinds of high-class people in their homes. Some removed the gentle and elegant disguises, bossing around these workers, but some also reamined polite when giving orders out of their noble temperaments.

Some despised people, while others respected people. She got used to it after a while.

She dropped the broom in her hand, nodded and trotted to the door.

Outside the door, Channing was in a new designer’s suit. His hair was tightly combed back in the head as if it were about to rise to the sky, and the hair gel solidified on the ends, looking very energetic.

"Come in!"

Part-time workers worked much more diligently as they got paid nearly as much as a babysitter.

Two men with dark sunglasses and black suits behind Channing carried him in.

"Hey. Channing is here."

Clarissa’s tone was like one of those "poor" girls standing under the streetlights in dark alleys.

She looked at Channing with a seeming smile. She was a little surprised but also a little disdainful of his presence at the same time.

But Channing snorted, casually removed his sunglasses and tossed them to the bodyguards behind him.

"What’s wrong? Can you find any new changes on me?"

Talking about new changes on him, Clarissa carefully took a look at him to find nothing new besides two more bodyguards, a nice hairstyle and a more formal outfit. After thinking for a while, Clarissa finally burst a few words out with an enlightened look,

"An extra wheelchair."

If people did not look closely, nobody would know that he was in a wheelchair, He was not tall from in the first place, so sitting in the wheelchair really made no difference from him standing on his legs. Even such a sharp-eyed person as her had to stare for a long time to find out that he was sitting in a wheelchair.

His leg was crippled, not broken!

Though Antonio ragingly had people break his legs that day, he was lucky to only lose one leg. He could still walk perfectly fine by himself.

“Bitch, I'm telling you, I've got plenty of money. Not even to say you giving those documents to the boss of the company, even the police can't do anything about me." He said.

People like him were really not fit to open their mouths. Even just for the same thing, Clarissa would rather take more efforts to revenge that person than to curse.

Unless, of course, those cursing words could really poke at their weaknesses.
