Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 50

Antonio was busy in those days, so he forgot about Adelaide!

He was conflicted in his heart. He wanted to believe in Adelaide, but he was unable to forget the fact that his brother died. He trapped himself in the company. When he thought it through, Jerry had already gone abroad.

It happened yesterday when Adelaide eavesdropped on Antonio's phone call.

Jerry instructed himself to take care of Adelaide and Hanna, told him to go home more often to accompany Adelaide. If there were misunderstandings, they could talk about it. Jerry even told him not to get Adelaide in the business between the Swift family and the Baron family, it was not fair to her!

Adelaide was a gentle and kind woman, but not a deep-hearted spy, so that Antonio should not subjectively misunderstand Adelaide.

He decided to reacquaint his wife without prejudice after listening to Jerry's words! But he didn't expect that Adelaide would overhear these words.

Antonio was in a soothing mood after talking with his friend. He did push himself and Adelaide too hard. Unexpectedly, Clarissa called him at this time, saying that she was not feeling well, and asked him to see her. He thought about the child in her belly and finally agreed.

Unexpectedly, he passed by Adelaide's room and was stopped.

She knew that Clarissa was sick. If she forced him to stay with her, it would made Antonio feel she was tough. Seeing her in tears, he promised her to come back to stay with her.

Clarissa was stomachache. He accompanied her for a day, and when he came home, Adelaide had fallen asleep. Antonio wanted to take her out to play.

In the morning he asked Koby find a place. When he was ready to be a good husband and father, she let him down again.

He was done with his brother's affairs, and he didn't want to involve her in the business, but with what she said today, he really couldn't believe she was a simple woman!

Antonio took a complicated look at Adelaide. She was not crying. He frowned, started the car slowly and continued to drive towards the village.

Adelaide was complex in heart. She wanted to explain, but she was not allowed to mention it again.

The two arrived at the village in silence!

The name of this village was no longer known. When tourism was on the rise, a person found that their place was perfect for growing phalaenopsis orchids, and the land of every family in the village was replaced with phalaenopsis orchids, so the hills were full of phalaenopsis orchids.

Adelaide lowered her head and followed him remorsefully. If she hadn't said anything about the Swift family, they would be happily enjoying the flowers right now.

Adelaide wanted to talk to Antonio, but the man did not talk.

She pulled the man's sleeve, “Antonio, are you hungry? Let’s get some food first!” In fact, she was not hungry.

Antonio looked at her, and then continued to walk forward.

Adelaide was not discouraged, secretly cheering herself up. She trotted to him, looking aggressively at his handsome face, “Antonio, I know I'm wrong, don't ignore me.”

Antonio was not ignoring her. He just did not know how to face her.

He did not know what her real face, especially after learning that she eavesdropped on his phone. Antonio had a strong feeling that the death of his elder brother must be related to her, even if she was not the murder!

So, he was confused. He did not know how to face his wife and if he could trust her.

Antonio turned to look at her. She still had that pitiful look with eyes in her eyes. He took her hand, “Don’t cry.”

Adelaide sucked her nose, she felt even more aggrieved, “Originally I had already made up my mind that I won’t like you, won’t care about you, won’t miss you, but why do you still come to me?”

The more she thought about it, the more upset she felt. She held back her tears and looked into Antonio's eyes, “If you don't love me, go away!”

Love or not?

Antonio continued walking. He handed the ticket to the ticket inspector and walked alone.

“Antonio, wait for me!”

Adelaide gave the man her ticket and jogged to catch up with Antonio. The two were speechless. Although he did not answer, his steps slowed down. Adelaide followed him, looking at his back.

They were out to enjoy the flowers, but both of them were not in mood now.

The people around took selfies with laughter.

While they did not say anything.

Antonio smiled bitterly. She said he should go away if he did not love her. Why he did not know if he loved her or not, why should he do?
