Her reminder soothed Clarissa, and she boasted, “Just so you know that, sooner or later, Antonio belongs with me.”

Koby noticed her expression and smiled. “Are you wondering if I have the recording?”

Her eyes widened and she rubbed her forehead to cover her embarrassment. Clarissa and her mother were too guilty to see him through, but she’s sane enough to be aware of his lie.

Koby bit his lips and whispered into her ear, “No recording.”

Adelaide was surprised to find that as honest as Koby was, he could tell a lie.

He flashed a sly smile and rubbed his nose. “Mrs. Baron, if you get bullied by them again, threaten them that you’ve copied the recording.”

Adelaide was moved as she found that Koby lied for her. She nodded and gave the apple to Koby to show her gratitude.

Koby blushed bashfully as he had never received an apple from a girl.

“Bitch! Bitch! Shit!”

Flora got hurt as she saw her daughter insanely make a mess in the ward. Never had she imagined that Koby would be there.

Pillows, covers, and sheets were throwed onto the ground by Clarissa. “The son of a bitch! How dare he to ruin my plan twice in a day!”

Seeing she stop throwing things onto the ground, Flora quickly walked right up to her and asked humbly, “Well…my sweetheart, should I find someone to beat him up again?”

Clarissa shook her head as she didn’t agree. Koby was very much cunning, and she won’t end up in a happy ending if Koby showed Antonio the recording.

She was aware of the seriousness of it, especially for a man as overbearing and presumptuous as Antonio was. If he realized he had been fooled by her, in now way she would marry him.

Deliberating for a while, she made up her mind to kill him. She’d always live in terror as long as he lived in the world.

Also, she hated being threatened by others.

Flora hastily rejected her plan as it’s illegal to kill people deliberately. If Koby got beaten up, they’d just cover his medical bills in that money was no object for the Swift family. However, she and her daughter would be put into jail if they were involved in a murder.

Clarissa swore to her mother that if she got caught, never would she turn her mother in. As moved as Flora felt, she gently reprimanded that Clarissa was too stupid, and promised that she’d be willing to be the scapegoat as Clarissa was too young to be trapped in the prison.

Clarissa was very much touched and cried in her mother’s hug. She also added that at that time she’d get her mother out of the prison at all costs.

Then they started to carry out the plan. Clarissa hired a professional killer who was kind of famous in the mafia world, and she ordered him to kill Koby without any traces.

As soon as the killer got the money, he took another killer with him. They stalked Koby and killed him secretly.

As the night fell, Koby went home from work. On the way back home, he bought a dress for his niece. He was so poor that he bought his house in the suburbs.

He was about to turn on the light of his phone when his mouth was suddenly covered by someone’s hand from behind.

Although Koby tried to twist himself off the control, but he failed to fight against two professional killers, and he was dragged into the woods nearby.

“Who are you?” Koby asked before his death.

“You’ve pissed off people you shouldn’t have pissed off.”

Before Koby could see the killers’ faces, he was killed. After a moment, he closed his eyes with confusion and anger.

The killers quickly disappeared after they made sure Koby was dead.
