Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 67

Seeing Adelaide walking towards Antonio weakly, Clarissa knew that the former was a softhearted woman. She didn't talk with Antonio and left in a hurry.

After they came back home in the evening, Adelaide had a high fever. And the doctor said that she couldn't take medicine because she was pregnant, so he helped her put a fever-cooling paste on her forehead.

After Koby died, Antonio realized that lives were vulnerable. In the morning, he had seen Adelaide talk with Clarissa, and then Adelaide became anxious.

It was rainy at that time. He had just thought that Adelaide was sad because of Koby's death, so he didn't pay much attention to it.

Adelaide didn't eat dinner. When Antonio went upstairs and came back to the bedroom, he found that she had a high fever.

After the doctor left, he held her hands and sat down by the bed, and then he begged her to wake up quickly. However, what had happened was totally a nightmare for her.

She felt uncomfortable, so she went to bed after they came back home. However, as soon as she fell asleep, she saw Koby in her dream. She could see that the long stab wound on his neck was still bleeding; his hands stretched out to her. She felt a bit scared, so she turned back and wanted to run away. However, she couldn't run fast. After a while, Koby caught up with her quickly.

When he got close to her, she heard that he was asking in whispers for help, "Help! Help! Help!"

Adelaide felt scared. She covered her ears with her hands and then ran forward frantically, but she felt her feet were too heavy to move.

She heard that Koby was keeping asking for help, and she could even smell the blood flowing from his body along the way. She tried her best to shout loudly, but she couldn't make it.

She felt more anxious and scared when she finally found that she couldn't cry out or run away fast.

Koby's voice had been lingering around her! She closed her eyes subconsciously, but there was still a strong smell of blood.

"No! Koby! No!"

She screamed and suddenly sat up from the bed.

Antonio held her in his arms quickly and touched her forehead with one hand. There was sweat on her forehead, but she didn't have a high fever anymore. So he was relieved.

Adelaide hugged his waist tightly with her arms. She seemed to have not woken up from the nightmare and kept breathing heavily. Antonio finally realized that there was something wrong with her, so he asked, "What's the matter, Adelaide? I heard you call Koby just now."

Adelaide took a deep breath and nodded, and then she told him that she had had a nightmare just now.

Antonio listened to her patiently and then patted her back gently to comfort her. Adelaide felt better. But when she closed her eyes, she would see Koby again.

"Don't be scared. You attended the funeral of Koby this morning, and you have a fever because you haven't taken a good rest for a few days, so you had a nightmare. " He helped her wipe her sweat with his sleeve.

Seeing that she was still scared and anxious, he suddenly held her chin gently with his hand.

And then he got close to her face slowly with a smile. Adelaide felt nervous and then leaned against the headboard of the bed because he kept getting close to her.

"How can you think about another man at night? I have to punish you."

And then he kissed her lips. She felt surprised because she didn't expect that he would kiss her at this time.

Antonio held the back of her head and looked at her, as if he was warning, "How can you not concentrate when you kiss me?"

He kissed her affectionately, and she closed her eyes to enjoy his kiss. And she didn't think about Koby anymore.

She draped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him.

And then Antonio touched her down to her upper body gently with his hands. She suddenly felt shocked and opened her eyes and then stopped him.

He chuckled, as if he felt it funny. But he seldom laughed like this. He said, "Well, you should take a good rest. Don't worry. I will be here with you."

Adelaide felt moved. She nodded to him, and Antonio asked her to lie down on the bed. She wore a big smile and then went to bed.

The next day, she woke up and didn't see Antonio. But she felt shy when she thought about the kiss last night.

Hanna came to her house to visit her early in the morning. They agreed to meet with each other in the hospital a few days ago. However, when she finished her work and came back to the hospital, she found that Adelaide was not in the hospital, and a nurse told her that she had left.

She had to come back home and kept calling her. However, Adelaide didn't answer the phone. And then she went to the Baron family, but Adelaide wasn't in the Baron family, and she had to come back home again. The next day, she went to the Baron family again. However, Damla said that Adelaide had gone out.

Therefore, Hanna worried about her so much because she knew that Adelaide left shoulder was injured, and she had to see her and check whether she was fine.

Finally, she heard that Koby had died. She saw Koby when she met with Adelaide for the first time after she came back from abroad. At that time, she was angry after she knew that Adelaide was sad because of Antonio. And then she wanted to argue with Antonio, but she was stopped by Koby, so she gave him a smack.

Hanna held Adelaide in her arms, and Adelaide cried in her arms. She told Hanna what happened, and Hanna finally got it.

Hanna wanted to see Clarissa and asked her why she did it, but Adelaide stopped her from doing so.

At present, she just suspected Clarissa without any evidence. If they told the police about it, Clarissa might hurt Koby's family. As Clarissa had killed Koby, so she had to protect Koby's family.

Adelaide talked with Hanna and decided to find out the evidence by themselves. At this time, Antonio came back.

He went straight to the study room. After a while, the doorbell rang. Hanna and Adelaide looked at each other and wondered who it was. Damla opened the door, and then a group of people in policeman uniform walked into the house.

They said that they wanted to talk to Antonio. Damla looked at Adelaide, and they didn't know what to do. At this time, Antonio said to them loudly upstairs, "I don't know anything. You should find out the evidence by yourself."

Antonio really felt angry, because the policemen didn't try their best to find out the evidence, but asked him for evidence. That was ridiculous.

"Mr. Antonio, as far as we know, both suspects live in other villas of the Baron family. So I hope you can tell us the addresses."

Adelaide was shocked when she heard that, as she was afraid that Clarissa would do something to hurt Koby's family if the policemen found out the evidence and tried to arrest her.

She dared not to think about it.

Antonio had told the police that Koby was trying to help him when something happened to the company, and then he was killed. However, they didn't pay attention to it but kept focusing on the wound on Koby's head. ‘Stupid cops!' Antonio thought.
