Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 79

"Or, just let me check her!"

Cody said again. Adelaide’s blood shed more and more. Her gray maternity pants were dyed red by blood. Her face was pale with sweat continuously on her forehead.

"No! Uncle, this bitch is the best at acting!"

Clarissa spit at Adelaide. Seeing Adelaide’s face distorting by pain, she was extremely excited.

Hearing this, Flora nodded, "Cody, you’re so coward. I had a child, so I know it. Besides, I didn't kick her hard."

Adelaide's face was ghastly pale. Flora glanced at her, and snorted disdainfully, "Bitch, stop pretending."

"Yeah, even if the God comes this time, you can’t be saved!" All Clarissa’s depression were gone. She seemed to see Antonio waving at her. After this bitch lost this baby, Antonio wouldn’t care about her anymore.

When Clarissa used all strength to hit Adelaide’s belly a moment ago, Adelaide knew Clarissa’s hatred to her. Now, Adelaide only hoped that Clarissa could let her go. She was willing to donate blood no matter how much Clarissa wanted.

“Please save my child.” Adelaide cried out silently. She did not stop shaking her head. She hoped that those people would understand what she meant. Just help her and save her child.

It was so hurt that Adelaide almost lost her mind. But in Clarissa's eyes, this scene was the most beautiful notes and movements. Seeing Adelaide struggling and begging to her, she was ecstatically happy.

"Keep on shouting. Adelaide, the more you struggle, the more painful you are, the happier I will be."

After saying that, Clarissa laughed out to prove that she was really happy.

Cody was a doctor. He couldn't persuade the two of them and didn't want to see Adelaide being tortured anymore. He turned his back to them.

The feeling of pain in the abdomen became stronger and stronger. Adelaide knew that this was the pain which her baby was separating from her. She silently yelled, “Please, baby, don't, don't leave mother!”

Antonio, help me!

Antonio, save me!

Antonio...

Adelaide was bleeding more and more. Standing aside, Clarissa and Flora looked more and more excited, especially Clarissa's eyes lit up, as if she was appreciating the most beautiful scene in the world. She almost clapped her hands to cheer.

Antonio! Adelaide was still calling that familiar name. But what was waiting for her would be her end of the world. Her hands and feet were cut through by the rope because of struggling.

But she couldn't lose her child. She continued to twist, trying to struggle the rope tied to her.

She couldn't hold on anymore. Adelaide called her baby over and over again, because she felt that the baby was gradually separating from her with her every shout.

Her hair was soaked by sweat. Adelaide was too exhausted to move. Her screams of "ummm" were the most beautiful music to Clarissa.

Tears fall down mixed with sweats. Adelaide couldn't tell what it was her tears or sweats. Slowly, she felt a sharp pain. Then she passed out and didn't know anything!

After Antonio returned to the company, he suddenly felt a strong of anxiety. His breathing became difficult. When he returned to the office, it was the tax evasion thing again. He rubbed his temples. It had always been Antonio who dealt with tax things. Several days ago, Alvin said that he didn't believe Antonio, so Antonio just let Alvin deal with these things. But some procedures had not been completed yet.

Now that such a thing happened. The tax officers didn’t care about their internal staffs’ transfer. Their principle was that they would punish with due severity once being found out by them. People like Antonio who evade taxes of millions of dollars usually had to go through judicial channels, or even had to go to jail if the case was serious.

Antonio explained to these people patiently that the person who was in charge of tax was no longer him, but those people only recognized the legal documents. He sighed helplessly. When he was unable to do anything, his Grandma came to the office with her crutch.

The solid wood crutch was hit the ground heavily. Although she was old, she was still domineering when she spoke, "It’s me. You take me back to investigate!"

"Grandma!"

Antonio quickly got up to help Hermosa. After she sat on the sofa, she gently patted Antonio's leg, "I’m his grandmother, the company's corporate. It’s me who evaded the taxes. I’m old and can’t remember anything. Just take me to investigate."

"Grandma, no!"

Hermosa sighed. She wouldn’t come to the company for no reason. In order not to affect Antonio's leadership, she hadn't stepped into the company for seven years. If it weren't for a few days of panic and she always felt that something big was about to happen, she would not come to the company.

The tax officers looked at each other. The annual tax paid by the Baron Group was one-tenth of the tax of the entire city or even the country. They didn’t want to offend the boss in the Baron Group. But the person who reported the case was very cunning this time, making them have to severely punishing Antonio.

If it was really not Antonio who evaded the tax, they would naturally not let Antonio be the scapegoat. Because Hermosa was old, the tax officers took special care of her. A group of people supported her.

Antonio followed. Seeing his Grandma being taken into the car by them, he said, "Grandma, I’ll go to find the evidence right away."

Hermosa glanced at him with a relief, and said, "Antonio, Grandma feels so flustered today. You go to see Adelaide first. Only when she is fine can I rest assured."

Antonio remembered Adelaide who was still in the hospital. He nodded. Seeing the car driving away slowly, he immediately took out his cell phone to call Adelaide. But the phone was hung up after a few beeps. When he called again, the phone was shutdown directly.

His heartbeat was extremely fast. He had a foreboding that something bad would happen, so he immediately called Oscar. But he didn’t expect that Oscar’s phone also powered off.

Antonio quickly put down his work and drove to the hospital.

When he arrived at the door of the operating room, he didn’t see Adelaide and Oscar. Antonio was even more worried that they would have an accident. He kept dialing Adelaide's number and went out to ask the front desk.

When he was getting nothing, he saw Oscar. Antonio rushed to him. He heaved a sigh of relief, "Where is Adelaide?"

Oscar was stunned. He didn't know how to tell Antonio about this. He hesitated for a long time, "Mr. Antonio, Mrs. Baron is pregnant with a boy."

Hearing this, Antonio was overjoyed, "Really? I just knew it!" But suddenly, his expression changed. He grabbed Oscar's collar, "What do you mean? She has only been pregnant for seven months. How do you know that it is a boy?"
