Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 92

"Call Antonio! Now!"

Hermosa was so furious. Clarissa murdered Adelaide’s child. Besides, Clarissa was still fake pregnant, which made Hermosa who was eager to have a grandson couldn't accept. She turned her head. When she pointed to Adelaide to let Adelaide to give a call to Antonio, her face was even a little distorted.

Adelaide stepped forward to support Hermosa. She patted Hermosa gently, while comforting softly, "We should tell Antonio this matter face to face! Grandma, don't be angry. Let the doctor accompany you out first, okay? I have something to ask Clarissa."

In the huge room, even if a needle fell on the floor, it could be heard by everyone. The people around Hermosa didn’t dare to breathe heavily. The doctor also knew there were some scandals in rich families. Hermosa looked at Adelaide for a while and then glared at Clarissa for a while before she turned around.

"Let's go!" After that, Hermosa took the lead to go out.

After a sound of neat footsteps, the room calmed down again. Adelaide just leaned down and stared at Clarissa. Clarissa felt scared, but she still glared back at Adelaide arrogantly, "Bitch, you quickly untie it!"

An evil smile appeared on Adelaide’s face. Clarissa swallowed. Her loud voice was just covering her fear at the moment. Especially she had never seen Adelaide smiling so terribly. She shook her head and continued to pretend to be arrogant, "Adelaide, don't you dare?"

Adelaide sneered. She reached out and untied the rope tied to Clarissa's body.

Clarissa put on her pants and pulled her jacket down. Today was the most humiliating day in her life. She clenched her fists secretly and swore that she would definitely get back at Adelaide.

The furnishings of the room had already changed a lot. Clarissa rubbed her wrists and looked at Adelaide coldly. After a long while, Adelaide licked her dry lips. A strange taste came into her mouth. She was suddenly stunned!

Since the start of pregnancy, she couldn’t be more cautious. Even if the lipsticks were marked with words such as edible and safe for pregnant women, she was still worried it would hurt her baby. So she gave up all the lipsticks.

After finally getting used to not putting on lipstick when going out, she had to adapt to the life with lipstick now. She smiled helplessly. Then she took a deep breath and asked, "I don't want to waste my breath with you. When you saw me in a coffee shop, what did you want to tell me about Koby?"

Clarissa sat on the side of the bed and fiddled with the hair. She raised her head and looked at Adelaide, "Koby? Oh, I remember it. I mean he should die!"

She would not tell Adelaide the answer Adelaide wanted to know.

"Then how did you know that Antonio would be there that day?" Adelaide asked again.

An idea popped into Clarissa’s mind, "It was Antonio who asked me out that day. He said he missed me!" Clarissa was sure about that even if Adelaide went to ask Antonio, she would only ask whether Antonio had asked her out. As for why Antonio asked Clarissa out, it was not important!

Hearing this, Adelaide took two steps back violently. She shook her head and shouted in disbelief, "Impossible, Antonio doesn't like you!"

Clarissa seemed to have expected Adelaide to say this a long time ago. She smiled proudly, "He doesn't like me? Adelaide, do you want me to judge you stupid, or naive? He often tells me that he doesn’t like you in front of me. So I can understand why he told you that he doesn't like me." After a pause, she looked at Adelaide and sighed sympathetically, "Think about it, if Antonio doesn't like me, will he sleep with me? If he doesn’t like me, will he be so anxious when something happens to me? Think about it, what had he done to you when I was pregnant? Now? Just because you blocked the bullet for him. He feels sorry for you, so he treats you nicer than before!"

Adelaide was shocked. The pictures of the past were played back in her mind like a movie. She clearly remembered all the past. Clarissa's words undoubtedly shattered all her current beautiful fantasy. Adelaide still pretended to believe in Antonio in front of Clarissa. But in fact, she was already in a mess.

She pressed her lips tightly without saying a word, like a wounded beast staring at the prey in front her.

Clarissa felt happy when she saw this scene. She knew Adelaide well. Under her long-term suppression, Adelaide had lost self-confidence long ago. Just a few words could crush Adelaide. The more Clarissa thought about it, the more she couldn't help but want to laugh at Adelaide. The smile on her face became brighter, "Adelaide, just think about it, if it weren’t you who suddenly said that you were pregnant that day, with Antonio’s love for me, it wouldn’t be a hard thing for me to be pregnant with his baby?"

Adelaide continued not to speak. Clarissa was smug. Naturally, she would not miss such a good opportunity to insult Adelaide. She walked to Adelaide's side and said, "Adelaide! Do you know the person he wanted to get married with is me? But the Baron Group wants to buy the Swift Group. He doesn't want to sacrifice me and make me become the sinner of the Swift Group, so he got married with you. You are just my substitute."

The word "substitute" plunged deeply into Adelaide's mind. She couldn't even breathe. She lost her momentum without fighting. She wanted to say that she didn’t like Antonio and she was just taking advantage of Antonio. She opened her mouth several times but her mouth was just like to be stuck with glue, making her unable to say a word.

Clarissa's goal was achieved. She crossed her arms on her chest, waiting for Adelaide's counterattack.

"The only person Antonio likes is me, so don't think about it anymore!" Adelaide maintained the last trace of dignity, her eyes staring at Clarissa unblinkingly.

It was a pity that Adelaide’s staring didn't have a deterrent effect. Clarissa didn't care about her reactions at all, "Adelaide, you still don't know who is fancying! Even if he will be angry after knowing that I’m fake pregnant, you are still a substitute and will never get rid of living in my shadow."

Adelaide ignored her, turned around and wanted to go out to get some fresh air. Clarissa still refused to let Adelaide go. She still said those words which were full of contempt and provocation.

Seeing that Adelaide did ignore her words, Clarissa was a little angry. She took a few steps forward and grabbed Adelaide's shoulder, forcibly turning Adelaide around to face herself.

She also wanted to slap Adelaide. But her hand was caught in the air by Adelaide. Suddenly, Adelaide slapped Clarissa. Adelaide’s eyes became colder. Although Clarissa had fight with Adelaide for more than 20 years, she was still shocked by this cold look. Clarissa swallowed!

"I will tell Antonio all the things you did, including how your ex-boyfriends judged you. Clarissa, do you think that Antonio will still say he only likes you after hearing those things?" Adelaide stared at Clarissa, which made Clarissa feel creepy.

Clarissa panicked at once, but it also showed that Adelaide believed what she said. The only thing she was not sure was whether Adelaide would go to tell Antonio those matters. But she still pretended to be calm, "I'm not afraid!"
