Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 136

She yelled at the chat interface of "Baby Hanna", pretending that she did not care about their friendship at all, but her tears showed that she was loath to end their friendship.

She wiped away tears at random and pretended to be strong, but tears came down her face like spring water. She hid under the quilt and cried loudly. Hanna had never unfriended her before. It made Adelaide aware of the seriousness and regret her hurting people around her like a hedgehog.

The smartphone placed outside the quilt was ringing, but she cried so hard that she couldn't hear. She didn't find it until she poked her head out after her face became red for lack of oxygen.

Before looking at the smartphone, Adelaide was overjoyed and wiped away tears with the quilt because her instinct told her that it was Hanna. She took the smartphone hurriedly and saw several words on the screen, "Doctor Calvin."

She was suddenly stunned. She lost final hope, tears pouring down again. Then she picked up the phone tremblingly.

"Why did it take you so long to pick up the phone?"

She naturally didn't find that she missed several calls because the smartphone was ringing just now. Adelaide cleared her throat, "Well, I was busy just now."

Calvin did not think much about it, because he was already very happy when he heard her voice. He smiled and squinted his eyes, asking, "Zofia comes and she wants to see you. Would you like to come over here?"

Adelaide thought for a while and then agreed.

Knowing that she couldn't drive, Calvin volunteered to pick her up. Adelaide thought that she could take a taxi by herself and did not want to bother him, but Calvin was determined though he talked with a smile. She applied a much foundation on her face, but still failed to cover the skin red from crying. She put down the makeup in frustration. When she was about to washed off the foundation, Calvin called her, saying that he had arrived.

Adelaide was surprised at his speed, took her smartphone from the table and went downstairs hurriedly. Damla had just cleaned the first floor when she saw Adelaide dressed beautifully from a distance. She didn't even give Damla a glance, changed her shoes and went straight to the car outside.

Seeing her coming out, Calvin got off the car, opened the door of the back seat for her, asked her to sit in gently and then returned to the driver's seat. Then, he started the car and drove away, leaving some dust behind. Damla saw everything and then ran to her room quickly to phone Antonio, reporting what she had saw to him.

When they arrived at the office, Zofia and her parents were sitting upright on the sofa. Seeing her, Zofia was obviously very happy. She was much lively than yesterday and went to hug Adelaide.

She helped Calvin in his work again. Soon, they finished today's therapy, after which Zofia played with Adelaide for a little while and then went home with her schoolbag to do her homework.

There were just Adelaide and Calvin in the office. He made a cup of coffee for her, stared at her and asked, "Can you tell me the reason why you cry?"

What he said was irresistible. Adelaide bit her lip desperately. This was her last psychological defense. Calvin asked again gently. She swallowed saliva and nodded, "I quarreled with Hanna!"

Hearing this, he was much relieved and smiled with ease, "It is normal. It is not rare that friends quarrel with each other."

Hearing him saying so, Adelaide shook her head and covered her eyes with one hand, as if avoiding it. After a long time, she told him everything slowly. After that, Calvin was also silent.

It was common for friends to quarrel with each other.

However, it was just one part. The other part was that the worst thing between friends was distrust.

Adelaide had hurt her friend out of distrust. Calvin wanted to say something. As a matter of fact, both of them did nothing wrong. Hanna was kind-hearted, but Adelaide was too angry. He believed that she wouldn't say something aggressive to Hanna if she was rational.

"I know you didn't mean to say those words." he paused for a while. Literally, he was not good at reconciling the relationship between two girls. Seeing tears poured down Adelaide's face, he had to manage to comfort her, "Believe me. Hanna is a lively girl. It's likely that she is angry for the time being. When she calm down, she will contact you."

Adelaide sniffed and used tissue to wipe tears. She was still weeping. Although Calvin did not point it out, she realized her mistake."

Calvin wanted to touch her hair to comfort her, and he indeed did so. However, he just wanted to comfort Adelaide who was upset. Knowing that she was married, he tried his best to contain his feelings.

At this moment, the door was kicked open and they subconsciously sat upright. For the visitor, he was sure that they had done something out of bounds and acted like this to cover, but it had the opposite effect.

"Antonio, what are you doing here?"

Adelaide asked in astonishment after she saw the visitor clearly.

He was furious, came close to her quickly and grasped her arm, pulling her up from the sofa. He grasped her arm tightly in anger.

She was thin and vulnerable before him, so she cried out in pain, "Let go of me! Let go!"

"Why do I come here if I let go of you?" Antonio pursed his mouth, glared at them so coldly that they shook and said in voice as cold as ice, "How could I know that my good wife has a love affair behind me?"

"What nonsense are you talking about?"

Both of them said. Calvin stood up and tried to pull Antonio's hand away, "If you want to talk with her, let go of her first."

In Antonio's eyes, they seemed to be defending each other. He stared at Adelaide coldly who gave him angry glance stubbornly, "Talking nonsense? Mrs. Baron, weren't you complaining to Doctor Calvin about how badly I treat you? And you even wept when getting emotional. When I came in just now, I saw him touching your hair. Where will he touch next?"

While talking, he wiped tears from one of her eyes with his thumb with thick callus. While talking deeper into the topic, he also placed his hand on Adelaide's private part.

A clear sound appeared.

Adelaide gave him a slap on the face, making that sound. When Antonio was stunned, Adelaide took the chance to push him away and scolded him angrily with cold eyes, "Antonio, are you shameless? I don't have an ambiguous relation with Doctor Calvin and I did not mention you from the beginning to the end."

Calvin took care of her as if he were his elder brother, giving her warmth that she hadn't seen for a long time. So she would definitely not let him defame Calvin. She swore to herself, stretched her hand behind her back and clenched it into a fist.

"I'm shameless? Go home with me." He grasped her hand, trying to forcibly take her away from this place. Subconsciously, he thought that Calvin misled Adelaide here.
