Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 164

Housemaids were exactly the ones who knew the most. Aadam looked at her thoughtfully.

"Master, don't worry. I won't say a word I shouldn't say."

The housemaid was good at observing with the experience that she had accumulated over the years. Seeing that Aadam changed his expression, she explained at once. As for whether she would say it out or not, it was unknown.

Aadam nodded and motioned that she could continue to say. Seeing this, the housemaid talked endlessly about the family things of Antonio. And these were important things that wasn't mentioned in the private investigator's report.

The housemaid didn't licked her dry lips and reluctantly ended the topic until she was tired from talking. Aadam was thinking about Antonio thoughtfully, and he began to re-examine Antonio who had been despised by him.

"Well, the meeting is over!"

The focus of the meeting was to praise Antonio for his response to the Sunrise Company and the Delia Group. This time, he turned the tide and kept the cosmetics department of the Baron Group entirely with his own efforts.

He always looked cold, whether he was scolded, denounced or praised, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking. However, the members of the board of directors had lost the interest to speculate about his thoughts.

They clearly understood that they were unable to shake his position now since they failed to bring him down when he became president at a young age. Apart from Alvin and Matthew, who were his close relatives, other people had given up the idea of opposing Antonio and devoted themselves to working for him.

Antonio rose, said these simple words and then left. Oscar, who followed him, gave a glance subconsciously at the person sitting on the left. That person glared at him severely and motioned for him to follow.

No one on the scene noticed their communication. Oscar understood his intention, put away the documents on the desk and put on an innocent smile, "Sirs, please return to your posts as soon as possible." Then, he kept up with Antonio without looking back.

Everyone was very dissatisfied that he, as but a secretary, dared to be arrogant in front of them. They all cursed him for being like a dog threatening people on the strength of its master's power! No one dared to speak it out. They all got up and left the conference room in an orderly manner.

Back to his to office, Alvin motioned his secretary to draw the curtain. The curtain was specially purchased from abroad and had the same effect as the window of Antonio. They could clearly see what was going on outside from inside through his curtain or Antonio's window, while people outside could see nothing through window.

"That person..." Having long not met that man, he could hardly remember his name. Alvin patted the back of his head in distress in the hope of remembering his name.

The secretary who stood behind him was anxious but didn't know who he was talking about for a long time.

"We paid off his debt. He... He was the old flame of Adelaide. I forgot his name." Alvin was also very anxious. Seeing his nephew being in the limelight, how could he calm down?

Hearing this, the secretary's eyes lit up and hurriedly replied proudly, "Channing!"

"Yes. We had paid off the debt for him. It's time for him to do something for us." Sitting on the sofa, Alvin twisted the ring on his index finger, looked at the secretary thoughtfully and said.

The moment Alvin mentioned this person, the secretary remembered him and smiled evilly, "Yes, Mr. Alvin. I remember it when you mentioned. We helped the bastard so much, but he did fucking nothing in return."

The secretary was originally a careless person. He hadn't received much education and only knew that people should requite others' favors. In the past, it was Alvin who saved his life when he was about to be killed by the head of a gang. Since then, he had been working for Alvin. Over the years, Alvin had always been cultivating him intentionally or unintentionally, but he still said dirty words when he was anxious.

Alvin nodded, "Then you go and ask him to come over."

"Yes."

It was sunny and therefore a good time to travel. Antonio could only spend the whole day in his office, so he loosened slowly the supervision of Adelaide. In addition, it was unreasonable not to let her go out because Hanna often came to find her.

On this day, Adelaide went out for entertainment with Hanna again. Thick white clouds blocked the sun so that it could not directly shine on the ground, and therefore it was cool. They played happily in the bamboo forest. This was the newly opened outdoor sports venue, in which the bamboos were transported here from all over the country. Their business philosophy was: to make people want to do outdoor sports even in the hot summer.

They were enjoying themselves. They were dressed in traditional clothes, looking just like fairies coming out of ancient paintings. Adelaide had the unique elegance and solemnity of oriental women. With the skin as white as snow and delicately built and slim figure, she was more beautiful than general people and even stars. She winked and motioned for Hanna to press the button to take photos.

"It's my turn. It's my turn!"

Hanna was in sharp contrast to her. Her skin was a little dark because of sunshine. This was probably also because the skin of Adelaide was whiter than even snow.

She was a head taller than Adelaide, which made her look more like a chivalrous woman. She held a prop sword that hadn't sharp edge in her hand and held it straight across her, looking really somewhat like a chivalrous woman.

It was Hanna's idea to go out in traditional costumes. Seeing that Adelaide stayed in the house all day and looked gloomy, she felt sorry for her. Because she knew Adelaide well, she didn't consider any adventurous and nerve-jangling activities.

When she telephoned Jerry to talk about it, Jerry advised that they could wear traditional costumes and go to take pictures with traditional costumes fans in the fields. This idea was immediately approved by Hanna. She could nearly imagine how charming Adelaide would be when she wore a graceful traditional costume.

Most girls would use sheets as clothes and pretended to be the queen on TV when they were young. Adelaide was no exception. She had been thinking about wearing traditional clothes, so she agreed with Hanna's advice immediately.

So, they came here to take pictures. They took a few more pictures. When they wanted to find someone to take pictures for them, they found that people around them had all disappeared. Adelaide frowned and felt uneasy.

Soon this uneasiness was proved to be right. Several fat man in vest and jeans walked towards them with lustful looks. Adelaide's eyelids twitched, pulled Hanna who was still in a daze and turned to run in the other direction.

Seeing this, those strong men also ran towards them.

Soon they were surrounded by those people. Hanna pulled out her sword at once, pointed at them and shouted, "What do you want to do? I tell you, I don't have to bear legal responsibility for killing in self-defense. Go away if you are smart!"
