Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 176

Ivy stepped forward in fear and handed the letter over. She lowered her head and answered in low voice, "I just found this letter outside the door, on which your name was written."

Hermosa glanced languidly at the letter in Ivy's hand. It was a commonly seen envelope in the market. She did not know who had left it in front of her house, nor did she bother to read this common-looking letter.

She waved her hand and said impatiently, "Throw it away!"

Ivy nodded and turned around to throw away the letter which had caused her to receive reproof from Hermosa. Unexpectedly, Hermosa thought for a while and called her back. Hermosa's expression changed after she took the letter from her hand and gave it a glance!

The next second, she slapped the photo. She was so furious that she almost couldn't breathe. Ivy reacted quickly and helped her sit down. While patting Hermosa's back, she handed her a glass of water, "Hermosa, what makes you so angry?"

"Humph! Adelaide! Go, go to the house Antonio is living in!"

It could be seen that it was Adelaide who made her angry from these simple words.

After a while, they arrived at Antonio's house.

He happened to be at home today. Hearing someone ringing the doorbell, Damla trotted all the way to the gateway. When she opened the door, she saw Hermosa who wore an angry expression, and nodded respectfully.

"Go away. Where's Adelaide? Tell her to come out and see me!"

As she spoke, she knocked hard on the floor with her cane, scaring people and giving out a dull sound "bang".

Hermosa had hit many people with this cane. Hearing this sound, Damla's heart thumped, even she was in her 40s or 50s. She didn't dare to speak and stood aside, allowing Hermosa to stride inside angrily.

In this way, Adelaide could heard the noise Hermosa made although she was sitting on the second floor. That unique cane knocked on the floor, giving out a sound "bang", making people's heart palpitate.

"What's wrong, granny?"

This was a valuable rest day, so Antonio and Adelaide didn't get up until nine o'clock. If it were on workdays, Antonio should have worked for a long time at this point. He found time to watch TV in the living room, but he heard the doorbell ring not long before he sat down.

Wondering if it was Oscar who came to send an important document to him, he was about to open the door when Damla quickly ran to the door. So he sat down and continued to watch the news.

Hearing the voice of Hermosa, he was also puzzled and hurriedly got up to meet her.

Hermosa gave him a glance. It seemed that she didn't want to talk to him. When she remembered that the man who had been caught she saw on the news yesterday was exactly the one in the photo, she suddenly understood what was going on and looked at Antonio with some contempt, "Humph, you're still at home? Don't you dare to go out and see other people?"

"What on earth is wrong, granny?"

He frowned and repeated it.

"I don't want to talk to you. Ask Adelaide to see me." Hermosa probably knew that she was at the end of her wits when she faced Antonio, so she waved her hand and put on an expression that would let Antonio knew that she didn't want to talk to him.

At this time, there were bursts of rhythmic sounds coming from the stairs. They turned to the stairs and saw Adelaide went downstairs in her slippers. There wasn't expression on her face, which, as far as Hermosa was concerned, meant that she refused to repent although she had made a mistake.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. Hermosa used such great strength that she pushed away Antonio, strode to Adelaide and hit her with the cane without saying a word.

"Ah!"

Adelaide gave out a painful cry and it was a normal reaction. The cane was made of solid agaric wood. People would hurt very much if being hit with it.

Adelaide rolled down the stairs after Hermosa hit her twice with the cane. Antonio realized what was happening, rushed to Adelaide and held her tightly in his arms, receiving the third hit.

"My God!"

Ivy and Damla had never seen something like this before. It was not surprising for Hermosa to hit anyone with a cane, but it was really strange for her to hit Adelaide, who she had always liked.

The two housemaids covered their mouths with their hands, not knowing what to do.

Fortunately, Hermosa still had good eyesight. As soon as she saw that it was Antonio who was hit, she immediately withdrew the cane. She put on an even angrier expression, her eyes gleaming with anger. She stared at Adelaide who had fallen to the ground, then glanced at Antonio who was holding her and gritted her teeth while saying disappointedly, "Antonio, what are you doing? It's unworthy of you to protect her."

Antonio ignored her query and asked Adelaide first, "Adelaide, how are you? Are you seriously injured? Shall I send you to the hospital?"

There was sweat on her forehead, but she shook her head, "It is ok. I'm fine."

He was still a little worried. After all, he had been hit by Hermosa with her cane several times and he knew that Hermosa didn't hit him hard although she seemed to have used great strength. Today, however, he clearly saw that the muscles on Hermosa's arms bulged when she hit Adelaide.

"Granny, if there is any misunderstanding, we can first talk about it instead of hitting her."

Antonio helped Adelaide up. Still worried that Hermosa would hit Adelaide again, he pulled Adelaide behind him and said to Hermosa with a little reproof in his voice.

Adelaide soon had a bruise on her arm. It was a thick mark. After she stretched out her hand to touch it gently, she almost shed tears of pain. Last time, she offended Hermosa with her words, so she had anticipated that Hermosa would not let her off after considering her character. But she didn't expect that it would come so soon.

Hermosa was so angry that she almost couldn't stand still. She angrily took out a picture from her pocket, threw it on Antonio's face and said angrily, "Take a look at it yourself."

Antonio picked up the photo and the blue veins budged on his forehead. This photo was exactly the same as the one Antonio received. He pinched the corner of the photo so hard that it wrinkled. He threw away the photo and said coldly, "Granny, the man in the photo set this trap for Adelaide. Why did you hit her without even asking?"

Hearing the conversation, Adelaide totally knew the reason why Hermosa beat her up. She crossed her arms over the chest with a faint seeming sneer. They were indeed blood relatives, having the same reaction in the first place when they encountered problems!

Antonio saw her scornful eyes and suddenly felt guilty. He knew what she was laughing at.

"Look at her. Is she the Adelaide I knew? It's shameless for her laugh after sleeping with another man." Hermosa didn't know the details of this incident, but she wouldn't change her attitude even if she knew. That was because today she wanted Antonio to...After a pause, she directly ordered with a cold expression, "Divorce her! Antonio, I want you to divorce her!"

"Granny!" Antonio rubbed his temple in distress and shouted loudly to stop her from continuing to say those unpleasant words.
