Please Let Me Go novel Chapter 180

Antonio had been staying at Olivia's home and chatting with Olivia's mother for the afternoon.

Antonio looked at the setting sun in the sky and the watch on his wrist. It was getting late, but Olivia still didn't come back, which made him frown.

After one more while, Antonio finally lost all his patience. It seemed that he had to come here another day or let someone take Olivia to see him directly.

He got up and smiled apologetically at Olivia's mother, "Auntie, it's late and Olivia hasn't come back yet. I think I’d better come to find him on another day."

Hearing this, Olivia's mother made a little effort to let him stay. Seeing that Antonio insisted on leaving, she no longer insisted on it.

She murmured, "It's strange. Ollie should have been back at this time."

When she just finished her words, Antonio had already walked to the door and put one hand on the doorknob.

However, at this moment, there was a knock at the door.

"Mom, I'm back." The knock was accompanied by a young man's voice.

Antonio smiled and withdrew his hand from the doorknob.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." Olivia's mother answered with a smile and went to open the door quickly, "Ollie, one of your friend has come to see you."

Olivia was stunned at hearing this, then looked away from his mother and stared at Antonio.

He had a puzzled expression on his face. Obviously, he didn't have any memory about Antonio in his mind at all.

When he was stunned, Antonio had already stretched out a slender hand, "Hello, I'm Antonio, the president of the Baron Group."

Antonio spoke in an extremely calm voice, but Olivia's expression changed instantly when he heard this.

Before, he was entrusted by a friend and found a girl to go to the Baron Group to make trouble. Therefore, he also had a certain understanding of the Baron Group. Besides, Antonio was originally a celebrity in J City, and Olivia often saw Antonio on TV and in the newspapers.

He didn't recognize Antonio just was because he had never dealt with Antonio before and had never seen Antonio with his own eyes.

Olivia stretched out a hand stiffly and shook hands with Antonio. By this time his mind had been in turmoil.

Although he didn't receive much education, he was not a fool either. He had never dealt with Antonio. Why would Antonio come to find him?

Moreover, Antonio was a celebrity in J City while he was just an ordinary person in the world.

Then there was only one possibility left: Antonio already knew what he had done!

Thinking of this, Olivia almost had an impulse to immediately withdraw his hand and run away. However, he knew he would be found no matter where he went because Antonio was powerful. It could be proved by the fact that Antonio could find his home.

Seeing Olivia's strange expression, Olivia's mother couldn't help feeling puzzled, "Ollie, what's wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Olivia made a pathetic attempt to smile at his mother, "Mom, I'm fine."

Antonio said to Olivia's mother, "Auntie, as you know, it's not good for us to expose some information about our business to you, so I'd like to talk to Olivia outside the door."

"I see. I see." As she said, Olivia's mother went round to the apartment, "Well, I'll cook for you and you talk first. Mr. Antonio, stay and have a meal."

After she left, Antonio went outside with Olivia.

"I believed that you know the reason why I come to find you today." Antonio stared at Olivia and said slowly.

Olivia rubbed his hands and faked a silly smile, "I'm a minion, and I really don't know what you come to find me for."

Antonio was not annoyed, "It doesn't matter. I'll tell you. I spent 100000 dollar and got to know you from the woman who you asked to make trouble. Don't worry. I come here today without malice. I just want you to tell me who asked you to do this."

Antonio stressed the word "who".

Olivia's heart sank, his eyes gleamed with malevolence, "So what? To tell you the truth, Mr. Antonio, I admire that you have the courage to dare to come to find me alone." When he spoke, Olivia had already clenched his hands into tight fists.

It seemed that he was very likely to hit Antonio the next second.

However, Antonio smiled disdainfully, "Stop acting like this. I've done a detailed investigation on you. You're somewhat clever, but you're really not good at fighting."

Olivia sneered, "Then, Mr. Antonio, you should have heard an old saying, 'a cornered beast will do something desperate.'"

Antonio patted his shoulder, "Don't worry, you won't be cornered. I'm not coming to kill you." After a pause, Antonio suddenly put on a serious expression, "I just let you tell me who asked you to do this. What's s more, you're not telling me for nothing. I will pay you for it."

"After all, isn't you did that for money?" Antonio spread out his hands and smiled confidently.

Olivia loosened his fists. When he was about to speak, Antonio continued to say, "Look, you've done something harmful to the interests of my company. And I'm going to pay you to get information from you. I suffer a great loss. So, tell me before I change my mind."

"I can't break my promise. I've promised that person to keep it a secret, so I won't compromise with you because of the money." Olivia said these words with a firm look in his eyes.

Antonio gently uttered a sound "gee". He really didn't expect that Olivia would say such words, "Then why didn't you give money to your friend as you had promised? Besides, I heard that the money you gave your friend was much less than that of other women who came to my company to make trouble."

Olivia sneered, "I didn't refuse to give her money as I had promised. I meant to give her at that time. However, this stupid woman insisted that I give her another 70000 dollar because she had only 30000 dollar in total while other women had 100000 dollar."

Olivia swallowed saliva, "I only got 50000 dollar in total from the person who contacted me. Why should I give her 100000 dollar? Moreover, it has already been agreed that I would give her 30000 dollar. Since she has agreed to it, why should she ask for more after the event?"

He was talkative with splitting mouth water drops, and he was confident.

Antonio couldn't help giving him another glance. What Olivia said seemed to be a nonsense. However, he found that there was some truth in it after careful consideration.

Antonio gave Olivia a new evaluation in his heart, at least, not as bad as before.
