The Lees held a banquet and invited the Browns and Logan especially. They also wanted to invited the Stones. However, Zach said politely that his parents weren’t available. So he attended the banquet by himself.

Elena was unwilling to attend it, either. However, Grandpa George urged her, “Elena, you should go. Think about the relationship between our families. Do you want to make it even worse?”

So Elena had no choice but to attend it with Logan.

But Logan told her, “You don’t have to go there. Actually, it’s the Browns’ business, not mine.”

“Forget it. Just a meal. What’s more, Zach is Anna’s boyfriend. I think no one will talk about you and her behind our back.” Elena said in a calm tone.

“OK.” Logan agreed with her, “It’s up to you.”

Anna was the only daughter of the Lees. They took the banquet very seriously as if holding a wedding. Their servants were so busy preparing it in and out of the hall.

After getting off the car, Elena turned around and saw Zach and Anna smiling happily behind them. Anna was surprised and said, “I don’t know that you’ll be here.”

“Well, you know, Grandpa makes us here.” Elena smiled to her.

Zach was unsatisfied with her answer, “Oh! Aren’t you here for me?! Oh, Lord! I just flatter myself to Anna that you’re here for me!”

Logan gave him a glance, “Well, you are unimportant.”

“Look at you! Logan! You cared about me before you got married! And now, you only care about you wife! I am jealous!” Zach said jokingly, pretending to be sad.

Logan raised his eyebrow, not to make a comment.

Zach couldn’t bear his unconcern and wanted to punish him. However, thinking that Jacob was so good at the sport of Sanda, he chickened out. What he could do was just giving him a woeful glance.

The Lees were out to welcome them. However, they didn’t like Elena. But they had to bear it and led them into the hall cheerfully.

It was an open-air banquet. It was sunny that day. And the banquet was a success.

Grandpa George was so happy. He stood so close to Zach and Anna, talking with the Lees in a cheerful tone. It seemed that it was him who made them a couple.

“Bored?” Elena asked Logan, for she could see boring expression on his face. Logan didn’t answer. Thinking she didn’t eat anything, he changed the subject, “Do you want to eat something?”

The various dishes and deserts were put on tables for everyone to choose as they liked. They looked so delicious and tasty.

Elena thought he might be hungry, so she nodded, “Wait a minute, I will get some food for you!”

Before he could say something, she quickly ran to the tables and fetched a plate to pick food.

Yolanda pulled Anna to a place that no one could hear their conversation. She pointed at Elena with a finger, “Look at her! How happy she is now! She is so lucky to get away with it last time! But everyone knows that it’s her fault! They’re just afraid to speak it out!”

“Yolanda, forget it. I don’t want Logan anymore.” Anna showed her pity to her while talking.

Yolanda was worried, “Come on! Can you bear that Logan belongs to Elena?”

Anna looked at her gratefully, and asked her a question she kept asking in her mind, “Yolanda, don’t you hate me?”

Though everyone didn’t mention about her past, she knew Grandpa George was blaming her. Or he wouldn’t have kept pushing her to find a boyfriend. He made her understand that it was impossible for her to be with Logan by this way.

“Why do I hate you?” Yolanda gave her a hug, acting like they were good friends. “You know, Logan is bad-tempered. It’s reasonable you couldn’t bear. And education matters to you.”

Anna was moved by her. She patted her head softly, “Thank you so much for standing by my side.”

“Come on. We’re best friends!”

Well, Anna looked at Elena jealously.

Yolanda could read it. She pulled her sleeve and made a plan, “Anna, I will help you take it out on her!”
