Reborn: Another Chance to Leave U by Hazel Ramirez novel Chapter 35

Chapter 35 The Candy

“Ms. Dutt, someone wants to catch you. Leave your home now.”

Anaya was combing Sammo‘s hair when she received the call from Silvia, She was a little confused.

Silvia seemed to be running, panting leavily.

Anaya was about to ask her what had happened when she heard her scream in pain.

Then, the call was hung up.

Anaya called again only to hear the cold mechanical voice, saying that silva‘s phone was off.

Something might have happened to Silvia.

Anaya hurriedly put on her coat and was about to take Sammo to go out.

As soon as he reached the entrance, the sound of something heavy hitting the door rang, Someone was smashing the door!

The gate shook violently, and the password lock shook as if it would collapse in the next second.

Anaya tried her best to remain calm and returned to the living room. She called 911 and went into the kitchen to get a knife to protect herself.

The sound outside suddenly stopped.

Then came the screams of strange men.

Anaya clutched the knife in her hand and held her breath.

A minute later, there was another knockon the door.

A normal one.

“It‘s me, open the door,” a familiar voice said.

This voice was cold, plain, but reassuring.

Anaya threw the knife to the ground and found that her palm was full of sweat.

She walked to the door and opened it. Hearst‘s tall figure entered her sight.

Hearst raised his hand as if he wanted to touch her, but he withdrew it.

He had blood on his hands.

He asked her softly, “Are you alright?”

Hearst‘s breathing was still a little chaotic, no longer as cold and noble as before, and there was a bit more of a bloody and wild feeling.

“Yes, I‘m fine,” Anaya shook her head.

She passed him and looked out the door.

Three men were lying on the ground, all had bled and were groaning in pain.

It was hard to imagine that Hearst had subdued three men in a minute.

She suddenly recalled the scene in the shooting range today.

Hearst was skilled at shooting, and he seldom missed a target.

It was difficult to reach such a level without professional training,

Anava previously thought that he was a money boy in Paradise Nightclub, but now she seemed to have looked him down

She was about to say something, when she saw a man on the ground taking out a short blade from his sleeve and trying to stab Hearst‘s back.

Anaya was shocked and quickly grabbed Hearst‘s shoulder to switch positions with him.

The knife cut her shoulder.

She gasped, and warm liquid poured out, dyeing her snow–white nightdress red.

Hearst‘s body stiffened, and the evil aura around him instantly rose.

The man succeeded in his first strike and wanted to attack again. Hearst held Anaya in his arms with one hand and raised the other hand to accurately grab the wrist of the man holding the knife.

The next second, the subtle sound of bones breaking rang out. The man shouted and the dagger in his hand fell to the ground.

Hearst put down Anaya and took a step forward, kicking that man to the wall.

He could no longer hide the madness in his eyes. He picked up the short knife the man dropped and walked towards the man, slowly and firmly.

The man‘s head hit the fire tank in the corner, breaking a big red hole.

He curled up in pain, holding his head with both hands, his whole body trembling as he begged for mercy, “I‘m sorry, don’t kill me.”

Hearst turned a deaf ear, his dark eyes seemed to be dyed red. He walked to the man and raised the short knife in his hand high

Before the knife fell, a hand grabbed him, “That‘s enough.”

Anaya‘s voice was trembling slightly.

She felt that if she did not stop it, there was a high chance that the man would soon be dead.

Hearst withdrew his hand and said nothing, silent and intimidating.

“I‘ll take you to the hospital,” he said after a long time.

“The wound is not deep. I can tell.”

The manused a short knife, plus he was injured, so he did not have much strength to stab. It was not a deep cut.

Although it was painful, it was not unbearable.

Anaya crouched down and looked at the man who was still shivering. “Did you catch a woman wearing a mask?”

“No… No...”

Hearst lowered his eyes to look at him, his voice calm but terrifying, “Tell the truthi,” he said.

The man trembled even more violently. In the end, he confessed everything.

Anaya returned to her room to get the car keys and decided to go for Silvia.

According to what the man had said, they originally wanted to capture her, but they had made a mistake.

It was because of her that Silvia had suffered.

She had implicated Silvia, but Silvia immediately called her to remind her to be careful after she escaped.

Anaya grasped the key in her hand, feeling somewhat guilty.

she saved Silvia last time because she wanted something from her.

She approached with purpose, but Silvia treated her with sincerity.

She quickly walked out but was blocked by Hearst at the door.

“Excuse me. I‘m going to find Silvia.”

“She will be fine.”

“What?”

“Take care of the wound first,” Hearst said as he pulled Anaya through the door.

His voice was very soft but peremptory.

Hearst went to the balcony and made a call, then he found a first aid kit.

Sammo lay on the ground to the side, not making a sound.

Sammo liked Hearst best, but he didn‘t dare to get close to Hearst today. He was probably also frightened.

Hearst sat down beside Anaya and took off her knitted coat, leaving only a silk strap on her.

Sexy and charming.

His hand paused slightly and carefully treated the wound on her shoulder.

The alcohol rubbed on the wound, and Anaya gasped in pain.

“Does it hurt?” The man frowned.

“A little.”

It was actually very painful.

Hearst took out a piece of candy from his suit pocket.

A candy.

It really didn‘t look like something he would bring with him.

“You have candies with you?”

“A friend likes them.”

He peeled the candy coat and handed it to her.

Anaya put the candy into her mouth.

She hadn‘t eaten this kind of candy for a long time.

The faint sincll of milk filled her mouth, and she suddenly thought of the young boy from ten years ago.

It was a boy she picked up from the side of the road. He was dirty, but handsome after washing.

In the year that boy stayed in the Dutt family, he often brought this kind of candy with him.

Every time she was unhappy, the boy would carefully stuff candy into her mouth and coax her awkwardly.

He called her Ana, and she called him brother.

But her brother suddenly disappeared that summer when she was 13.

The police siren from downstairs interrupted her thoughts. Anaya suddenly came back to her senses and stood up.

She had to follow the police to find silvia.

Hearst reached out and pulled her back to the sofa.

Anaya struggled for a moment but did not break free.

She found Hearst exceptionally strong tonight.

“I called the police. I have to make a statement.”

“Someone will handle it.”

His words always had the magic to ease her.

Anaya sat back on the sofa, curious about his identity.

She asked, “You are not a money boy in Paradise Nightclub?”

Hearst didn‘t stop his move as he casually asked, “What‘s the Paradise Nightclub?”

“The Paradise Nightclub is...” Anaya suddenly stopped and looked away awkwardly, “It‘s nothing. Never mind.”

Hearst glanced at her and did not ask further.

In the Night Pub.

Bryant received a call from his subordinate saying that Mia had been taken away by the police.

“Didn‘t I tell you to deal with the police first?”

“They gave us a formal explanation. I thought that there might be a third party intervening in this.”

“What about Anaya?”

Joshua, who was sitting opposite Bryant, cast an inquiring look when he heard the question,

“We caught the wrong person in the beginning, and then we went again, and we failed...”

Bryant hung up the phone before the man on the other side could finish speaking and threw the phone on the table, his expression a little agitated,

Joshua asked him, “What happened to Anaya?”

Bryant didn‘t plan to hide it from Joshua, so he told him everything.

“Did I ever allow you to touch her?”
