Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 324

Chapter 324 Election Results

Harris' supporters also felt relieved, as it meant Harris still had a chance to win.

Zain inwardly reminded himself not to panic and was confident the last vote was for him. In his opinion, Harris wouldn't have as many supporters as he had.

"The last vote. Harris Sutton!"

The announcement immediately raised a mighty uproar on the scene.

Zain and his supporters gaped, wondering how they had been defeated by Harris.

"Congratulations, Mr. Harris Sutton. You are our next mayor. Mayor Sutton, please give a speech."

In a trance, Zain still couldn't accept the result.

However, it was a fact.

Watching Harris confidently give a speech on the podium, Zain couldn't hear a single word.

He had tried hard for a long time and even gave up on his younger sister to let her be sent to jail, but he ended up losing. Why?

Olivia was also dumbfounded when watching the election. Although they failed to bribe government officials, they gained a lot of supporters. She couldn't believe the result at all.

Zain failed to be promoted. Then her next plan against the Riley family would be messed up!

Spencer was also too shocked to utter any word.

Zain lost the election. Did it mean he was unlikely to see Sophia step down from her current position as he had wished?

Spencer realized he was doomed.

In the office, Sophia turned off the TV. "We'll receive Harris' invitation later. Remember to accept it."

"No problem."

The final election results delighted some people while upset others. Zain and his supporters would be sent away, unless some of them managed to leave before the arrangement.

Drake had gone for a whole morning but still didn't return. Sophia wondered if something had happened to him.

Worriedly, she decided to check on him.

When she went to the basement parking lot and was about to sit in her car, several men attacked her.

'An ambush?"

Sophia could tell they had waited for her for a long time.

Although Sophia was competent, compared to Drake, she was easier to be handled, in Olivia's opinion.

Olivia, however, would be disappointed again, since Sophia easily defeated the attackers.

After knocking down the attackers, Sophia called the security guards to get them away.

When the security guards arrived, they were dumbfounded.

They were surprised that Sophia had easily knocked out those men.

She was a woman but had won against many men alone in fighting.

Even the security guards didn't have the confidence to make it.

They were impressed.

Shortly after, Olivia was informed that the men she sent to capture Sophia all failed. She had a headache.

In her opinion, it was understandable that her men failed to catch Drake, who was a tough cookie, but her men failed to capture Sophia as well.

If she couldn't ruin the evidence, she would never rest assured.

Suddenly, she figured out what to do. She couldn't capture Sophia but could kidnap Emma. She didn't consider Aria as the target because the latter was too stupid, and revolting.

Olivia wanted to teach Emma a lesson long ago. Finally, she had such a chance.

However, after she sent her men to kidnap Emma, none returned.

Only then did Olivia realize Drake had guarded against her long ago.

Olivia didn't give up, though.

One day, Emma received the Old Riley's call. He requested to meet her, but she didn't think it was necessary to meet him.

The Old Riley told her it was about Drake. Emma thought for a moment and agreed to meet him.

Once she left the house, a bodyguard blocked her way.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Glass. Mr. Riley doesn't want you to go out."

Emma wasn't angry. After all, they were sent to protect her.

"I know. But Drake's grandfather asked to meet me, and I agreed. I must keep my word."

One bodyguard suggested, "Well, we can go with you to protect you."

"Sure."

Emma didn't refuse.

After arriving at the appointed place, the bodyguards didn't enter. Standing outside the box, they were all on alert.

"Mr. Riley, you want to talk about Drake. Please go ahead," Emma said icily.

The Old Riley looked at her. "Emma, Drake has made Roman impotent. You should know it."

"Yes, I do."

"They are brothers. Although having different mothers, they are both the children of the Riley family. Did you ask Drake to do so?"

Emma wasn't surprised to hear the Old Riley say so. Since she returned to Sealand, Drake had distanced himself from the Rileys. She could understand why the Old Riley had such an idea.

"Mr. Riley, whether I asked Drake to do so or not, Roman deserved it!"

The Old Riley immediately scowled at her. "Emma, I know what kind of woman you are. But your vicious words really disappoint me!"

"Sorry if you have a bad impression of me and feel disappointed. Sophia has encountered that kind of thing. Drake wanted to protect her. They didn't do anything wrong."

The Old Riley snorted, "What did she encounter? What could Roman have done to her?"

Before Emma answered, a waitress accidentally sprayed a cup of coffee on her dress.

"I'm sorry, ma'am. I didn't mean to do so. Please take off your dress for laundry."

Emma was annoyed. She wore a white dress today, so the coffee stain was evident. However, she was well-educated, so she didn't blow up.

"It's alright. I can go home and wash it myself."

"No. I insist, ma'am. Can you follow me to the ladies' room? I can clean it for you for the time being, at least."

Emma felt bothered about the stain, so she nodded her agreement.

"Sorry, Mr. Riley. I'll be right back."

"Make it quick."

Evidently, the Old Riley lacked the patience to wait for her.

Emma followed the waitress to the ladies' room. Before walking to the sink, she was hit on the back of his neck and blacked out.

Her bodyguards waited for her for a long time but didn't see her back.

Cleaning her dress might take a long time, but it had been too long.

They were worried.

One entered the ladies' room to check, only to find a backdoor. Instantly, all the bodyguards panicked and turned away.

Olivia called the Old Riley. "Dad, Emma called me just now and said she was unwilling to continue the conversation with you. She has left. Are you still there? If so, I'll send the driver to pick you up."
