Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 344

Chapter 344 Rejected by Aria

"Miss Riley..."

Aria quickly handed him water, "Be careful. Have some water!"

Paul took it and took a sip. "Thank you, Miss Riley."

Aria was relieved to see that he was fine.

Paul didn't expect that she would ask. He should have told her before, but he was too timid to confess his love.

"I'm sorry, Miss Riley, I know I shouldn't have such thoughts about you, and I know I'm not good enough for you, but... But after your brother told me, I wanted to give it a shot, if you don't think I'm a good choice. I won't bother you again."

Aria looked at him in disbelief, "Paul, why do you think you are not good enough for me?"

"You are the young lady of the Riley family, and I would be nobody if your brother didn't offer me the job. We are from different worlds. I know I shouldn't have any illusions about you. Miss Riley, I'm sorry. I have crossed the line."

Although Drake had told Paul that he treated him like a buddy or a friend. Yet Paul knew very well who he was.

Aria looked at him speechlessly, "What are you thinking? Although I am from a richer family. At the end of the day, we are born equal. I am just lucky to be born as old money. But I never think that I am better.

"Besides, I did such absurd things when I was young, while you have been working well with my brother all the time. You have never had a girlfriend, right? It's me who is not good enough for you."

Paul opened his eyes wide, "No, Miss Riley, as you said, you were too young at that time. You didn't understand what you were doing. If you did, you wouldn't have done it, would you?"

Aria smiled wryly, "But I've done it either way!"

"Miss Riley, don't think of it like that. Even if you have experienced these things, you still have the right to pursue happiness. Don't turn your heart off just because of that. I mean, even if you don't accept me, you shouldn't refuse everyone in the future"

Aria really didn't pay attention to Paul before. Her impression of him was merely that he worked for her brother. Now, she found him kind of silly and cute.

Paul was indeed a good man, but she didn't deserve him!

"Paul, I invited you to dinner today just because I want to tell you, thank you for liking me, but I don't have feelings for you. I can't accept you, so from now on, let's be friends."

Paul knew things would turn out this way. Yet when Drake gave him hope, he chose to give it a try.

Now that this hope was completely shattered, he really didn't know what to do.

After a long time, Paul said, "Okay, I see, Miss Riley, thank you for telling me this."

"Well, please don't waste time on me, you deserve someone better."

"No, you are good enough, Miss Riley. Please don't think badly about yourself. I am sure you'll meet the right person, and I wish you well in advance."

Paul had such a good demeanor that he didn't make Aria feel troubled or stressful because of his love.

Aria didn't like him very much now, but giving up such a good person still made Aria painful.

After the meal, Paul returned to the office of Hawala shop in a daze.

Paul had been working for Drake for so long, and he had never made any mistakes. But today, he did several things wrong in a row.

"What's wrong? Are you rejected by Aria?

Paul came back to his senses and looked at Drake in disbelief, "Mr. Riley, how do you know?"

"It's written all over your face."

Paul subconsciously touched his cheek.

"It seems that she hasn't moved on yet."

Paul was taken aback by Drake's words, "Mr. Riley, what do you mean?"

"She knows that you are a good man and doesn't want to waste your time, that's why she rejected you early. She thinks she doesn't deserve you."

"But I've told her that I don't think I'm good enough for her!"

Drake shook his head, "That incident affected her deeply. She couldn't shake it off."

"Then what should I do?"

Drake looked at him, "I don't see anything you can do. If you guys are meant to be together, you will. But if not, you should give up on her and love someone else."

Someone else!

Paul didn't know if he could do it or not.

...

Barnett Group.

Hank reported to Sophia after he finished everything.

Sophia looked at it for a while and said, "Well done, Hank, you're really getting better."

At first, Hank had trouble doing these things, but it didn't take long for him to get used to the job.

"Thank you, Ms. Lawson. I will work harder!"

"What's your plan for the Christmas holiday?"

Hank didn't expect her to ask this question, so he quickly answered, "My family lives in the countryside, and I plan to go back to celebrate it with my family."

Sophia nodded, "Well, you should."

Hank always thought a lot, "But if the company needs me, I can stay here."

Sophia had been in charge of this company for merely two months. There were many problems in the company that had not been resolved. No one could predict what would happen during Christmas holiday.

Sophia smiled, "Why? Am I such a harsh boss that won't even let you go back for Christmas!"

"Well..."

"Don't worry, nothing will happen to the company. Since you came here, you have also seen that no one dares to fight against me. It's not that they don't want to, but they really don't dare."

Hank understood. Sophia had the Riley family, the Price family, and the Duncan family back her up in Sealand. And her background was even stronger in Pinkerton. No one would dare to act against her.

"And the case of Asco Group has taught everybody a lesson. They should know what to do and what not to do now. I just want to remind you to keep all the air tickets so you can ask for financial reimbursement when you come back.

And I bought some gifts for your family, take them."

So saying, Sophia took out all the things from under her desk.

There was a lot of stuff.

Hank knew what those were because he bought them but he didn't know they were for him.

"Ms. Lawson, this is so much for me to take!"

"It's for you. Just take it. This company will have to rely on you in the future. You know that I have many companies. I can't stay here every day. And you are the only person that I trust here."
