Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 349

Chapter 349 Holiday Without Drake

Bard became frustrated. "Why? Why do you do this to me? Am I an adopted child in this home?"

Sophia replied, "You are too unlucky, Bard."

All the Lawsons were amused.

Lifting a brow, Edwin added, "I agree. It only means you have bad luck."

Bard put down his phone and pounced on Edwin without hesitation.

The Lawsons burst into laughter again.

Bard could always amuse them easily.

When the message tone of Bard's phone sounded, he finally let go of Edwin and picked his phone up.

Seeing the money transferred by Sophia to him, he was overjoyed.

"Ha-ha... Sophia, you are the best. I love you, my dear sister."

Instead of pouncing on her, he showed his phone to other family members. "Look! Sophia wired some money to me. That's my lucky money. Do you have it? Humph!"

"Of course."

Charles also showed his phone to Bard.

So did Travis. "Me, too."

Edwin hurriedly picked up his phone and also saw the the money transferred by Sophia to him, laughing triumphantly.

"Sophia wired all of us the lucky money."

They also checked Laura's and Abbott's phones. All of them received it.

"Sophia..."

Bard looked at Sophia, looking pitiful.

Sophia chuckled, "Cheer up. Although I sent lucky money to everyone, I can guarantee you are the first one receiving it."

Her simple consolation made Bard complacent again.

That night, several times, Sophia wanted to ask Emma what Drake was doing, but she gave up the idea eventually.

Sophia didn't want to push him too hard if he stopped caring about her.

When it was almost midnight. Sophia played fireworks with her brothers, which was an essential program for them during the Christmas holidays.

They bought many fireworks.

"Whoa!"

They played fireworks every year, but each year, they felt excited. Sophia guessed it must be the feeling of being with family.

After returning to the house, Sophia noticed a message from Drake on her phone. "Merry Christmas!"

She was surprised he had made time to send her his wishes.

Therefore, Sophia replied, "Merry Christmas!"

She thought Drake would continue sending her messages, but he didn't. He didn't reply to her anymore.

Sophia decided to go to bed.

...

On Christmas Day, Sophia and her family stayed home as Sophia's grandmother had gone abroad with her uncle.

Besides, the Thomas, Warburg, and Greenspan families would pay a visit, so the Lawsons got up early to prepare.

It had been a family tradition for years. Whenever it was Christmas Day, the four families would gather together.

Once the guests arrived, the house became lively. It was a gathering for the young generation.

Chloe was the only child in the Thomas family. Helena had a younger sister, Gloria Warburg. Noah had a younger sister, Jessica Greenspan, and a younger brother, Dante Greenspan. Sometimes, their cousins also came over.

According to the Lawson family's tradition, men cooked in the kitchen, and women received the guests. Therefore, Laura and Sophia chatted with the guests in the living room.

Naturally, Sophia sat with Chloe and Helena.

"Sophia, did Drake give you gifts? Surprise us!"

Sophia had known they would ask such a question, but she couldn't fake it or lie to her best friends. Therefore, she answered, "If I tell you he only sent me a message with nothing else, will you believe it?"

"No way!" Chloe exclaimed in disbelief. "Even Bailey sent me a gift. Doesn't Drake love you to the moon and back? How come?"

Sophia showed her phone to them. "Do you think I'm lying to you?"

The two checked and saw the only message without anything.

"What's wrong with Drake?"

Shaking her head, Sophia replied, "Beats me."

Helena and Chloe exchanged glances.

Helena felt weird. She felt shy to send a gift to Travis but still expressed her best wishes to him.

In fact, Sophia didn't expect a costly gift but treasured the love and care from Drake behind the gift.

After all, she was from an affluent family. The gift might only be the same price as a meal.

"What happened to you and Drake, Sophia?" Chloe asked.
