Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 357

Chapter 357 Classmates Reunion

That evening, Sophia received a call from Chloe. "Where are you now, Sophia?" Chloe asked.

"What do you mean?"

"The classmate reunion. You forgot about it? No way!"

"I did, Chloe. Calm down. Will you attend it?"

"Of course. I want to see who has the guts to show off in my presence."

While they were at school, the students were pure-minded. However, after graduating and starting to work, all of them changed. Therefore, the classmate reunion wasn't only a gathering.

"It's too boring."

"Why? Sophia, if you don't go, I'm sure they'll slander you again in my presence. Hurry! Let's teach them a lesson tonight."

Sophia wasn't in the mood to attend it, but Chloe insisted and used hard and soft tactics. Finally, Sophia agreed.

She drove the least expensive car in her house, a Porsche, to keep a low profile.

After arriving at the appointed place, she passed the key to a valet.

Coincidentally, she heard the voices of the two women she had encountered the previous day.

One was named Lucy Cook, and the other was called Eliza Taylor.

Looking down their noses at Sophia, they mocked, "Sophia, where did you borrow the car from? Did you rent it? How much did you spend on one night? It must cost you a fortune."

Ignoring them, Sophia walked forward.

"Humph! Still so proud like we were in high school. She's pretending again, isn't she?"

"Of course. Men like this kind of woman. Believe me. A lot of men will confess to her tonight."

"Humph! So what? Gradually, they'll know she's just beautiful but shallow. She even doesn't have a good job. What's so good about her?"

They followed Sophia into the elevator. Coincidentally, they were the only three.

Lucy and Eliza couldn't tear their gazes off Sophia.

"Oops. What brands do you wear? You should have earned a lot of money. Why can't you afford a good outfit?"

A ghost of a smile touched Sophia's lips. Famous brands such as Hermes, LV, and Chanel might mean something to the ordinary ones, but they were nothing in her eyes.

A lot of high-end brands existed besides those brands. On the contrary, Sophia never fancied those well-known brands.

"Wait, Eliza. Your Hermes handbag should cost 50, 000 bucks, right?"

Eliza replied complacently, "Of course. It only costs me two months' salary.

"I guess it would cost her five months' salary."

Finally, the elevator stopped. Sophia walked out, exhaling. "Great. The air is fresh outside."

The two women followed her out. "What do you mean, Sophia?"

Sophia curled her lips into a smile. "I wonder if you eat night soil all the time. When you bark, it stinks."

Then she walked farther.

Suddenly, Lucy realized something. "Did... Did she imply we were dogs?"

"Seems so."

Lucy roared, "You are a mad dog, Sophia! So are your family."

Sophia suddenly stopped mid-step. When she looked back at the two women, they paused, shivering in fear.

Sophia walked towards them sternly. "I don't care how you slander me. However, you can never insult my family. Where do you work?"

The two women didn't know what was happening. However, her question made them triumphant again.

"I'm working at Thomas Group."

"I'm working with Greenspan Group."

The two felt honored to join those companies.

Sophia snorted, "You can stay home after the holiday."

She didn't want to slap them as they were not worth it. Therefore, she decided to cut off their incomes to teach them a lesson.

The two women followed her hurriedly. "Who do you think you are to stop us from going to work? Think you are the owner of the two organizations?"

"You are only a restaurant waitress. What's so proud of?"

While they verbally attacked Sophia, they arrived at the gathering place.

Therefore, all their classmates overheard Sophia working in a restaurant, wondering if she was a prostitute under a waitress' cover.

Instantly, they looked down on her. After all, she was a straight-A student at school but had become so filthy after graduation.

They faintly recalled she had gone abroad to study.

Suddenly, Chloe walked to Sophia. "What's wrong, Sophia? When did you become a restaurant waitress? Why don't I know?"

Sophia chuckled, "Well, someone is blind. It's not my fault."

Lucy snarled, "Who's blind? Mind your language, Sophia!"

With a smile on her lips, Sophia replied, "Aren't you blind? I had lunch with my family in a restaurant, but you insisted on thinking I worked there."

Eliza defended her friend, "Sophia, stop being so arrogant. How could you afford a meal there? Do you know how much it costs? Over 100, 000 bucks. Do you have THAT much money?"

Noticing other classmates looked at them, Lucy said ironically, "Of course, she could afford it. Just now, we saw her arriving in a Porsche. After all, the rental for one night is expensive."

'What? Did Sophia rent a Porsche to attend the gathering? She must want to show off!' others thought to themselves.

Chloe was enraged by them, but Sophia didn't care.

When Chloe wanted to retort upon them, Sophia pressed her hand to stop her.

"Sophia?"

"It's OK. After a dog bites me, I cannot bite back, can I?"

Chloe thought her words made sense.

Lucy understood her implication. "What did you say? How dare you!"

Chloe snorted with a triumphant smile, "It's a compliment. After all, you cannot even be compared to a dog."

"You!"

Suddenly, someone yelled, "Helena is here! Helena is here!"

They believed Helena was the most excellent student among them. After all, she was a superstar. Although they didn't pay much attention to the entertainment business, they felt honored to have such a classmate.

Therefore, all people rushed towards Helena.

"Hi, Helena. You are super busy. We thought you couldn't make it."

"Right. Helena, you've become more and more charming. You rock!"

"She's the real goddess. That woman is nothing compared to her."

Helena was late because the guests had just left her house. She was a superstar and the daughter of the Warburg family. No one dared stop her if she wanted to leave. However, her identity also made her the focus of the family gathering.
