Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 359

Chapter 359 Fightback

Sophia went to a corner.

Chloe was confused, pondering what Sophia was going to do.

When she followed Sophia, she found Sophia calling Travis.

"Travis, can you check if a woman named Julia Acosta is in your company?"

"Why, Sophia? Is she a spy?"

"Nah. If she's working there, fire her. She's my high school classmate. I don't like her."

Chloe thumbed up at Sophia.

Sophia ended the call and returned to the gathering place. The classmates were surrounding Julia.

Julia still spoke with a triumphant smile, "Right. I love working for Lawson Group. Alas... I'm not the only successful one in our class. Lucy and Eliza are working for Thomas Group and Greenspan Group, aren't they?"

Julia's words reminded Chloe and Noah, so they sent messages immediately.

Lucy pretended to be shy and said, "Well, I was too lucky. I tried to find a job in Thomas Group. I was prepared to accept the failure, but I made it, which I didn't expect."

Eliza also pretended to be modest, "Right. If you all tried hard, you might also enter these two companies."

"Stop being so modest. You two are competent. You will find outstanding boyfriends in the future, unlike someone who is weak and only trades sex for benefits. Sluts like her is poisoning the society."

Sophia still smiled in silence.

Others echoed in disdain, "Look! She's still smiling. Shame on her!"

Suddenly, Julia's phone rang. She saw a call from Lawson Group's personnel department.

Julia was excited and pressed her index finger on her lips to let others be quiet. "Sorry. My company's personnel department is calling. I guess I'll get promoted soon."

Others looked at her enviously.

To show off, Julia put the phone on speaker mode.

"Hello, is that Ms. Julia Acosta?"

"Yes, this is me. Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas."

Until then, Julia still smiled smugly.

Although Graeme had dumped her, she didn't think others knew it.

Right then, so many people were looking at her in envy, which made her feel proud.

"Here is the thing. Ms. Acosta, you don't need to return to work after the holiday."

The words were like a bombshell, taking the smile away from Julia's face.

Chloe looked at her in amusement, wondering why she still hadn't turned off the speaker mode. Otherwise, she would be more embarrassed later.

"What do you mean?"

"You are fired. Please don't come back to the company anymore. I've asked the finance department to get the final settlement of your salary and compensation. It'll be transferred to your bank account right away."

Although others looked envious, they were delighted after hearing Julia had been fired.

After all, Julia wasn't an excellent student in their class. Those classmates were shocked when hearing she had joined Lawson Group as they didn't think she deserved it.

Finally, she was fired by her company. Others felt excited with gloating smiles.

"Wait! Did I do something wrong so you wanted to fire me? Give me a reason."

"I heard you'd offended someone on the board of directors. But I don't know more details."

"Someone on the board of directors?"

Julia was baffled, trying to recall how.

"All right. I've passed the message on to you. Bye." The caller hung up.

Julia had been embarrassed in public earlier and still remembered the feelings. However, she was disgraced again, almost breaking down.

"Are you OK, Julia?"

"Calm down, Julia. You'll find a better job as you're so capable."

Although others consoled her, they couldn't hide their gloating smiles.

Meanwhile, Lucy and Eliza also received calls. They were told they had been fired because of offending someone on the board of directors.

Usually, they had no chance to meet the directors at all. How could they have offended them?

Right then, others looked over at Sophia and her friends, wondering if they had done something behind it.

After all, some noticed Sophia had made a call. However, most of them doubted. Sophia and her friends didn't seem to be bigwigs. How could they make those companies fire the three women so easily with just a phone call?

While others were still wondering, a video was projected on the huge screen in the hall. All people subconsciously looked over.

-"Do you notice? Her clothes are knockoffs!"

-"TSK. She must save the money for a long time to buy them!"

...

-"Are the clothes you bought for me... knockoffs?"

-"Of course not. I love you so much. And my family is rich. I can afford all the clothes of this brand for you, let alone one."

-"Graeme says they are real. And you guys had better not make a joke of us. Now you get a slap in the face. Do you feel satisfied?"

...

-"Julia, who do you think you are? You think I would buy you real ones simply because you slept with me for several times? Wake up! You should feel honored enough that I'm willing to hang out with you for a few days!"

-"What did you say?"

-"I said, you should feel honored enough that I'm willing to hang out with you!"

...

This long video gave Julia a slap in the face.

Suddenly, she shouted at Sophia ferociously, "Sophia! How dare you play this video! It's all fake. You'd better stop slandering me!"

With a smile, Sophia retorted, "I never wanted to play it in public, but you'd gone too far. You provoked me first. Forgotten?"

"Think you can keep your dignity and pride 'cause our classmates didn't know what had happened in Sealand?"

"How ridiculous! You are the real shame! I don't mind exposing your true color."

The classmates looked at Julia weirdly at first, and then, their gazes were full of scorn.

"Gee! I didn't expect Julia to be such a woman."

"How disgusting!"

"We don't know the wealthy ones like Graeme Frost. If we did, we would expose her long ago."

"Julia, your true color has been exposed. Did Lawson Group fire you because of this matter?"
