Chapter 364 Watch Over Him

"Shut up! If you call my mother Emma again, I'll kick you out!" Drake threatened him.

Emma came over and said, "Drake, let him go."

"Mom, who is he? What happened? He saved you?"

Drake had an intuition that there seemed to be something off about this man. He would kill him if he found that this man had been trying to hurt his mother.

"Put him down first!"

"No!"

Drake had always been a stubborn man who believed in his own judgment.

"I said, put him down!" Emma seemed to be a bit angry.

Drake had never seen her like this, and for a moment, he didn't know what to do. But he knew he couldn't let the man go so easily.

Sophia came over and said softly, "Drake, put him down first. Since we are all here, he couldn't hurt Ms. Glass."

Drake put him down, and warned him with his glare, "Who are you and what do you want?"

Daniel Stewart hurriedly hid behind Emma, with his hands on Emma's shoulders. It seemed that he was scared of Drake. He said, "Emma, your son is a scary man!"

Drake looked at Daniel's hands on Emma's shoulders, feeling disgusted.

Just as he wanted to say something, Emma frowned, "Daniel, get your hands off of me."

Daniel did not do so, but still looked at Drake timidly, "No! He might kill me!"

"If you don't let go, he might actually kill you!" Emma warned.

Daniel could only put his hands down.

"Come out. We can talk outside!" Emma said and left the room.

Daniel was scared of Drake and immediately followed Emma out. He was so close to her.

Drake had been staring at the two. He looked at Daniel with a horrible look in his eyes as if he wanted to skin him alive.

Drake, Aria and Sophia stood in the living room that was shrouded in a dead silence. They all stared at Emma and Daniel.

They didn't know what to say. After a while, they saw Daniel leave.

When Emma came back, Drake was about to say something when he was stopped by Sophia. She gave him a look, walked to Emma and said, "Ms. Glass, who was that and what has happened?"

"It happened yesterday." Emma knew that Drake wanted to know it and she had nothing to hide, "After I went out yesterday, I met several men who wanted to hurt me and Daniel saved me."

Drake asked suspiciously, "How did he know where we live?"

"It happened near our house. He was hurt when he was saving me, so I took him here to treat his wounds for him."

"He recovered so soon?" Drake looked sullen.

Emma wasn't intimidated at all by her own son, "His arm got injured, not his face."

"So, what did he want to talk to you about today?"

"He just came to tell me that those guys have been put in prison, and they have confessed they attempted to sexually assault and blackmail me."

Sophia was frowning.

"Mom, you are so wise a woman. Have you thought this might be a trap?"

Emma thought about it carefully, "I did have thought of it, but I couldn't figure it out. If he came with a purpose, what would it be?"

She really couldn't figure it out, let alone Sophia, Drake and Aria.

"In a word, Ms. Glass, you have to stay away from him. Something's wrong with him."

"Got it!"

Emma nodded her head.

Drake then called Paul and asked him to investigate Daniel and the criminals. Soon, he got the feedback. The criminals had killed themselves in jail and Paul couldn't find anything special about Daniel. It seemed that Daniel was just an ordinary person.

Paul asked strangely, "Mr. Riley, maybe you've got it wrong. Maybe it was really just a coincidence."

"Keep investigating him! If you can't find anything wrong with him, get someone to watch him closely!"

Drake absolutely did not believe Daniel was just an ordinary man. He might be before, but not now for sure.

"Yes, Mr. Riley!"

Sophia had gone to the company. Hank had helped her a lot in work after he came back to work.

Sophia said with a smile, "You seem energetic."

"When I went home, you gave me so many gifts to bring home. Moreover, you paid for the round-trip air tickets. My family is grateful to you. They said it was an honor that I could work for you and told me to work harder."

Sophia knew that Hank's family were all kind and grateful people. Back then, Hank was too eager to climb the career ladder and almost went the wrong way.

Daniel didn't understand. "You care about his opinions that much? I don't think it's necessary. He's a grown man now and there's nothing weird between us. I just think we can be friends and hang out and talk from time to time. Why do you keep rejecting me?"

Emma got a headache and looked at him, "Daniel, I know what you are thinking but you'd better give up. There's a huge age difference between us and..."

Before she could finish, Daniel had grabbed her hand. "Emma, I am happy you know what I want. If the age gap is what you are worried about, I want you to know that I don't mind it or other people's opinions. Do others' opinions really matter? All I know is that I fell for you the moment I saw you!"
