Chapter 378 Why Am I Feeling Uncomfortable with Their Breakup?

Sophia was well aware that if her brother would've been dead now without Noah.

"I know you must hurt a lot."

To suffer so much burning pain was unbearable for anyone.

Noah looked at her in surprise. Sophia was the only one that had empathy for him. Even his mom could not do it.

But Sophia did.

"Yep... it hurt a lot!" Noah had been enduring the pain. Actually, the reason why he was so impatient was that the burning and prickling pain was torturing him. "But I felt much better with you by my side."

"Don't say that. I'm not your painkiller."

"For me, you are even more effective than painkillers. Do you know how much I feared that I won't be able to see you again? Do you know how heavy a blow that means for me?"

Sophia thought about his words. There was something he must know.

"Right. But Noah, you should know that you shouldn't do such dangerous things for me. I hope you could just tell my brother or me the next time."

She was trying to be as euphemistic as possible, but Noah got most of her points.

After a long while, he said, "Sophia, am I interfering with your life?"

Actually, there was the same medicine in her company, but she dared not to use it on Noah. She was worried that Mrs. Greenspan might be furious.

Noah looked at her unbelievably, "You, you are going to stay with me? You're not going to go back? Is Drake okay with that?"

"Noah, I have broken up with him."

The news shocked Noah even more, "How did you break up?"

"Well, you just wake up. You should have a rest now."

Sophia exhaled, "Do you feel happy about it?"

Noah couldn't help thinking about what happened between Sophia and Drake. He was truly happy that they broke up. But it was also annoying they broke up simply for this reason.

When Bard knew Noah woke up, he came to visit him as well.

Bard was the same age as Noah. Since Noah had a crush on Sophia, he always visited the Lawsons, and that was why he was so close to Bard.

Noah let out a bitter smile, "I know my motive might be selfish. But if I could make Sophia spend some time with me, I would do anything. Even death sounds worthy."

Bard talked with Noah for a while before leaving.

When Mrs. Greenspan came over, Sophia avoided to see her. Mrs. Greenspan could do whatever she liked, but she would not.

Even if Mrs. Greenspan was talking bad of her behind her back, Sophia could act like it never happened, so that Noah wouldn't have to watch them fight against each other, which would only annoy him more.
