Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 381

Chapter 381 Someone Wants Them to Break up

Noah yelled again, "I said, give me. Are you deaf?"

Mrs. Greenspan walked over, "Noah..."

"Mom, you are only making things worse for me. Why don't you go with Gloria? I don't want to see you either."

He was truly enraged.

Sophia did nothing wrong the whole time. It was not that she didn't want to take care of him. They wouldn't let her. They wouldn't even let her leave to deal with her job. They were just giving her a hard time on purpose.

Mrs. Greenspan couldn't believe it, "What are you saying?"

"Mom, I'm a grown-up. I can make my own decision. What you've done here is really making me feel uncomfortable, which will only slow down my recovery. So, it'll be better if you and Gloria leave."

He was asking her to leave.

Gloria, who hadn't left yet, walked over and said in anger, "Noah, how could you say that to Mrs. Greenspan, she..."

"Shut up." Noah scolded her, "Haven't you realized it? It was all because of you. Of course I know what type of person Sophia is. It's you who keep taking bad about her in front of my mother. You are truly vicious. And I can guarantee you that I will never marry you."

"How dare you."

Gloria dropped the bag and went out crying.

Mrs. Greenspan said in a worried tone, "Did I ever teach you to break a girl's heart? We are in another country now. Gloria barely knows anyone here. What if something happens to her?"

"She asks for it."

Noah was not being cold-blooded. He had asked her to leave. He had said bad things to force her to leave. But she just wouldn't leave him alone. Who was to blame?

The room eventually went quiet. Noah wanted to text Sophia, apologize to her, and hoped that she could drop by.

But he couldn't move.

Luckily, the nurse came in before long. Noah asked her for help. He began to expect when Sophia would come.

Soon, the door opened, and Sophia walked in. She picked up the bags on the floor and set them on the table beside his bed.

"Sophia?"

Noah smiled like a child.

"Do you want to eat anything?"

"Yeah."

While Sophia was trying to get something for him to eat, Noah kept staring at her. He had imagined more than once about their living together.

He never thought it would become true one day.

When Sophia was done, she came close to him to feed him.

During this time, Noah never shifted his attention.

"Sophia, if it weren't for the injury, you wouldn't be here to look after me, right?"

"Then you would still be a healthy man. Why would you need others to look after you?"

Noah smiled, "Right, why would a healthy man need somebody else's caring?"

"Did anyone tell you something happened to Bard's company?"

If Sophia didn't mention it, he had forgotten it.

"Check my phone."

She grabbed his phone.

"The password is your birthday."

Sophia said nothing and unlocked the phone.

"There's a message. Check it."

Sophia looked through the inbox carefully, but she didn't find it.

But she believed Noah didn't lie to her.

"No? I didn't delete it." Though Noah couldn't see the screen, he could tell what was wrong from Sophia's reactions.

Sophia put his phone down, "I believe you. I suppose someone had planted some apps in your phone. He sent you the message first and then deleted it without you noticing."

Noah frowned, "You think someone did it on purpose?"

Sophia had no intention to hide anything from him. She nodded.

"Why would someone do this?"

She kept silent.

Noah was not a fool. He quickly understood, "To separate you and Drake?"

She nodded.

"So, it's possible that one of the Rileys did it? And Olivia is the most likely one?" Thinking of that, he shook his head, "No, I don't think she would do something extreme like this."

"I didn't believe it either. But since she couldn't figure out any way to directly fight against Drake and me, she would be very likely to plot against who's close to me."

"Roman's hopeless and it's impossible for me to marry her son. Naturally, she won't let me marry Drake. Though I don't have any proof, I can't think of anyone else except her."

Noah understood the only way to cause trouble between them was to make him injured. But a mere injury was not enough to break them, so Sophia's brother had to be part of the plan.

Noah didn't think much when he received the message. The first thought that came to his mind was that he needed to help Sophia's brother out. So, he went there and fell into the trap.

"Sophia, I..."

Realizing the problem, Noah was quite guilty.

"Never mind. As long as you are all right."

"But I'm the reason why you and Drake broke up."

"Even if it was not you, she would find some other ways to break us up."

Though it was true they broke up for him.

After a long pause, Noah opened his mouth, "If you could think of that, does it mean Drake could also think of it?"

Sophia thought about it. She heard nothing from him, but he was so smart. He should be able to think of that.

"Anyway, you two should get back together. I don't want you to break up for me. I..."

Sophia stopped him, "Noah, the reason why I told you about it is not to make you worry. I just wanted to tell you that you should be careful not to be manipulated again like this. It's okay that we broke up. It's not a big deal. You don't have to feel sorry for that."

Noah looked at her, "It's not a big deal? Is it true?"

Though Sophia didn't appear to be heartbroken, he knew what was going on in her mind after knowing her for so many year.

She barely smiled. Even if she smiled, she didn't mean it.

She was like a living dead. Didn't she know that?

"It's okay."

She left before Mrs. Greenspan and Gloria came back. After all, she was not interested in getting tangled with them.

The second day she stayed in Bard's ward, the Lawsons finally came.

Abbott, Laura, Travis, Charles, and Edwin were all here. They couldn't make it earlier, for Charles needed to go through a complicated vetting process before he could go abroad. Besides, Edwin also needed to put aside a lot of work before he could squeeze the time out.
