Revenge On My First Love novel Chapter 386

Chapter 386 Setting off for Sealand

Soon, she realized Drake had misunderstood.

However, she didn't intend to explain. They couldn't be together anyway.

"How about you, Mr. Riley? Married?"

Drake noticed she hadn't answered his question, thinking she was unwilling to discuss it with him.

"I..."

Suddenly, a woman trotted over and took his arm. "Drake, it's done. We can leave now."

Sophia had never seen her before.

The woman had curly hair with a special aura, looking like a foreigner. She seemed to see Sophia and asked, "Drake, is she your acquaintance?"

'Acquaintance?'

Drake and Sophia used to be intimate. However, they had become strangers who were familiar with each other.

"Ehn," Drake answered flatly.

"I'm busy. See you, Ms. Lawson," he bid Sophia farewell.

The way he addressed her raised a sharp pang in her heart. Sophia tried to keep calm.

She should be glad to re-encounter him and exchange a few words. She couldn't expect more, could she?

"OK. See you when I see you, Mr. Riley."

Drake was taken aback. "See you when I see you."

They turned in different directions.

They were like on a cross. Once they met, they were destined to part. They parted again.

No one knew how they felt.

Drake strode forward and shook off the woman's hands. "Don't try my patience, Molly! If it happens again, you're so fired!"

Molly looked annoyed. She was his new secretary hired by the Old Riley and the candidate for Drake's future wife. She didn't think she had done anything wrong.

"Drake, you can never be with Ms. Lawson."

"Save your reminder!"

Drake sat in the car and was about to leave.

Molly didn't expect him to get angry. She had known Sophia long ago, as the Old Riley reminded her not to care about Drake's love for Sophia if she wanted to become his wife.

Earlier, Molly had plenty of confidence. However, after she witnessed their meeting, she panicked. She had been Drake's secretary for months but had never seen him look at any other woman in that way.

Molly reminded herself to calm down. Drake had left in his car without letting her sit in.

Therefore, she hailed a cab to follow him.

On the other side, Sophia filled the water jug with water but didn't turn off the tap when the water overflew. A staff member gingerly reminded her, and she returned to her senses.

"Sorry. I'm too careless."

No one knew what had happened to Sophia. After all, she was the owner, so the staff member cleaned the water stain without any complaints.

After filling the water jug, Sophia returned to find Noah and Bonnie. She didn't expect to behave so abnormally when she re-encountered Drake.

She also thought of that woman, who looked completely different from her. However, when she stood by Drake, she matched him.

Two years had passed since they broke up. It was natural for Drake to move on and date another woman.

Roman had been sent to a mental hospital. The Old Riley would never allow Drake to not produce offspring. Besides, Drake couldn't marry her at all. Sophia could understand he had found a new girlfriend.

Noah called Sophia several times, but she was still absentminded. Then he flicked his hand in front of her eyes.

"Sophia? Sophia?"

Finally, Sophia returned to her senses, looking at him.

"What happened, Sophia? You looked bothered."

"Nothing. Can you feed Bonnie some water?"

"Are you really OK?"

Noah saw her keep silent before, but unlike usual, she looked soulless now.

"Ehn. I'm fine."

Seeing she return to normal, Noah took over the water jug and fed Bonnie some water.

Suddenly, Sophia's phone rang. Chloe was calling.

"Sophia, I'm getting married soon. When will you come to Sealand?"

"Bonnie has never parted from me since she was born. I'm afraid she'll look for me. That's why I delayed."

"Why don't you bring her with you? You always refuse me."

"I don't want... him to see her."

Just now, Sophia wondered if Drake had studied Bonnie carefully. If he had, he would have recognized it was his daughter.

"Alas... Are you planning to hid it from him all your life?"

Sophia also asked herself such a question.

Then she thought about the woman standing by Drake earlier. He would soon get married, have a new family, and have other children. Sophia didn't think it mattered if she kept the secret.

"Right. I won't tell him."

"You... Alas... When will you arrive? You won't come here until my wedding day, will you? If you did, I would be pissed!"

Sophia chuckled. "I'll go to Sealand tomorrow."

"Seriously? If you lied to me, I would teach you a lesson."

Sophia delayed her trip to Sealand for another reason -- she didn't want to meet Drake. She knew she would definitely reencounter him at Chloe's wedding.

She hadn't got ready to meet him.

However, they re-encountered today while she still wasn't ready. Maybe that was their destiny.

After spending the afternoon in Happy Fair, Noah returned home.

Sophia said to her daughter, "Bonnie, Chloe is getting married soon. She invited Mommy to Sealand. Remember?"

Bonnie nodded. "I remember, Mommy. When will you leave?"

"Tomorrow. Can you stay with Grandpa and Grandma for a few days?"

Raising her lovely face, Bonnie looked up at her. "Mommy, why can't I go to Chloe's wedding?"

Sophia answered after a moment of silence, "Chloe will hold her wedding in Pinkerton again. I'll take you there. It's a long journey to Sealand. You are too little. I won't take you with me. OK?"

Bonnie looked disappointed. However, she was always sensible and obedient, so she nodded her agreement.

"I see, Mommy. Remember to miss me every day. Send the video clips to me."

"No problem."

Sophia held her tightly.
