Mr. Barnett, who organized the dinner, got up and greeted her warmly.

Everyone burst into laughter upon hearing that.

Mr. Barnett echoed. "That's right, we came ahead of time!"

Under Mr. Barnett's arrangement, Sophia sat down beside Mr. Nash after greeting them all politely.

Mr. Barnett asked the waiter to serve the food.

When Mr. Barnett was preparing wine for everyone, Sophia said apologetically, "I'm sorry, gentlemen. I hate to say that, but I have a bad stomach and I am in therapy for that. So, I am afraid I can't tonight."

These people knew that Sophia wasn't against alcohol. Some of them drank with her.

So Sophia's words couldn't be an excuse.

Mr. Barnett didn't try to persuade her. He called the waiter, "Since she can't drink alcohol, please bring up some juice or something!"

Sophia hurriedly added, "Some plain water will be perfect, thank you!"

The waiter didn't know what to do for a moment.

Mr. Barnett said. "Just do what Ms. Lawson said!"

The waiter went to prepare the water.

After a while, the water was delivered, and the waiter helped to pour it.

Mr. Barnett smiled. "Ms. Lawson, since you can't drink today, you have to make it up next time. We'll all remember that!"

Sophia said calmly. "Not bad, thank you, Mr. Barnett!"

Seeing nothing usual from her eyes, Mr. Barnett breathed a sigh of relief.
