Savage Mates novel Chapter 47

Chapter Forty Seven Make me forget
I looked out the window, trying to think about what I could tell him, “What do you want to know?”
“Anything you want to tell me? Everything, you’re mine kitten and I want to know it all.” Jason said, his thumb stroked over my fingers. “Let’s start off with your job?”
“My job, it’s just a boring office job. You know, something to pay the rent.” I shrugged.
“So if you found something better, you’d quit tomorrow?” He asked.
I thought about his words, it was a strange question. “I don’t know, I like where I work. If I quit, I would have to learn a whole new office and all the people in it.”
“So even though it’s boring, you like it? And the people you work with, you like them?”
“I guess I do. I like working, which I know is a strange thing to heat. But, I’ve been working since I was sixteen. I can’t imagine not working.” I was rambling and I knew it, but this was one of those easy questions.
“That’s good. Tlike to be busy, too.” Jason said and I looked over at him. He gripped the steering wheel with one hand while his other hand held mine. I took my time to study the tattoos on his hands. The marks were bold lines, they looked familiar but I couldn’ t quite place where they were from.
“Can I, can ask you a question?” I asked, worrying the inside of my cheek with my teeth.
“Sure, kitten. Anything you want to know, just ask.” Jason said, looking away from the road. His eyes met mine and the lights from his dash played over his face. Gray eyes sparkled and I realized that he liked that I was asking him a question.
It made me want to ask him more questions to see him smile the way that he was now.
“What do you do, I mean besides being all grrr like Travis says?”
“Well, the grrr thing that he mentions is being an alpha. I lead my pack, protect them when they need me.” His touch felt so good against my wrist. I moved my hand into my lap, letting my fingers trace over his long fingers. “As for my job, well, I have a tattoo parlor.”
I could see it. Him hunched over a person, black gloves on his long fingers, a tattoo gun in his hand at the ready. Ink all set out in little cups on a tray. That penetrating gaze of his searing into someone’s flesh as he pulled back the white sheet getting ready to tattoo them. Just thinking about him tattooing my skin made my pulse race.
“That’s neat. Do you, um, do you like it?” I asked, tracing the tattoos on his knuckles.
“I do. If I wasn’t the alpha, I would do it full time.” Jason said, looking away from me and back at the road. “For now, it’s just something I get to do as a hobby.”
“And these tattoos? What do they mean?” I asked, dragging my fingers over his knuckles to trace the lines.
“These?” He flexed his fingers.
“Yes.”
“These are runes of protection and blessings to the goddess.” He said, moving his hand so that he gripped my thigh. “I thought I was the one asking questions.”
“Sorry, I’m just curious.” My face felt warm and I wondered if I had asked him too much.
“Don’t apologize, I’m just kidding. There are still a lot of things that I want to know about you. Why were you in Savage tonight?”
“My friend and I went for drinks after I was rejected/dumped by my boyfriend.” I said, watching his hand as it moved further up my thigh.
“Mmm, Well, I’d say I’m sorry about the break up. But I’m glad it led you to me. Strange that he rejected you.“ Jason said, guiding the SUV off of the main road into a wooded road that I would have missed, “Was he a shifter?”
* Travis and Ryan seem to think so. If he is, I didn’t know about it.” I squirmed in my seat. All I could think about was how his hand felt on my thigh. How he hadn’t let me come earlier, I was still so turned on.
I didn’t want to think about Jake right now. Sure, l’hadn’t been in love with him. But it still hurt all the same. I had cared about him and then to see him with that woman who called herself more than a girlfriend, Like she was somehow more than I was,
“Tillie, what’s wrong?” Jason asked, his hand squeezing my thigh,
“Nothing, I was just thinking and that’s not something I’m ready to do right now.” I confided. I wasn’t ready to think about it, to feel sad about everything. We weren’t in love and I knew that I didn’t make this all hurt less.
“Want me to take your mind off of it?” He asked, pulling his hand away from mine.
“Yeah, make me forget.” I swallowed hard, watching him reach over and shift his seat back so that he was leaning back from the steering wheel. He shifted his hips, reclining in the leather seat before he pulled the SUV over and put it into park.
Jason pressed the button on his seatbelt, letting it slip over his chest before looking back at me. “Come here, kitten. Show me what a good girl you can be.”
I undid my seatbelt, pulling the metal clasp to the side. He wanted me to show him how good I could be? I looked out the windows, I wasn’t sure where we were but it was dark and trees blocked my view of anything else. “What if we’re caught? We’re on the side of the road? We could get into trouble?”
“We’re on pack lands. No one will say anything.” He brought his hand up to tangle his fingers through my hair. Giving it a sharp tug that made me gasp. “Come here.”
Trested my hand on the center console. Bringing my legs up and into the seat. His lips pressed into mine and I moved my other hand down his body. When I reached the waistband to his slacks, unbuttoned them, pulling the zipper down to free his hard cock.
