Savage Mates novel Chapter 53

Chapter Filty Three Touning the house
Rvan Jason, and I walked down the hallway and I thought about Ryan’s words from earlier. That I wouldn’t believe them until I saw them shift for myself. His hand was in mine and we walked a few steps behind Jason Letting him show me their home.
He wasn’t wrong
I wanted to believe what they told me It just sounded like something out of a fantasy, so crazy that it couldn’t be real.
Wolf shifters
Fated mates
None of it sounded real. As much as I wanted to believe them, I still struggled with accepting it. Sure, I had seen Mira but it could have been a trick of the lighting that made her eyes look like that Not that she was an actual werewolf.
We turned the corner, walking into the foyer of the house. A staircase dominated the room, leading up to the first floor. Pictures hung on the walls of people I didn’t know. Families grouped together and smiling at the person behind the camera. It made this house feel like a home The dark wood floor was polished until it gleamed and lights hung from the ceiling. The stained glass casting dark green and pink light over the ceiling.
This is the foyer,” Jason said, letting me look around the room. “And those are pack members and their families.” He gestured to the photos that I was looking at.
,
“So all these people are like Mira and you guys?” I asked, looking at a family. A dark haired couple looked lovingly at each other, three little boys stood around them with wide happy smiles. It was the kind of photo that I wanted to take one day when I had a family
How would it look with all of us there? Travis, Ryan, Jason, and I and any kids we might have?
Would they have eyes like Ryan’s deep and blue, like the ocean’s waves? Or would they have Travis’ teasing smile? Or maybe they would have Jason’s blonde locks that I was starting to realize looked slightly messy, no matter how many times he tried to smooth back his hair?
“Some are human like you, mated into the pack. But yes, most are shifters.” Jason said, stopping beside me.
*And the children?”
“Most of them shift around puberty. If their beast is strong, they shift sooner.” Jason said.
“What about the two of you?” I asked, looking away from the photos towards Ryan. “When did you shift?”
“When I was thirteen. Jason had already been shifting since he was ten, but we knew his beast was going to be strong.” Ryan said, looking away from me and over at Jason
“How did you know?”
“His dad was an alpha. It follows the bloodlines. Travis is one too, but he chooses not to lead.”
I looked over at Jason, wondering if I would get to meet his parents. If they would like me? I had a feeling that they might not. I mean I was with him and two other men. I didn’t think that would make anyone happy about me being with their sons.
Then again, these men were unlike anyone I had ever met before.
Jason started walking away from us and I ler Ryan pull me after him. He walked a bit further down a hallway before pushing open two double doors The room held a large television and several consoles sat on shelves in front of it Games were stacked beneath and around the gaming systems
Two teenagers were sprawled on the large denim couch in front of the television watching the latest Marvel movie They both looked over at me and I could see an almost glow in their eyes. It was the same type of glow that Ryan and Jason had
A lew more needs popped up from the floor and I realized that more leenagers had been laying in front of the couch on large Noor pillowsTheir hushed wtuspers made Jason smile before he raised his hand to them. “No worries guys, we’re not stopping the mone. Just showing Tolle wound”
Tillie?* a girl with blue haut asked as she climbed up off the floor and walked around the couch She had an oversized hooche and leggings, her hair was pulled krito a messy ponytail
“My mate.’ Jason said, this is switching into a smile
“Congratulatione alpha, but why is Ryan holding her hand? The gut asked, her yee moving between Janon, Ryall, and me
“She’s my mate too. Tara.”
“Cool, I guess that means a bigger party.” She said before moving back to the couch and flopping back down beside the boys.
“Something like that. This is where a lot of the pack likes to come to game or watch movies. We’ve also got several computers set up if anyone needs to go online.” Jason gestured over to the three desks that sat against the far wall.
“Party?” I asked. The room looked neat and like it would be a great place to relax, but I wasn’t interested in that.
“Mating ceremonies are a big deal,” Ryan said, guiding me back into the hallway. Jason shut the door as the teens resumed their movie. “We have one every time a pack member finds their mate. It’s kind of like a wedding.”
“How will that work?”
“Well, this will be a big one because Jason is the alpha. So lots of music, food, and plenty of heartbroken women.” Ryan chuckled as we made our way over to the stairs.
“Heartbroken women?” That seemed like a strange thing to have at a party. I didn’t want to think about a wedding. It was too soon and I had only just met them. We may have already been mated, but marriage wasn’t something that I was ready for yet.
“Mmm, the alpha and his beta being off the market. Maddison is probably drowning her sorrows right now with all of her friends.”
“Please, they’ll be a line of people just for you.“ Jason said, shaking his head. We stopped on the first floor and he pointed down a hallway. “The next floors are filled with bedrooms. If you’d like, I can take you to mine so you can get cleaned up in private.”
My mind was still reeling from everything they had said, but a hot shower sounded like heaven. “I could use a shower.”
“I don’t know,” Ryan said, untangling our fingers and wrapping his arm around my waist to pull me closer. “I like you smelling like us, baby girl. It lets everyone know you are ours.”
