“Christina, what makes you think like that? Things are not what you think! It’s a good thing for us if she’s the daughter of the Nelson family. As long as she flies up into the branches, we Wilson family will be the great benefactor of the Nelson family. We can benefit from it and become distinguished personages!”

“No!” Christina retreated, and covered her ears. “You know nothing! You never give me enough allowance! Even when you gave me my sister’s money last time, it wasn’t enough! Meanwhile, Charlotte was in an abyss of suffering. Manfred arrived the place Yanis referred soon after she called.

“She’s not here?” Manfred asked in a cold face.

Yanis was too anxious and about to cry. “I have searched everywhere and couldn’t find her. She was here when I called you, then she was gone. I couldn’t find her…I don’know where she is… I’m sorry I lost her. If anything happened to her, I’d be… I won’t forgive myself.”

Manfred took a look at Yanis, her eyes were red and her tears was about to fall out. He thought that she must had been too nervous, so he didn’t blame her, just said in a soft voice, “Calm down. It’s no use for worrying now. Our immediate concern is to find her. You two are close friends. You need to calm down first and think about whether there’s somewhere she might possibly go?”

“Somewhere she might possibly go?”

That’s the problem. Although Yanis was close to Charlotte, they knew each other only for a short time. She didn’t know much about Charlotte at all.

As for the places she would go, she really had no idea.

It might be Diana who truly knew about Charlotte. In spite of her bad personality, she had been disguising herself for so many years, she should know something about Charlotte.

It’d better come and ask her.

Mandfred saw Yanis frowned, he guessed that she might not have thought of something. He thought for a while and said gently, “Don’t worry. I’ve sent people to come over. They will scouting the area and report to me as soon as they get any information.

Yanis looked at Manfred and said thankfully, “Thank you, Mr. Manfred. Fortunately you’re here, otherwise I don’t know what to do.”

“Let’s search around here and don’t miss one single corner.”

They split up soon after. Yanis thought what Manfred said make sense. She didn’t look at the corners before. If she searches the corners this time, does it mean she’ll be able to find Charlotte?

She raised hope again and searched for Charlotte along the path.

After Manfred walked a few steps, his phone rang. He picked up, “How’s it going?”

“Mr. Manfred, we have searched around here according to your instruction. But l think you should check the surveillance if possible.” Answered Georgia.

Manfred frowned when he heard what Georgia said. “She just disappeared for less than one hour, it’s useless to check the surveillance. Besides, there are some monitoring blind spots. Send some more people to search the corners, and of course don’t give up asking the shopowners along the way. Come back to me as soon as you get anything.” Said Manfred.

“Got it.” Said Georgia. After hanging up the phone, Manfred looked around, some emotions in his mind were triggered.

Charlotte, you better be OK.

Didn’t know how long it had been, Manfred had not found Charlotte. Nothing happened to the phone. He couldn’t stay calm as usual this time.

Manfred stopped, could not help but took out the phone and call Yanis.

Although he knew that Yanis would definitely call him if she had found Charlotte, there was still a feeling that she had found Charlotte before she could call him.

Yanis was thrilled receiving the call from Manfred, “Mr. Manfred, have you found Charlotte?”

Manfred knew at once she hadn’t found Charlotte too.

“You didn’t find her either?” Yanis knew that he had not find Charlotte when he said nothing. She almost cry, “What should we do? So many people looking for her and got nothing? Where would she go? Mr. Manfred…It’s my fault I didn’t take care of her.”

For the first time Yanis lost her temper. Manfred was upset too. When he saw Yanis acted like that, he suddenly didn’t know what to say to comfort her. He was also burning with anxious for Charlotte was still missing.

Mandfred look around, compressed his thin lips, and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll find her, I promise.”

Then he hang up the phone.

He kept going and searching, he asked a housewife in the neighborhood for any information.

“Excuse me, have you seen a girl…” Manfred simply described the clothes Charlotte wore which Yanis told him, and described the facial features of Charlotte to the housewife.

The woman listened to Manfred and then blinked her eyes, looked like she had no idea. Manfred sighed and thought he couldn’t get nothing out of that woman. But she said to Manfred all of a sudden, “Ah, you are looking for the girl in a white dress! I just saw her!”

Manfred’s complexion changed, “You saw her? Where is she?”

“ I saw…she got in a car, a fancy car!”

“She got in a car?” Mandfred frowned. And it was a fancy car not some taxi? Whose car would it be?

His face changed again.
