Second Marriage novel Chapter 329

"Excuse me again, does that car have any other features besides good-looking? For example... the license plate number..." Manfred still asked the old lady in front of him, although he had no hope for her memory.

Yet he still hoped to get more clues.

She took a close look at him, "Why are you asking so much? I think that girl got in the car voluntarily! What do you want to do?" She said.

Voluntarily? Manfred thought for a while, and he considered the one from the car should be somebody Charlotte knew.

It was just... who else did she know?

"Thank you. I am her friend. We are all anxious when we lost contact with her all of a sudden. We’ve been looking for her around here for a long time."

"I see... I forgot the license plate number, but I remember that the car was black..."

With a sign from his heart, he shouldn't have had any hopes for the old lady ahead of him. How many black cars in B City? The answer is numerous.

"Thank you, I'm leaving now."

He had a call with Yanis to tell her about this, and asked her if Charlotte knew anyone else here, so that he could find some clues among these people.

After hearing the news, Yanis felt a little relieved, but immediately she was puzzled. "The black car? Are you sure that she got in the car voluntarily?"

"I am not sure." Manfred was showing a poker face and said, "If the old lady was telling the truth, and her eyes didn’t deceive her, Charlotte should not have been forced to get in the car."

After hearing his words, Yanis was silent for a while, and nodded in agreement, "That’s right, if she was forced to get in the car, she would definitely struggle. But since the old lady said that she got in the car voluntarily, she might be safe at the moment. But I am still worried because she looked a little scary before. Mr. Manfred, please, I want to see her safe and sound with my own eyes."

"You can go back home now. I will keep sending people to look for her, and keep you informed."

"Okay then."

After hanging up the phone, she was still concerned for Charlotte. She was trying to reach Charlotte by phone but can't get through. In desperation, she could only send a text message to Charlotte, and told Charlotte to contact her if she was okay. Then Yanis put her phone away and went home.

*

Charlotte leaned on the soft sofa, and the servant offered a cup of hot tea to her, "Ms., would you like a cup of tea?"

She was unwilling to move, and not to mention that she didn't have the strength to hold it. Yet she still shook her head politely, "No, thanks." She said in a voice as soft as a whisper.

"I see, just leave her alone." Megan smiled and signaled that the servant could leave at the moment. The servant sighed in relief and left quickly. She was really afraid that Megan would let her continue to serve Charlotte. Although Charlotte looked nice and polite, she was not able to take care of depressed person like her.”

Megan stepped in and stood in front of Charlotte. She couldn't help but smile while seeing Charlotte with an anxious look, "What on earth is bringing you down?" said Megan.

Hearing her familiar voice, Charlotte raised her head and looked at her in the eye.

"I'm just fine."

After calling Charlotte, Yanis got up in a daze and intended to leave, and then she didn't know how long she walked before she found herself on the side of the main road. When she saw streets full of lanes, she actually had the thought of committing suicide.

But she was stunned by herself as soon as she came up with this idea.

She was pregnant, so even if she didn’t care about herself, she must be thinking about her unborn child.

She was squatting still on the side of the road and watching the crowded street.

Then a car stopped in front of her and the door opened.

As soon as Charlotte raised her head, a pair of deep-set eyes came into her sight. It’s Zain Nelson.

"Hello Ms. Wilson. Why are you here?"

Zain looked at her with mixed feelings, and they stared at each other. After a while...Zain reached out to her.

"For whatever reasons, don't cry in here, just get up."

He said seriously just as a strict brother, and the concerns in his eyes warmed Charlotte. She bit her lower lip, and she lowered her eyes instead of getting up.

"Look up." She didn't expect that when her head was lowered halfway, Zain would suddenly scold her

Charlotte was stunned and raised her head again.

"Didn't you hear me? Get up."

"..." Charlotte was speechless.

She bit her lower lip again and couldn't help but said, "Mr. Nelson, although Diana and I are good friends, but... it’s really non of your business."

She was in a bad mood today, what more,... she felt that she and Diana were no longer intimate friends.

She would probably meet Zain less frequently in the future, so originally she wanted to be polite. After all, it was a matter between her and Diana, hence it was wrong to blame others.

But if Zain wanted to interfere with her life, she would have to talk about it.

Zain frowned when hearing this, "What did you say?"

Charlotte bit her lower lip again, and she looked away from him.

In the next second, Zain suddenly stretched out his hands to hold her shoulders and lifted her up without a hitch. Charlotte got shock.

"Do you think I want to meddle in your business? It is you who have a bad influence here, and you will get in the way of others."

Charlotte showed a poker face, but he still kept his eyes fixed on her.

Unexpectedly... even the way she got angry and willful, she was very similar to him.

Is she...Is she the sister that he had been seeking for for more than 20 years?

Damn it, why didn't he find it out before, and how did those people find Diana? Did Diana learned Charlotte’s secret then betrayed her?

But...why did everyone know about it except Charlotte herself?

Ugh.

Thinking of this, Zain heaved a sigh inexplicably.

"Leave here first, you look dispirited now."

Charlotte was taken aback. Of course she knew she was dispirited, but she was not in a good mood, so she didn't care about what she looked like at that moment.

"You are leaving here."

"Megan, get her in the car." Zain commanded coldly.

Megan couldn't help but smile, and then walked to Charlotte, holding her hand genially, "Ms. Wilson, it's really dangerous since baddies and good people mix together here. And I think you don’t have any friends here, please follow us and get out of here."

After saying that, Megan pulled her into the car. Although Megan was polite, but she had a tough attitude.
