Second Marriage novel Chapter 335

In the hotel room.

After taking a bath, Charlotte wrapped herself in a bath towel and lay alone in bed.

She didn't bring any clothes with her, and she didn't realize it until she finished her shower.

Everything that happened today caught her off guard, and she was so shocked that she couldn't think straight and she was slow to react to everything.

For example, she didn't realized that she hadn't had any clothes with her until she finished the shower, didn't realized that she didn't eat until she was feeling hungry, and didn't realized that her cell phone was dead until she tried to make a phone call.

She had also forgotten to bring the charger over.

Well, never mind. She wanted to be leave alone for the time being anyway.

With this thought in mind, she sat up and buried her face in her knees.

The doorbell rang…

Charlotte heard the doorbell of her room suddenly rang, but she kept sitting there.

It was late at night. And who would that be?

The doorbell rang again…

It was kept ringing, as if it wouldn't stop until she opened the door.

Charlotte remained motionless for a while. Then she suddenly got up and went out of bed barefoot. When she opened the door, she saw several men standing outside.

When she was still in a daze, she heard a cold voice.

"Turned around, all of you."

Before all the other people could see what Charlotte was wearing, they were scolded, then closed their eyes and turned around.

When Charlotte was still in a daze, Zain had looked away from her, walked into the room directly with his tall and big body, and closed the door behind him. He didn't look at her while he said coolly, "You need to go to the bathroom."

When Charlotte saw Zain, she was kind of surprised, "Why are you here?"

Finding that she was still standing there, Zain did not look back, but relying on his intuition, reached for her wrist and pulled her into the bathroom. Then he closed the door.

Charlotte stayed in the bathroom for a long time, and she was still in a trance.

In the middle of the night, Zain had come to her hotel room suddenly.

Not knowing how long it took, Charlotte heard his cold voice outside the door, "Open the door."

Charlotte paused for a minute. Then she opened the door and stuck her head out of the door. Zain stuffed her a bag suddenly, and then he slammed the door shut again.

After Charlotte opened the bag, she found a set of clothes.

She didn't expect that he would be so considerate to even think of it.

Charlotte hesitated for a while before changing the clothes. She had been wondering if she would have to wear the same clothes she had worn today to go out tomorrow, but now she had new clothes to change.

When Charlotte came out after changing her clothes, she saw Zain sat on the chair in the room, staring at the table solemnly and she had no idea what he was thinking about.

Hearing the footsteps, Zain raised his head, and his eyes finally fell on Charlotte's face.

It was also at this time that Charlotte found that there were much more stuffs in the room, all of which were prepared by Zain for her.

Zain got up and walked to her. With a net height of around 6'1'', Zain was like a mountain to Charlotte when he was standing in front of her. It was so suffocating that she could hardly breathe.

Especially... after hearing Megan's words, Charlotte felt awkward in facing Zain now.

Was this guy…really her family?

Her elder brother?

Charlotte was used to being an elder sister and never thought she would have an elder brother one day.

It felt strange, so strange.

She couldn't get used to it.

"It's all right if you don't want to go home. If you want to stay here for a long time, it is OK. I have paid for the room for another week at the front desk. And there are some clothes for you. Someone will come here regularly to deliver your meals every day. There is a charger and a phone on the table, and I also brought you a laptop so that you can surf the internet when you are free."

Charlotte, "…Mr. Nelson, you…"

She didn't expect that he could be so thoughtful.

For the first time in her life, she was taken care of by an elder brother. She felt warm-hearted.

"Don't call me Mr. Nelson." Zain interrupted her, and he pursed his thin lips. "Didn't Megan make the whole thing clear enough to you?"

Charlotte had nothing to say and bit her lip for a while. Megan had made it clear enough for her. But she couldn't accept the fact in a short time.

"I know you can't accept it for the time being. It's okay if you don't want to call me brother, but don't call me Mr. Nelson either. It seems we are strangers to each other when you call me like that."

'Then what should I call you?' Charlotte said to herself and glanced at him but remained silent.

"Well, let's stop talking about it. You can sit down and eat something now."

Charlotte followed him to the dining room. There was some food on the table now, and all of them were light diet.

Zain pulled the chair for her, and his voice sounded rarely gentle.

"Come sit here."

Charlotte glanced at him hesitantly, but still walked over to sit down. Then Zain filled the bowl with porridge for her and handed her a spoon. He made Charlotte felt kind of embarrassed. She lowered her eyes and said nothing to him.

Then, Zain sat down on the chair opposite her, and then Charlotte heard him eating.

She couldn't help but raise her head, and sure enough she saw Zain sitting opposite her eating.

She felt so awkward... and couldn't help biting her lip, "You just... don't think it's weird at all?"

"What?" Zain raised his head. "You mean ...the relationship between us? Or your identity?"

"The whole thing comes as a surprise, how did you ... accept and get used to it so quickly?"

Hearing this, Zain curled his thin lips and smiled faintly, then said, "How could you say it was a surprise? It was surprising to you, but to me ... It had bothered me for more than twenty years. Besides, I have checked your identity for a long time."

Charlotte recalled what Megan had told her. She could not help frowning and asked, "Since the day I met you at the airport?"

Zain nodded, "Close to that, I was suspicious when I saw you for the first time."

"Have you never been worried that my mother was lying to you? After all, the tile of the Nelson family, everyone wants..."

"I heard Megan that he had taken you to the room. You should know that there are certain things that cannot be lied about."

What he said really made sense. Charlotte pursed her lips, "Then what are you going to do... with Diana?"

"Her last name should not have been Nelson." Zain took a deep breath and said coldly. "She stole your identity and lurked by your side for so long, knowing all the things. Silly girl, how come that she knew everything, while you knew nothing?"

Charlotte, "I don't know. I've never... never doubted my origin before."

So she did not know how on earth Diana knew all about it, and even put all the pieces together.

"Well, since you could still keep consoling yourself in that situation, no wonder you didn't doubt your life experience." At this point, Zain looked at her full of tenderness. "Eat the meal now. I heard Megan said that you were in a bad mood for the whole day today. Rest early after eating, and I will come back to see you tomorrow."

He said naturally, as if they were already very familiar with each other.

But Charlotte still couldn't get used to it. She wanted to refuse him, but when she looked up to see all of the tenderness and care in his eyes, she kind of couldn't bear to do it.

After all ... He had been looking for his sister for more than twenty years.
