Second Marriage novel Chapter 365

Alice and Jack were both slept soundly in the car.

Yanis had been staring at the outside with great anxiety. She liked to sleep during trips. It was the first time that she was so energetic. She kept observing the cars passing by them. But she hadn’t seen the car of Kennedy.

But she was still very worried that Kennedy would find them.

Finally, they arrived at B City. The street was full of traffic at night.

B City was a big city. Even after 12 o’clock at night, there were still many people who still didn’t rest and their nightlife had just begun.

Street lamps lit the road. After passing several streets, Yanis finally breathed a sigh of relief when she saw many local cars around them.

Even if they were all in B City, it was very difficult to recognize them in so many cars. Kennedy might have gone to another street.

Thinking of this, Yanis felt relieved. She leaned back on the seat and closed her eyes.

She was exhausted after keeping observing cars for several hours.

Yanis intended to take a nap, so she said, “Marco, please wake me up when we arrive. I want to sleep for a while.”

“Okay.”

Marco replied to her gently.

Not long after Yanis fell asleep, Zain called Alice. She didn’t notice it when the phone vibrated. Jack found it and pulled her sleeve to wake up her.

Alice opened her eyes and asked, “Jack?”

“Mommy, your phone is vibrating,” Jack said.

Then she came to her senses. She picked up the phone and found that it was Zain.

“It’s called by your uncle. You answer it.”

“Okay.”

Jack answered the phone. Alice was still dizzy after sleeping for a long time, so she didn’t answer the phone call.

Jack hung up the phone, and then he said, “Mommy, Zain said he would wait for us at the next intersection.”

“Why do you know where he is now?”

“I just sent him our location.”

Then Jack told it to Marco.

Marco nodded and said, “Got it.”

At the next intersection, Alice saw Zain’s car. He stood not far from the intersection, looking at them.

“It’s my uncle!” Jack said excitedly.

Alice looked at Yanis. She was still asleep.

Jack asked, “Mommy, shall we wake up Yanis?”

“No, Yanis is tired. She has just fallen asleep. Let her take a rest.

Then the two of them got out of the car together and walked to Zain.

“Zain,” Alice worriedly looked at Zain’s dark circles and said, “I have told you that we are fine. You don’t need to come to pick us. It’s so late.”

Zain looked from head to toe to make sure that she was fine. Then he said, “I am worried about you.”

Alice said, “I’ve sent a message to you. We were fine at that time.”

Zain said, “I don’t think much. It’s good to see that you are fine now.”

“Zain!”

Jack came forward to hug Zain when they chatted. Zain rubbed his head gently and then easily carried him in his arms with one hand. He asked, “Are you tired?”

“I’m not tired at all. Zain, thank you.”

“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have urged you to come back.”

“Come on, get into my car. I’ll take you back to the Nelson family.”

“Wait a minute.”

Alice looked back, walked to Marco and said to him, “Marco, please go back with us. Yanis is still sleeping. Please wake her up when we arrive later.”

Marco nodded gently at her.

There was a familiar car passing by the street. The man in the car looked straight ahead with a cold face.

Then he unconsciously looked in the direction of Alice.

At this time, Alice had walked to Zain’s car and then she got in the car.

Kennedy just saw her face for a second. But he was stunned. When he came to his senses, he found there was a car driving towards him in the left lane.

He frowned and spun the wheel quickly.

Bang!

Alice and Jack had just got into the car when they heard a loud noise.

Both of them turned to look back and found a car hit the guardrail next to them, and then stopped.

When Alice saw this scene, her heart began to beat fast. She felt uneasy and pressed her breast to calm down. Then she unconsciously said, “Why are there so many accidents tonight?”

Zain also saw the car, and said coldly, “These people were too careless when driving. Let’s go first.”

“Okay. I feel uncomfortable to see it.”

Jack hugged Alice and said, “Mommy, don’t be afraid. I’ll protect you.”

Alice felt warm when she heard his words. When the car started, she couldn’t help looking back at the car not far away through the window.

The owner didn’t move and the door didn’t open.

She didn’t the situation of the man in the car.

Alice rubbed her eyebrows and then looked away.

They soon arrived at the Nelson family. When the car entered the mansion, Alice felt very strange looking at those buildings.

She had been here before. But since she knew her origin, she didn’t come back here again. It had been five years since she left.

She had many memories of this place.

At that time, she was not the daughter of the Nelson family. She was just a...

“Here we are.”

Zain’s voice interrupted her thought.

Then Alice got out of the car with Jack.

After getting out of the car, she saw Marco’s car coming in. She said softly, “Yanis is still asleep. I'll wake her up.”

She walked to Marco’s car and then opened the door to wake up Yanis.

Yanis was sleeping soundly. She seemed to make a dream. She was holding her arms and smirking. Alice called her names and she was still asleep. It was probably that Zain felt impatient. He also came here at this time.
