Second Marriage novel Chapter 172

Charlotte glanced at her, but didn't answer.

"Did you hear? I'm talking to you."

Hearing it, Charlotte smiled calmly, "You roar so loudly, do you think others can't hear it?"

Ivy glared at her, "Then you should answer me."

"Don't you have something to say? Hurry up, I have to get off work."

Ivy was so angry that she wanted to go over and tear Charlotte up, but thinking of her plan, she had to hold back.

"What we did before is my fault. I apologize to you."

Charlotte paused and couldn't help but raise her eyebrows and glance at her. She only saw Ivy look gloomy, and the anger in her eyes was so much that as if she could not wait to rush over and beat her down immediately. Charlotte said, "Miss Ivy, you came to apologize to me with a vicious hatred. Before you said this, I thought you had a deep grudge against me."

"You!"

"To be honest, I don't care what your purpose is, but we are both ordinary employees. It will not do you any good to hurt me. As for apology, I have nothing to talk with you. So, I will leave first."

After speaking, Charlotte turned and left.

After she left, Mandy quickly walked out of the dark, "Ivy, don't be angry. She is nothing. How dare she not accept your apology. You can rest assured, even if she doesn't trust us, we can still break her down."

Time flew, and in a blink of an eye it was the day before the anniversary event.

Diana came to Charlotte.

"I heard that your company has a banquet for the anniversary event. Can I also participate as your family member?"

Charlotte, "...I haven't heard of it, but if you want to participate, I will ask about it."

Diana hugged her and kissed her, "Lottie, you are so kind."

Charlotte laughed too, "It's fine that you are happy."

Then she paused, thinking of Diana's brother Zain.

Since last time they friended on WeChat, they hadn't spoken yet. It was quite embarrassing. When she was hesitating whether to tell Diana about this, Diana dragged her to choose a dress.

In fact, Charlotte planned to wear ordinary clothes to go there that night, hiding herself in the crowd.

She had already established too many enemies in the company. She should be a little low-key that night at the banquet.

However, Diana actually picked her a red dress.

"It is too eye-catching. I don't want it," Charlotte refused directly.

Diana clasped her waist and whispered, "What are you afraid of? You are Mrs. Moore. Even if you were a limelight at the banquet that night, are you afraid that you can't afford the honor?"

"But...really not."

People in the company didn't know that she was Kennedy's wife.

And she and Kennedy would also divorce, and she was not Kennedy's wife.

"It's okay, if you're worried about the price. I will buy it for you." Diana pushed her into the fitting room and asked her to try it out.

Charlotte was standing in the fitting room with her red dress. She had no choice but to take off her dress and put it on. There was no mirror in the fitting room. After Charlotte finished wearing her dress, she always felt that the dress was extremely sexy. She struggled in the fitting room for a long time, Diana urged her outside.

"What's going on? Come out and show me."

"Diana, that..."

Charlotte opened the door of the fitting room by a small slit. Diana squeezed in, and was stunned when she saw Charlotte.

The bright red skirt made her white skin look brighter and more attractive, and the skirt was a design of V-neck, which completely showed her softness. Furthermore, she looked indifferent, and her look really had a peerless and independent.

It made Diana even think of the woman she saw in the photos of the Nelson family.

That was, Mrs. Nelson, the mistress of the Nelson family.

Diana panicked. If Charlotte appeared at the party in this dress, then...

"Diana, what's the matter with you?" Charlotte's question made Diana come to realize. When she met Charlotte's eyes, she was a little flustered and shook her head, "No, nothing. You are so beautiful and amazing in this dress. You surprise me."

Charlotte lowered her head and stretched out her hand to cover her neckline awkwardly, "I think this dress is too revealing, should I change it?"

"No. This one is fine." Diana turned and went out. "I'm going to check out."

Charlotte tried to hold her, but Diana walked quickly.

When Charlotte came out after changing her clothes, she had bought both dresses.

"Lottie, I have bought the dress, let's go."

Charlotte gave the shopping guide a hesitant look, and finally could only follow her away.

After getting in the car, Diana said directly, "In order to prevent you from secretly taking the skirt back and changing it, I decided to leave the dress with me. I will come to you at noon tomorrow, and I will bring you the dress at that time."

Charlotte, "Diana..."

"Okay~ I'll send you home."

Diana sent her directly back to the door of the Moore family, just when Kennedy came back from the company.

As soon as Diana saw Kennedy, her eyes lit up, and then she waved at him, "Mr. Kennedy!"

Kennedy didn't look at her. Suddenly, he thought of something, and he paused.

After a moment, he looked back, his gaze flicked over Charlotte to Diana's face, and nodded.

The smile that stiffed on Diana's face, became more brilliant.

"Mr. Kennedy, I will send Lottie back."

"Yeah." Kennedy hummed as a response.

Then he moved his gaze and suddenly said, "It's too late, let Nathan send you back."

"What? No! I can drive home by myself." Diana was flattered.

Nathan listened to Kennedy's instructions and had to step forward, "Miss Nelson, I'll send you home."

Diana then handed him the key, "Then, thank you, Assistant Nathan."

"It doesn't matter, Miss Nelson, you sent our Mrs. Moore back. As Mr. Kennedy's assistant, I should also send you." Nathan smiled and took the key and spoke.

With that said, Diana's look changed.

"Let's go Miss Nelson."

After Nathan sent Diana away, Charlotte stood there looking at the car that was going away in a daze. There was the sound of a wheelchair rolling behind her. Looking back, Kennedy had already rolled the wheelchair in by himself.

Thinking of something, she hurried to catch up.

"Why did you ask Nathan to send Diana back? What on earth do you want to do?"

Kennedy went on without saying a word, seeming not to hear what she said.

Charlotte was anxious, biting her lower lip and following him, "I am talking to you, what do you want to do to Diana?"

Usually, he had never being courteous to anyone. He actually asked Nathan to send Diana back.

Charlotte stepped in front of Kennedy.

"Are you deliberately angry with me? Because I don't agree with you walking too close to Diana, you deliberately asked Nathan to send her back in front of me. Kennedy, do you have this intention?"
