“You!” Covering her face, Yanis wanted to move forward. Diana took a step back, “Remember that, get away from me. As Miss Nelson, I would not be easily offended.”

Yanis did not care about that and had to slapped on Diana.

She was strong and fast, so Diana had no time to avoid it but got slapped on face.

“How dare you?”

“Since you beat me, why can’t I beat you?” Yanis said fiercely.

Diana covered her face and stared at Yanis angrily, as if she wanted to tear her apart, “Don’t think you are Charlotte’s friend, and I won’t do anything to you.”

“Sure you can do anything to me. You even tried to steal her husband, and I am just her friend. Of course you will be cruel to me, right?”

Hearing that, Diana changed her face, “What are you taking about? I don’t understand.”

“No?” Yanis wiped the blood on her mouth corner and sneered, “Of course you don’t understand, you have to pretend. You pretend to be her best friend, and to be a white lotus in the front of Mr. Kennedy. You wear this to seduce Kennedy, do you think I can’t see that?”

Yanis was not polite to Diana.

At first, sheh just suspected her, but when seeing that she came back with Kennedy and found her smile, Yanis was sure about that.

“What can you see? You are just guessing? What do you think I have done? Do you have evidence? If you don’t, don’t slander me.”

“I know you won’t admit that.” Yanis snorted and raised her phone, “I have taken pictures of you being together with Mr. Kennedy and sent then to Charlotte. What will she think of you? Do you think you can still be friends?”

Hearing that, Diana was surprised, “What are you doing?” She came forward to take Yanis’ phone, Yanis took a step back and sneered, “What is that? Didn’t you say you have done nothing? Why are you so nervous?”

Diana tried hard to calm herself down, “So what if you have sent to her. I am innocent, besides, Charlotte will not believe you.”

“Fine, let’s see.” Yanis put away her phone and took a sharp look at Diana before she left.

When Charlotte got up to get water, the phone rang. She took a look at it and found the video Yanis sent to her. She froze and stood there for a long time. She didn’t even notice the water was overflowing.

She came back to her sense till the hot water made her feel in pain. Trembling, she put down the cup and then took a look at her red palm and fingers.

After thinking for a while, she flushed it with cold water and applied orment and then went back to her post.

As she sat down, Yanis sent her another message.

{I know you don’t believe me, but there is a video, which shows that I didn’t talk nonsense. Charlotte, i am good at reading people. Trust me.”}

Charlotte was silent, looking at this message. As she was about to reply, Diana called.

Seeing that, Charlotte quivered. And then the phone fell onto the ground. It was not high, so the phone was ok and it was still ringing.

A moment later, she picked it up.

“Hello?”

Charlotte did not say a word and wanted to hear what she was to say.

“Sorry, Charlotte.” Diana’s voice was upset felt wronged, “Did Yanis send you the video? Don’t believe what she said. We are good friends, I will never betray you.”

Charlotte forced a smile. As she was to say something, she felt her throat tight. Diana continued, “I pick you up when you are off, we will talk about it, ok?”

Charlotte had to agree.

Kennedy asked her to go to his office and handed her a proposal and asked for her advice. Charlotte was surprised to take that proposal, because Kennedy never asked her for advice, why…

There was a knock on the door.

The office door was opened. A slender figure came in. It was Manfred.

Charlotte was still reading the proposal carefully and did not notice who had come it.

Manfred saw Charlotte inside, his eyes became gloomy, but soon they became soft. He walked to the desk with steady steps.

“Kennedy.”

Charlotte raised her head suddenly when she heard Manfred’s voice.

Originally, Kennedy had been looking at Charlotte from the corner of his eyes and wanted to see her reaction. That she suddenly raised her head anger him. He clenched his hand more tightly.

After meeting Manfred, Charlotte continued to lower her head. Manfred transferred her job, but she refused, but now she was in Kennedy’s office, since Kennedy promoted her. Would he think she was a vain woman?

“What is it?” Kennedy’s voice was cold and his eyes were sharp like a knife.

Manfred glanced at Charlotte’s face and then took back his eyes.

“Come and submit the file.” Manfred stepped forward to put the file on the desk.

Kennedy stares at that document and said in a cold voice with sarcasm, “Since when you come to submit file by yourself, brother? Or do you want to see someone since she is here?”

Charlotte, “......”

She didn’t say anything. How did she get involved?

Kennedy held hostility to Manfred. They were not born by a mother, so Charlotte understood that, but she did not want to be the victim in the middle.

Manfred showed a slight smile, “You misunderstand, my secretary has important things to deal with, so I came. Take a look at the file and sign if there is no problem.
