As her words fell, the smile on Yanis’ face froze. Embarrassedly she looked at Charlotte, “So... you are not here to restore our relationship? Then my present...”

“I don’t know, if I don’t come, maybe... I really won’t know you what you did, I’m sorry...”

Yanis stood still and got her eyes red too. But she wiped her tears and self-mockingly smiled, “Am I stupid? In your eyes, I’m just one of those gossip girls? At first, I was arrogant to you, but later I found that I misunderstood you, so I wanted to be your friends, but now... do you think I am forcing you?”

“No.” Charlotte shook her head and said, “You are very kind to me. I was too petty. Let’s be friends again.”

Yanis looked at her with tearful eyes and did not say a word.

“You have to go shopping with me after work to make up for your mistake.”

After Charlotte agreed, Yanis finally smiled with tears.

Yanis was simple-minded. Her request was like a child’s to adults. Charlotte felt she was like a kid and was not malicious, so she would not care about what she said.

After they were friends again, they could go to the canteen together again. Yanis had no change and asked her things about Kennedy in a few hours.

“How are things going with you and Mr. Kennedy? Did you woman have an impact on your feelings?”

Charlotte scooped the soup in the bowl. She raised her head and asked after a moment of thinking, “Are you really interested in what’s going on between us?”

Yanis nodded hard, “Yes, I should care about my friend.”

“Well, let me tell you now, there is no feeling at all between me and Mr. Kennedy. Do you believe it?”

Yanis looked at her in a stunned manner and blinked, “If that so, why did you get married? He’s a cripple. I thought you married him because you love him.”

Hearing the word “cripple”, Charlotte wrinkled her delicate brow and corrected her, “Don’t say that.”

Yanis was stunned and then pressed her lips , “Didn’t you say you have no feelings? Why do you stand up for him?” At this point, Yanis took a look at her, “Is that he doesn’t like you but you like him?”

Charlotte could only be silent by that.

She did not defend for oneself nor say other things, but calmly looked at her. Yanis understood, “Really? Do you really like Mr. Kennedy? But he doesn’t like you.”

“Not so loud.” Charlotte said.

Yanis nodded her head, lowering her voice.

“What are you going to do? If he does not like you, it is more dangerous. God, Diana......”

“Don’t mind that, no one can control feelings, and our relationship is complicated. In short, stay out of it.”

Yanis curled her lips, “All right.”

After work, Charlotte wanted to come to Yanis, because she promised to go shopping with her, so she completely forgot that Kennedy asked her to go home together.

“You were supposed to wait for me after work.” Kennedy’s voice was cold.

By that, Charlotte instantly remembered what he had said to her in the office. She said, “I forgot it.”

As her words fell, Kennedy’s breath became cold, “What?”

The cool air blew on the face. Charlotte subconsciously shrank her neck. Yanis was scared and hid behind her, secretly looking at Kennedy.

By comparing, Charlotte found herself was calm in the face of Kennedy.

At least, she did not act like Yanis.

Thinking of this, Charlotte took a deep breath, “I agreed to go shopping with Yanis. Why don’t you go home by yourself?”

Kennedy did not speak, but coldly glanced at her.

Hiding behind her, Yanis said, “How about you go back first, we can make a rain check.”

Kennedy suddenly asked, “Where are you going?”

“What?”

“Get in, I take you there.”
