Second Marriage novel Chapter 216

“Any problem?” Kennedy gave her a glance.

Charlotte dared not say that. She just felt strange that Kennedy would go with them. Based on his personality, he should force her to take a rain check with Yanis and told her to get into the car.

It was a surprise, anyway.

Yanis gave the space behind to them, but they did not say other words till they arrived. Yanis secretly took a look at them and found that Kennedy was expressionless and his eyes were as cold as ice, but Charlotte sitting next to him had not expression either.

Had she not known that they were husband and wife, she would have thought they were strangers.

It was really embarrassing.

It looked like that they really had no feelings, but…

Yanis took a look at Charlotte through the corner of her eyes. So Charlotte liked him, but he did not like her. It must be hard to like such a cold person.

All of a sudden, Yanis felt distressed to Charlotte.

The atmosphere in the car became extremely awkward. In that way, they arrived at the destination. Yanis said, “Park in the front, we will get off there.”

Nathan parked in the designated intersection. Yanis smiled at him and said thank you, and then untied the seat belt to open the door, and waited on the side.

Charlotte was to get up, and Kennedy said, “Push me.”

Charlotte, “??”

Kennedy glanced at her, “I go with you.”

Charlotte was surprised to hear that, “Do you want to go shopping with us?”

“...Didn’t I tell you?” Kennedy said with dissatisfaction.

“All right.” Charlotte came forward to push his wheelchair.

When Yanis saw Charlotte pushing Kennedy to get off the car, she winked at Charlotte as if she had known everything..

Nathan lowered the window and said, “Mr. Kennedy. I am gonna find a place to park the car. I’ll come back to you later.”

“Ok.” Kennedy answered indifferently.

Nathan went to park the car. Yanis walked to Charlotte with small steps. She summoned up the courage and said, “Mr. Kennedy, it may be boring to go shopping with women, are you sure you are going to go with us?”

“Boring?” Kennedy took a look at her through the corner of his eyes. Suddenly he thought of something, “You are the one in the anniversary event?”

Hearing that, Yanis was surprised, “Mr. Kennedy, do you remember me? But don’t need to thank me specially, it was not a big deal. Mr. Kennedy, I am Yanis of financial department, the director of financial department is my father.”

Charlotte was stunned to hear that.

Kennedy sneered in her heart. What was going on with this woman? When did he say he was to thank her?

Thinking of this, Kennedy sneered, “Didn’t you say I don’t need to thank you especially, then why do you introduce yourself?”

Yanis felt embarrassed, so did Charlotte. As she wanted to say something for Yanis, Kennedy said, “I will raise your salary next month.”

Hearing that, Yanis jumped up excitedly, but letter she held it back because there were many people, “Thank you, Mr. Kennedy! Mr. Kennedy, you are best! I am Yanis of finance department, please remember!”

Charlotte, “...Didn’t you say you don’t need thank you especailly?”

Hearing that, Yanis bit her lips, “Yes, but Mr. Kennedy is the president, it is easy for him to raise my salary. He doesn’t do it especially, right, Mr. Kennedy?” She was pleased.

Charlotte was dumbfounded.

She did not expect that. Why didn’t she see that before?

Originally Kennedy did not bother to answer her, but when he found Charlotte’s expression, he felt it quite interesting, showing a cheerful expression. He curled his lips, “Right.”

Charlotte was speechless, pushing Kennedy into the mall with Yanis.

Nathan who went to park the car followed them quickly.

“Nathan is here. I’ll go and see him.”

Yanis ran to stand with Nathan, leaving the space to Charlotte and Kennedy.

It was Yanis wanted to go shopping, and Charlotte was to accompany her. Now Yanis walked behind her, Charlotte did not know where to go. She aimlessly pushed Kennedy and asked, “Anywhere you want to go?”

“Huh?” Kennedy raised his eyebrows, “Wasn’t you want to go shopping?”

Charlotte explained, “It is Yanis, I......”

“You’re a woman, too. Buy whatever you like.”

Charlotte, “......”

“Now that I’m here, I can buy anything for you.”

Charlotte had a bitter feeling in her heart, but she said calmly, “No, I don’t need anything.”

She really didn’t need anything. Kennedy had already prepared a lot of clothes and jewelry for her. She really didn’t know what to buy.

Kennedy narrowed his eyes in surprise, “Do you really have no need, or you don’t dare to spend my money, for fear that I consider you vanity?”

Hearing that, Charlotte smiled faintly, “Don’t you always think so?”

The rhetorical question made him pause, and after a moment he asked in a rather harsh tone, “Won’t I change my mind? Or do you have a definite image of me?”

“I should ask you that, shouldn’t I?”

As they were arguing, Yanis suddenly shouted, “Charlotte, Mr. Kennedy, come here.”

Charlotte subconsciously looked back and found Yanis walk into a jewelry store. Charlotte had to push Kennedy to follow her into the store.

Yanis was afraid of Kennedy at the beginning, but after Kennedy raised her salary, she suddenly felt he was nice. Besides she was easy to be friends with others, she soon adapted to the present situation. She walked in and pulled Charlotte to see the jewelry.

Charlotte pushed Kennedy, so it was inconvenient, but Yanis had been calling her, so she had to move forward.

“Are these earrings nice?”

Charlotte looked forward along her hand. It was a pair of pink diamond earrings shining in the light. Charlotte who had no intention to buy something took a look at it and nodded with a smile, “Nice.”

The color pink fit to the characteristic of Yanis.

“Try it on.” Yanis asked the clerk to take out the earrings and gave them to her.
