Second Marriage novel Chapter 222

“No, I can’t. I promised Charlotte I can’t say it!”

Diana wanted to pull back her hand forcefully with tearful eyes.

“You promised Charlotte?” Kennedy narrowed his eyes and said in cold voice, “What do you hide from me?”

Diana pretended to spill the beans and widened her eyes, “Nothing, I said nothing. Mr. Kennedy, Charlotte should be about to come up. Let me go, and you regard as nothing happened.”

“Nothing happened?” Kennedy curled his lips and showed a bloodthirsty smile. He increased his strength, “Do you think you can fool me? How dare you play in front of me with you clumsy acting skill?”

Diana looked at Kennedy in surprise, “Clumsy, clumsy acting?”

Kennedy sneered, “You had better tell me the truth, I only give you an opportunity.”

Diana knew that she could not pretend it anymore. She could only slowly lowered her eyes, looked down at the ground and calmed down before she said, “I don’t want to say because I have my reason. Charlotte and I are good friends. I have long known it, but I chose to keep quiet because I didn’t want to hurt her. Mr. Kennedy, Charlotte is was poor person. I don’t want her to be hurt again, so can you regard nothing have happened?”

“Tell me, who was the woman that night?” That was all Kennedy wanted to know.

He had Nathan looked for so long, but the news was all false. Now Diana suddenly mentioned it, it was coincidental.

Hearing that, Diana firmly bit her lower lip and refused to speak again.

“Say it!”

Diana was scared, with her tears falling down. And then she cried out, “I’m sorry, Mr. Kennedy, I am really sorry, I really can’t say it. I can’t betray Charlotte. Forget it, Mr. Kennedy.”

As they were talking, footsteps were heard outside. Charlotte asked, “Diana, are you here?”

Hearing that, Diana instantly changed her face. As she was to push Kennedy, Kennedy had loosed her hand, and then turned the wheelchair away far from her.

His behavior was subliminal. Diana just wanted to pretend it and did not expect that Kennedy had a faster action. Her face turned pale instantly.

Kennedy obviously care about Charlotte!

How was this possible??

Not to mention her look, Charlotte was a second marriage woman pregnant with other’s child. Would Kennedy like her?

But if he liked Charlotte, why he held a bad attitude to her?

Diana did not understand, but she had not time to think about it now. Charlotte’s voice once again was heard, “Diana?”

Diana recovered, “Charlotte, I am here.”

She quickly wiped the tears from her face and come to her with a smile.

In fact, Charlotte had been calming herself in the garden for a long time. Finally, she realized that she still had no courage, so she decided to come back to Diana and pretend that she didn’t know anything about it.

When she pushed open the door, Charlotte saw Diana, and Kennedy had gone to the window. All the furnishings in the room were as usual, as if nothing had happened.

“I thought you weren’t here.”

“I just arrived. I thought you’d be here. Have you finished washing the dishes?”

“Yes.”

Diana observed her and found that she did not have anything unusual, so she felt relieved.

She did not want Charlotte to know that so early, in case of any accidents.

Kennedy by the window took a look at Charlotte through the corner of his eyes and found she had no other reaction. He could not help frowning.

Was this woman a pig? Her best friend was in a room with her husband. Didn’t she have any doubts?

She had little sense of crisis and was as stupid as a pig.

Kennedy thought in the heart with disdain.

“It is getting late, I gotta go, and I will see you in another day.” Diana wanted to stop here. She had reached her goal in the face of Kennedy, next she just needed to wait.

Charlotte thought for a while before she nodded, “OK, I’ll send you down.”

Then she saw Diana off and went back to her room in about ten minutes. She did not go to see Kennedy, because her brain was still messy now. She had been thinking the picture that he held Diana’s wrist.

Did Kennedy like Diana?

If he did, would he agree that Diana married to Manfred?

Thinking of this, Charlotte’s hand unconsciously tightened, and then loosened.

Well, if he did, there was nothing she could do. After all, feelings could not be controlled.

Just like she liked Kennedy even if she knew it was impossible that Kennedy would like her. It was completely out of her control.

There was the sound of the wheel rolling. Charlotte looked up and found that Kennedy suddenly arrived in front of her.

When they met each other, Charlotte found his inky eyes as vast as the deep sea. Her lips moved but she did not say anything.

“Charlotte.” Kennedy called her.

“Why don’t you question me?” Inquired Kennedy.

Charlotte, “??”

Kennedy was annoyed to see her confused face. This woman was abnormal recently. When Diana got close to him before, she would be anxious and warmed him not to do anything to Diana.

But now she was eerily quiet.

“Damn it.” Kennedy cursed and said impatiently, “You have no words to say to me?”

Charlotte froze and then realized what he was referring to. “No,” she said thoughtfully, lowering her eyes and looking at her fingers.

Since she had made her decision, she had already decided that she would not say anything more. What Kennedy did had nothing to do with her.

As long as they were both voluntary.

Seeing that she did not care at all, Kennedy was more agitated and looked at her sharply, “No?”

Charlotte shook her head and said firmly, “No.”

She raised her head and looked at him innocently with her cold eyes. “Is there anything I should say to you? Or, you want to hear something from me?”

Kennedy, “...”

He took a deep breath and curled his lips. Finally he sneered.

“Good!”

This woman really was good at pissing him off!
